How is my knowledge of an electric chain wheel? I am very happy to receive your feedback and suggestions. thank you very much!
i think the speed is wrong
I wondered how far you would get before you realized the chain wasn't reeved . You can use alum and hydrogen peroxide to eat the steel bolt and not hurt the cast aluminum housing . You also need to load test it to 125 % before you think of selling it and you need to fix the safety latch on the load hook and suspension hook . Also I would suggest not using off the shelf fasteners for your hook / chain bolt , suggest you order OEM fasteners for anything load bearing ( don't accept the liability ) . You fixed it now all the liability is on you if something breaks and someone crushes a hand or head .
Kito EDL10S or ST hoist. The slip clutch should not be disassembled because it can only be properly set by the factory.
Like it, though I think it is a 110v motor and you are using 220v.
@@hossrod you're correct, EDL hoists only come in 115v 60Hz.
that trick at the end with the allen key... genius
thank you for watching the video and commenting
Yes very useful,, works with a screwdriver (which I use) or even a sliver of cardboard which you can often find lying around,, and for smaller, use a needle or pin,, ; D Nice use of tools!!
@@dreddj.9451 thank you
Indeed, very clever.

Przepięknie jest to odrestaurowane pozdrawiam serdecznie 👍👍👍👍
In all his videos, how he remembers where everything goes is a extraordinary talent in itself.
That is one of the things a video is for.
Nice job. I would only improve by taking more time during the paint and also wouldn’t hurt using shrink tubes instead of the electrical tape.
Agreed would look a whole lot better with a decent paint job, but still amazing work.
Flawless paint job and snake skin insulation, would have made it very valuable
Iam fall for machines and tools!the world would be best with more people like you!
thank you so much

amazon hoist prices are 200 to 1300 dollars, but your effort to restore is priceless.
U GOTTA APPRECIATE THIS GUYS WORK, CRAFTMANSHIP... THE FACT THAT HE IS GETTING OLD & 4GOTTEN TOOLS & FIXING THEM 2 WORKING ORDER & 2B ABLE 2 USE AGAIN NOT JUST 2 SHOW & MAKING THEM LOOK GOOD.. GREAT JOB... NEW SUB...
I must say, a nice, job, keep up the recycling
Amazing 👍👍👍👍 from indonesia🇲🇨🇲🇨
NICE JOB.
Well done job bro you save the environment
thank you
nice job, great tool to have, and your knowledge is just fine, and you did not forget the gear oil ,
thank you
@@dtrestoration8590 you are welcome
Those things were fantastic back in the day...I haven't seen one since the end of the 70's
They still make these units, and are fairly popular here in Australia. They’re still fantastic, have worked on heaps of them.
A lot of times, riggers will use them to hang light trusses and speaker stacks in large concert venues.
Seen and used this sort of thing hundreds of times and I wasn't even alive in the 70s so not sure where you've been the last 40 years.
Shrink tubing those wires would really make it look more professional, but you still did a great job. Paint job was a little rough, but I liked it.
This is not restoration, this is the ULTIMATE RESTORATION😁😁👍👍
thanks so much
The electrics contains a printed circuit board that is FR4 fiberglass and with CADCAM drawn tracks & silkscreen parts layout which that would say the machine is a bit younger.... Even the screw terminal block is modern plastic derivative. For something from the late 60s they'd have used stuff like phenolic and good old big mechanical relays to do the switch control...
I have used one of those hoists. They are really handy and can allow very few do a lot of work.
Fantastic, thanks. Your patience is way beyond mine on things like this. Where you find the replacements is amazing as well. Bearings, I can understand if you can see the original numbers, but seals and gaskets (the last/electrical cover housing?), wow! I was a bit surprised at the electrical tape vs shrink tubing on the wires though. RichE San Diego, CA
you can watch it forever) Good job!👍😉
Nice one!. Love seeing old bits of kit bought back to life.
Cool trick about pouring the oil! I'll add that to the tool box!
very nice work
It is wonderful to see a mess turned into a masterpiece 👍
Oh man those bearings! Try heating them in your oven so they expand instead of smacking them. Or use something that only contacts the one race that you are pressing.
WHO THE HELL ARE THE 580 PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T LIKE THIS VIDEO... 4REAL COME ON WHATS NOT 2 LIKE HERE, IS IT JEALOUSY, THE FACT THAT THEY CANT DO WHAT THIS GUY IS DOING... I MEAN 4REAL HOMIE THIS IS BADDAZZ WORK...
Good job! Thanks
Seeing all the work you put into this and you wrapped electric tape around the wires,

What could've been used was the MC51 rust remover; it's great stuff for all ancient contraptions, and this includes a nickel plating solution It's understandable that there was no owners manual, to be handling this machine. Try to think of the success we had, when we revamped it. It's true that we had; a lot of parts to reassemble, for this ancient working crane. Make no mistake about it. 💪 👷♀️ 👷♂️
Excellent restoration. Paint job is very good... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
Belíssimo trabalho. Saudações do Brasil.
Nice job
I’ve built and modified a few of these Kito chain hoists before (admittedly new ones, and slightly used ones, I worked for the Australian distributors of the Kito brand) They are a great little unit, main buyers were small garages and manufacturing centers, and our wind farm industry. Can confirm they come in 220 and 110 volt. Also agree that for sale you should test to 125% working load limit. Chain for these is originally nickel plated load chain, so if it’s in that bad of exterior condition, I would have replaced it. Finally, as a few others have said, the clutch assembly is set in the factory to very specific specifications, so wouldn’t have touched it for fear of slipping and missetting. Good job all things considered, but please don’t lift to maximum capacity without maximum safety precautions.
yes. thank you so much for the comment
I would recomend getting a sand blasting cabinet. Would make things much easier but I do enjoy your channel and the quality of work.
If you plan to use it in the shop, replace the bolts with grade 8 pins on the chain mounting and hook mounting points. The winch is only as strong as they are so they’re the weakest link. I’m just thinking safety. Awesome job there!
Congratulations, for the excellent work, I got tired just watching, kkkkkk. But your dedication is commendable, congratulations, accompanies you here from Brazil.
Very nice
GREEEEAAAAT JOB . LOVE IT. KEEP UP THE AWSOME WORK YES SIIIRRRR
Great job.dam lot of work. Really good job 👍
Hi Sir, great job, congratulations 🇧🇷 👏 👏 👏
I think it needs voltage control so it doesn't run too quickly.
Yes. It doesn't have an accurate controller yet.
They dont have voltage controls,, the old ones had to have a load on them,, he did not know how to operate it ,, plus the contacts, and the clutch settings and the pressure plate and and and and
good i like the video
Check every link on the chain for any damage, and wear between the links..and load test it before use.. in the UK , this would be done, to comply with LOLER regulations
Rigtek Scotland ltd with the bolts he replaced them pins with, do you think the chain will be the weak point?
Brave lad! Great restoration!
this is mechanical ASMR.. I was 10 years old and my vcr snapped a rented VHS tape ..unscrewed it.. opened it up and fixed it with some scotch tape..and that was the beginning of my fascination of how things work
This is brilliant.I could watch all day😁
If you use a tripod, your shots will be steadier and look better. Great restoration!!!
Apart from your great satisfaction with the work done, how much new and how much does the restoration cost? Are you using the winch?
Very nicely done, good job from beginning to end!!!
Your a magician my guy! Solid work! Great job
Congratulations for one more amazing video! Only one thing bothers me: the bearings must be placed by hiting the inner ring... this prevent damage into the rings and spheres! Se ya!
Congratulations, just a good job, the old tools were painted with lead paint, then they were banned in 1978 from America, assuming that this winch was built in america. With this I suggest you buy a kit for the detection of lead in the paint, and if necessary, wear a mask for yourself and those who work with you to avoid breathing dust and fumes derived from lead that are carcinogenic to say the least. Thanks for your videos and ciao from Venezia.
Ustam eline sağlık gerçekten keyifle izledim yetenekli insansın devamını bekleriz

You've got yourself a nice chain hoist. Congratulations on a good job restoring it.
thanks so much
Trabalho maravilhoso parabéns.
More than 3 parts and I forget where they go, nice job.
thank you very much
briliant work.i see some of them now and then up here in norway.
So this is the guy that builds all of the tools for Harbor Freight.....
Favorite part: 21:14... that accuracy though. You would hate to see me putting motor oil in my car lol
Very good at getting something old rusty and almost junk going again. Kinda janky with some techniques but glad it worked for you. Restoration? Not even in the same ballpark. Thats more of a farm style overhaul. But you saved a tool that was destined for the scrap heap. Kudos! Keep it up and keep learning
Esse restaurador é muito inteligente...parabéns.
thank you
nice video
I enjoy these videos very much. Spent a lot of my life bringing old motor cycles and odd bits of machinery back to life. But never really to the detail you do.
great job but i think next one you should heat shrink the wires instead of electrical tape lol it will last a lot longer
Great save👍
perfect thank you thumbs up
thank you so much
Make a 20 gal. container of molasses and a little water. Submerge the whole machine...cover and wait 2 weeks. Withdraw and rinse. Touch up spots with wire brush.
Great Restoration.... Loved it..... Keep up the good work....
Nice restore. I would have had parts left over. But, I guess the video helps with that. Cool oil-pouring trick.
THANKS SO MUCH
Que chulo ha quedado. 👏 👏
You are awesome!
I work for a company that makes hoist like this one and many others the one he restored is only rated at 250 lbs they do move that fast due to the moter used it is a 110 or 120 volt brushed moter. Its not very fast we have some that will do over 60 feet per min. It dose need to be load tested again and recertified due to being disassembled. The hooks both need the latch kits put back on there not hard to order online and the hook bolt is very wrong making this dangerous. It is also missing the chain container that all that extra chain is ment to be in to stop crossing over and load shocks. Also an easy thing to get online. Other than that I would say an altogether solid restore keep up the good work.
SUPER
Amazing talent

Very nice work I'm impressed.
