Restoration of truck rear axle differential | Restore of proactive bridge of 3,5 ton truck - In this video I restore a truck differential. When I work with it. The differential damaged the quite badly. The details are very large and dirty. Rusted bearings can no longer function. Loose bolts are dangerous when they operate on a truck. Please advise me about the errors in this project

There are two wonders in classic tech. This, a Differential and Sewing machine, moving genius things.
hope its only a only a static display,no id marks on dismantle no tensions on assembly no preloads no backlash check,nice paint though.imagine the noise it would make.
It’s like therapy to the mechanics/OCD soul. Nicely done (air tools or drill would simplify) very nice.

Да по ходу они вообще не шарят как это работает,я вот думаю как он ..ля дифф восстановит а он его помыл ..лять😆

Bearings would need to be replaced before this was put into service. Also, as someone mentioned, pinion to ring gear backlash, etc. need to be checked.

в чём заключалось восстановление - совершенно непонятно , ну разве что в покраске. токарно-фрезерный станок - лучше с ЧПУ , или можно даже с механической подачей резца, штангенциркуль, нутромер и другие точные измерительные инструменты, ключи с регулировкой момента затяжки - не не знаю , зачем :) , болгарка и щетка наше всё уха ухаха. и где собственно результат т.е установка и использование по назначению - на 3,5 тонный грузовик - видео работы под нагрузкой.?
Как он его в такое ещё состояние привёл в воде что ли замачивал🤣
Все хорошо,но при разборке агрегата нужно отмачивать резьбовые соединения хотя бы wd-40.Респект!!

Its a 3rd member for a rear differential. Which one I'm not sure, my guess is a late 60s early Chevy c20. It's not a ford 9 or a mopar 8.75
I wouldn’t put that thing in a go cart, nothing torqued, should have replaced bearings, angle grinding the ring and pinion sets with no marking for contact points ? Those bearings and seals should be replaced.

Чото лютая дичь совсем. Взять ржавый редуктор, разобрать его, почистить железной щеткой. На кой вообще было снимать подшипники если ты их помоешь в тазике и обратно поставишь? Так на диффе их помыть нельзя было? Где распорная втулка между подшипниками на ведущей шестерне? Старый сальник оставил. Кто зазоры будет выставлять, преднатяг подшипников? Кто пятно контакта будет выставлять? Разобрали, собрали, крутится -хорошо. Ради такого результата можно было просто вд-шкой залить, потом промыть и краской дунуть. Получилось бы быстрее, и возможно, результат был бы лучше. И еще. Главная пара в раковинах вся. Этот редуктор ставить -только если вообще край и запчастей нет. Загудит и завоет, если не заклинит.
Все новое это хорошо отмытое старое. В чем реставрация? Бред.

this type of unit has no cover it bolts into the whole rear end housing...
awful work, no thread lock, no torque settings, no pinion preload, no measurement of backlash or carrier preload, no tooth pattern, nothing, you just made a rusty tired diff look new
And no new bearing and seal ! I wouldn't buy this shit lolll
You forgot beating on the crown with a steel mallet. 😳 Judging by fact there a makeshift stand to do the work on, assuming this isn't the first rodeo. Definitely sending this to friends as a cautionary tale - be careful what used parts you buy.
No marking the caps for location
You didn't mark the caps for location 1st off that's important since the unit is torqued & honed to specs, next time take a sharp punch & 1 mark on the top of cap & right above it another 1 mark on the case (left side) 2 Marks on the top of the other cap & 2 marks on the case (right side)
I hope it’s only a show piece, and not going back in a vehicle. I didn’t see him torque any of those nuts, and some of the bolt lockers were sheared off, and those bearings need to be replaced after being frozen for so long. That thing will have more shake than Michael J Fox.

You’re not altering the “fit” by cleaning those surfaces of the gears and bearings ? Especially with the wire brush and angle grinder ? Those worm gears are picky about fit. No torque spec ? I hope that is only a “showpiece”.

Presumably it was cast aside bevause it was worn out? So why reuse all the parts? I wouldn't like this on my lorry.

Oh come on ... would it kill you to say what you are doing or at least have a written dialog of what you are doing.... did you watch your video ?? Without more info it is pretty pathetic and worthless we don't even know what car or truck the differential is from.
