Just got the urge to rewatch this trailer. And it honestly sucks that they didn't sustain the comic book feel for the whole series, it was a great touch that separated the series from other titles.
Agreed, I wish that they would take more chances with the Marvel shows and movies, I loved reading the comics, but the stuff that has come out after endgame has been pretty disappointing. And I'm someone who watched pretty much everything in the MCU up until Secret Invasion.

How? 😂 do you only watch superhero content or something. The cinematography/visuals/direction already look 100x better than any other Disney channel show. Also, because it’s a coming of age story about a young teenager in high school it automatically means it’s Disney channel? 💀 Highschool stories or any storiy about young protagonists don’t have to deal w/ topics of drug s, aIcohoI or s 3 x in order for them not to be “Disney channel” lmfao. The sophistication of the writing is the main tell on whether or not it’s Disney channel quality or not, and so far it looks solid. Have you even seen any great coming of age films/series? A young highschool coming of age story ≠ Disney channel 😂.

@@billybob5161 It's not about the ethnicity, it's how ethnicity (ditto "high moral problems") is being used as the sole reason to put out very shitty shows/scenes. Eternal is boring as heck, Shangchi has some good action scene, but the plot is meh, the "girls' power" scene in end game. Forcibly stuffing those "high moral" crap down the throat of people would just make them cringe.

Nov 8, 2023. I just saw The Marvels lately, and Iman Vellani just stole the show, she nailed it as Kamala Khan on and off-screen. I'm so excited for her MCU future and for her to grow as a future young Avenger

It’ll probably be revealed that she has latent inhuman/Kree genetic markers inadvertently activated through the use of extraterrestrial technology. Think of it as an unstable terrigenesis with her powers only active if the bracelet is turned on. So she has the inhuman markers, they accidentally become activated or mutatated because of this seemingly Kree bracelet. During the Kree experiments on humans lots of things happened, non doucebag Kree came down killed the doucebag Kree war faction bent on experimentation. Inhuman faction rose up against HIVE then splintered, one faction went to the moon, second faction remained on earth and forgot part of their history. Kree technology/artifacts could have proliferated across the world through the natural passage of time seemingly jewelry because they can’t be activated without Kree/inhuman genetics. She will probably get a blood transfusion from Carol which will permanently activate her powers removing the need of a bracelet.
The most Desi thing about Ms. Marvel was when the dad said “we trust you we just don’t trust others around you”.

Ok hear me out, it wasn’t that bad, I watched the show, I actually really loved it, it felt realistic in way, I actually related to Kamala a lot more than I originally expected, I really liked it

Well I hope for it's own sake that they bring their A game later because so far I aint impressed. This is based on the newest version of ms marvel, which clearly exists for P reasons since 2013, and she is not a chub girl. Clearly marvel couldn't resist casting this actress, who will be a P. M. chub than not girl to cover ALL the wke marks. At this point why don't we just banish W people from super hero movies, continue to pretend they dont cover the vast majority of comic fans, make all heroes not W, and while we're at it let's fire all W people involved in creating this entertainment for the masses, and we'll see how wke they remain after they no longer have jobs in their fields of influence. I'm sure they'll still applaud it all while working at mcdonalds. I did enjoy the remixed theme though, and the actress has her cute factor going for her. I do approve of this story existing because I think it's a common theme for people dreaming of becoming a super hero, although they could have used some establishing backstory in previous films to explain why everyone knows who Captain Marvel is in the first place. I don't have a particular problem with it being a M girl, just the fact that she is ONLY that because some wke W person at marvel wanted it so they hired a "special" squad to make it happen. But if there is one thing I dislike, it's the teenager super hero idea. It worked for Peter Parker and that's about it. People have been trying to copy that for decades and all it ever does is come off as sloppy and cheap. Peter is a special case with the proper story that makes it all come together flawlessly. The last thing most all teenagers care about is risking their lives to be a hero for people they don't know. They would actually be quite selfish about it, trying to use their power for self gain. Nothing more. Nothing less. I'll give this show a shot unlike most people who are intent on being anti new age marvel now that thanos is out of the way. What am I going to do, go back to watching boring crap while I wait every few years for a blockbuster unrelated to super heros to be released? This has been heavily edited because N-Z-S run this channel and basically require us to learn ancient egyptian to communicate now. So many words set off auto delete. If you have half a brain you can figure out what I am saying. Might require a google search of the actress...

Even after watching the series, I still get very excited about Ms. Marvel because it definitely blew up my expectations by a lot, it felt more like a Disney Channel series than a Marvel Studios production, and I was totally okay with it! 👍🏾 Everyone did great with this series, the directors definitely gave it a youthful vibe in the first and sixth episodes, and Iman Vellani was so charismatic, lovely, and charming as Kamala Khan! I'm so excited for her MCU future and for her to grow as a future Avenger, she is the face of the next generation of the Avengers.

I was concerned that her stretching arm/fist wouldn’t translate to film, but it looks like they’ve come up with a good effect. The kid is adorable. I’m looking forward to the series and seeing her in The Marvels.

I honestly don’t know why people didn’t like Ms.Marvel. The show was extremely entertaining and all the characters were interesting and played a special role for the entire plot. The actress that played Kamala is fantastic. This show is better that some other Disney + marvel shows.

Wasn’t the part of her story in the comic books that she hated the way she looked but with her super powers she would have the ability to change That but she instead just decided to love herself for the way she was and that was what was so powerful about her character for young kid’s who hate the way they look? yeah, as much I know, her power (according to marvel comics) lets her limbs or any body part to extend and expand for some extent. This trailer showed that she got cosmic power which she used it to make arms and shield, WTH! 😂🙄
To a degree, but that was mostly just the initial story arc, they drop that pretty quickly once being a super hero gives her confidence in herself. But yes, that's why she's mr.s marvel, she initially can shapeshift, and turns herself into captain marvel's previous persona, mr.s marvel. Ultimately keeping the name out of habit.
who cares mcu knows that the comics are just there for direction they are the ones with all the writing talent. The avengers were C tier trash before the movies, the mcu knows what works and what doesnt everytime for some reason.
Looking forward to this show. Didn't expect Marvel to use Blinding lights.

I can’t believe I actually enjoyed this show, I mean I kinda had low expectations but it surprisingly was really good and the characters were quite fun to watch so this show really great and quite fun to watch so I’ll give it a 8/10

@Noob master I think loki and wandavision are more SERIOUS series than ms marvel cuz the last one is more fun, cool and "easier" to watch, you know? like, to pass a good time laughing and feeling good (and learning some culture things and history idk? maybe), something like that. but I definitely recommend it! it's really good and fun!
A little bummed that they're changing her stretching ability to keep it exclusive to Reed Richards. She's basically the Green Lantern with energy stretching. She can do more than just stretch in the comics. But we'll see where this goes.

I think they changed her powers for 2 reasons. 1) to make her fit in with the other Marvels and 2) to differentiate her from Mr. Fantastic because he’s getting introduced very soon.
Just finished watching it today and I absolutely loved it 😍 I love how they included culture in it, I love the humourous scenes and the story telling of Kamala's ancestors Very fun and refreshing to watch can't wait to see her again in future MCU projects

One of the most surprising things I picked up on this show is the architecture and layout of mosques and prayer rooms for Islamic buildings. Was working on a layout for an interior for a building, and I remembered that worship spaces for mosques needed to have this intermediary space between the entrance and main prayer areas. They needed space to store their stuff and wash their feet right next to their worship spaces. So that saved me a ton of work in the relayout and finishing of the interiors. Thank you, Ms. Marvel.

Tonally every Disney production nowadays is the same, from Marvel to Disney. Its just character and story depth which differ. But there will never be a Disney film as grim as "Joker"

Yeah, I don't know about changing her powers like that. I know they showed her massive fist so people will say we shouldn't complain and she still has the powers we know and love, but that was once and the rest of the time she was using cosmic/magic energy. That's like saying, "What are you complaining about? Captain America is still strong, so what if he shoots lasers and teleports too?"

This is an excellent marvel series. It has great performances, incredible action and wonderful humour. Iman Vellani, who plays Ms Marvel has shown that she truly is an amazing actress. Unmissable.

I have to say, I think they're really nailing the tone of a teenage kid who feels isolated and has her head in the clouds. The music is exciting but wistful, and that final shot really sells me on that weird combination of hopefulness, loneliness, heroism, and adventure.

Finished Ms. Marvel on Disney +! Another good MCU series Felt so refreshing to have a Muslim superhero showing more representation I love how we see Kamala’s imagination in the form of animated segments and paper cutouts Lots of stuff in here of the social climate of Muslims being targeted by the governmental authorities, persecution, tolerance/trust, still finding their place in the world since the 1942 British occupation, and easily being labeled as enemies This even shows a great deal of relationships between mothers and daughters, past generations, nations, and self-discovery I can't believe they brought back Department of Damage Control from Spider-Man: No Way Home Kudos to the creators being very authentic with the cultural aspect from the wardrobe to the music to its people to its customs, almost feels like a Bollywood production at one point Really dazzling visuals and fun action scenes too The finale was actually directed by the same guys who did Bad Boys 3 The creators might be alluding to the X-Men and the mid-credits scene looks like it's leading to Captain Marvel 2!!!
I wasn’t excited for this show, but after one episode (and by the end), Ms. Marvel became my personal favorite MCU show thus far!

I love that they really played into her superhero fangirling. I feel like the change to her powers to energy based was to put her on par with Carol and Monica. This also feels like it is geared toward a younger audience than the other shows and I applaud them for that. Not every tie in show has to be so heavy.
I guess it'll all come to how good the writing will be. But I'm not sure it's a great idea giving her the bracelet. I loved how the power was inherent and weird, cause it diggs in the adolescence subtext, and most importantly, she had a set of power that were not similar in nature to Captain Marvel's, making her more unique. They could have made her one of the first MCU mutants. I really love the character, I hope they give her justice.

Say what you want about this series but in my opinion it had one of the best trailers. The music choice was perfect.

The way they synced blinding lights with trailer is just another level...even if this trailer is more kids oriented but the remix of this song kept made me watch this whole trailer with excitement.

While the power change is a bit disappointing, I can understand not wanting to have two heroes with such similar powersets now that the fantastic four are coming to the MCU also. That being said, this series looks awesome and I can’t wait to see Kamala in live-action!
I liked that her powers made her cartoony and fun but... looks like they are not losing that element. For me she is a lot like Peter Parker, only more of a geek than nerd.

I think it was probably too hard to give her powers a realistic view on a limited budget too. Plus Captain Marvel is already known in MCU so no reason to confuse the audience with 2 characters that have basically the same name but different powers

23.2 million more people watched this trailer than watched an episode of Ms. Marvel. Sad because Iman Vellani is a star in the making.
From my perspective, if Marvel plans on making the third Deadpool rated R, which would mean only for mature audiences, I see no issue with a show like Ms Marvel being geared towards younger audiences. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay, but I’m sure many others will love the show as well!

ms marvel is an incredibly new comic they can change things up if they want to and it would be confusing if they introduce inhumans in the mcu so i understand why they wouldnt want her "biggening" powers and her power sets might have to be similar to caroll danvers and monica ranbau so they can have a movie together in captain marvel 2

Honestly the trailer gives such “Never have I ever…” vibes with some super powers but I’m glad they actually showcased her teenage sides. I don’t think this show would appeal to most people especially the comic fans but I’m all for it. So far marvel shows haven’t disappoint me. Also the girl playing Kamala have such a cute smile.😂❤️

I’m 35 not really fan of comics and whatnot but have the show a chance. Kamala is oddly likable she’s got her head in the clouds but he who doesn’t. Her parents are loving but strict and protective for a reason. I totally respect that and love it in fact! All while wanting the best for Kamala. The scenery the design was pretty cool and also the special effects. Additionally the middle eastern style music mixed with modern music mixed with the super hero music almost sounds like mash up and man makes the scene sound so mysterious and epic. Hell of a show had no idea what to expect. Am familiar with the Captain Marvel movie which I didn’t quite care for but also know Ms Marvel from the X-Men episode in the 90s with Rogue
Never did I think Marvel Studios would use “Blinding Lights” in one of their trailers. I’ve heard that song so often at work and it seems to fit very well here!
Im excited about how these "next gen" super heroes are going to unfold. Every hero we had so far kind of took up the mantle on their own in really dire times, but with Hawkeye and Ms.Marvel, they're characters that are inspired by the concept of super heroes, just like us.

I feel as this connects a lot to artists and creatives who wish to live in their own imagination, escapism, which can be much more interesting than reality. Living the dream of being a superhero is probably the first heavy thought driven story kids-teens would think of. Can't wait to see this!

I’m still a little on the fence about the fact that they changed her powers, but everything else looks so on point. It really captures the feeling of an insecure nerdy teenage girl still searching for her identity and slowly coming into her own as a hero. I can’t wait to see more of it when it finally comes out.
