Also, a mom of 11 here..rest is so important. You will never ever regret taking this time. And if you feel like you need rest after that "6 week" period GO AHEAD!!!! These precious babies are what we prayed for... why waste a minute doing something that's not necessary.
Hi Steph, just a quick comment about when you mentioned William screaming from 9-1. Being a mom of 11 my experience is this...when a baby is exposed to life noises during the daytime (the siblings, music, parents talking, washing machine and such) the nighttime quiet sometimes is unsettling. Many of mine needed the "white noise". My number 8 listened to classical music at night and many benefited from just a fan going. I think William is so handsome, congratulations! ~Angel
Hearing your family singing praises and thanks makes me want to cry out of joy. I have 3 under 4 and have been trying to learn how to make our days honor the Lord. I will definitely be adding in the meal thanksgiving song and a praise song time.

I love these videos, I am way, way past childbearing but love the advice for moms. My daughter just had her 5th baby, a boy also, and our only grandson and know she is doing some of the things you have suggested. So great to see loving, godly mothers and fathers. He’s so beautiful I have 5 grandsons and one granddaughter. And we just found out that my 20 year old son and his wife who already has an 11 month old is having a baby and she’s a girl! Life is such a precious thing❤

I struggled with milk supply with my first baby. Taking fenugreek and milk thistle helped alot.
I am barely out of the newborn stage with my second, and this is making me want another already! He’s so incredibly precious!
When I had my 1st baby which was episiotomy and forceps delivery after 3 days I was already hovering and mopping the floors and driving car. It was a really bad idea however everyone in family made me feel like I had to be up and about. I felt guilty for taking any rest. Baby number 2 is due any day now and even if I have straight forward delivery i will make sure to not do anything for at least a week. Just sit and rest. After first delivery i had loads of pelvic floor pain all the way up to 8 months postpartum!
Start saying from early on you are planning the 5 5 5 post partum rule and stick to it. It takes two weeks to heal and rest and get your breast feeding routine. Also no visitors for baby. Those who come to help are welcome.

I have an episiotomy and forceps with my third. Hubby worked away and mum could only manage two days off work. No choice but to rock on. Admittedly the older two missed nursery and school for a few days. Rural life, no one to help us but we are all alive.
My first was forceps & episiotomy after 27 hour induction. I could barely walk for week, sooo painful. Kudos to you! You have my respect. My husband was able to take two weeks off and I am so grateful.
@@jodyhoo We are all very different and with extremely unique circumstances. Obviously, it can be easier or more difficult. Birth is beautiful and frightening in equal measure. Hopefully, most have a gorgeous little one as a result. My heart goes out to those who don’t,

As a mother of 8 I didn’t have time to rest after my births but never felt I had to I was back doing housework the day after giving birth but after a episiotomies I wasn’t able to go out shopping for at least 10 days or more.If you can rest do so look after yourself let your family shower you with their love.William is a beautiful addition to your beautiful family enjoy!!xxxx
