Maybe its just me but I'm thinking it's probably unnecessary to store it in a bucket of mud to make it look like you dug it up from a garbage pile before you start the restore. Just restore it without the manufactured dig drama?
Yeah, looks fake.
It is fake. You don't get that much "rust" on metal without extensive pitting. And it has none.
You do know it could be done like that to make it a little more fun to do right? It is obviously faked considering the first weapons history but still, I enjoy the content and even if it's faked it's not harming anyone
And I better not hear anything about what I said because I'm too tired for shits to be given so don't correct me or I'll do nothing!
Ya you are right
I've never seen anything so "rusty" come apart so easily with wd-40..amazing
My exact fkn thought
Because it's made of USSR top grade metal.
It's fake
That's def fake
@@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist9"do not have nice things because bad people steal" 🤯
It's amazing that this had no actual pitting or intrusive corrosion, a miracle some might say! Not me though I'm just gonna call B.S.
Yeah, rusty plastic grip 😂
Who cares
I disagree *respectfully*
Where's the fun in that?
@@_ctpaxop it respectful not mean you simple minded cyka
You know if you didn't smear mud all over you guns they wouldn't rust.
Great video work obviously. But im thinking the rust and damage to the first gun was heavily staged. The mud and rust on the inside of the firearm means it would have been submerged for quiet some time. And for it to have absolutely no corrosion or pitting tells me it was more than like purposfully placed in mud/water just long enough to form some nice rust for the video. Just my opinion though obviously.
Tbh, as far as i know it cant be this way if the found that gun in the swamp or something. The mud would’ve protected the gun from deep pitting
Agree
@@mariarusselldinopol7307 I agree with you
Not just your opinion but it is obvious. It is a fake restoration in the way it was intentionally burried to rust for a while.
At least they are restoring things that could get rusty. And not a rusty rubber tire.
Did anyone detect any deep pitting, on even the softer metal parts, of that object? Severe rust, not baked mud, on the finish? This doesn't pass the sniff test.
Fake
Yup thats what im about to say as well no pitting whatsoever this is fake
when he pulls out the ak bolt the gas tube is literally shining
And somehow the synthetic grip panels could even rust
Is a top notch USSR quality metal. Doesn't rust in mud that much
There's no way this isn't staged. No one in their right mind is going to ignore a basic rule of firearm safety, always treat a weapon as if it's loaded, to first scrape mud off of it THEN drop the magazine.
How if its too rusty..
Exactly
I agree with you. However, if you understand firearm mechanics for this firearm, it only fires from the open bolt position. This means that because the bolt was fully forward it was in a safe position with or without rounds in the magazine.
@@austingignac8683 Thanks for the insight. I'm falling back on the firearms safety I learned in the military. Whether it was a 9mm, M16, SAW, M60 (an open bolt weapon), 50 cal or a Mk19 we assumed it was loaded until we personally verified otherwise.
I was trained the same when I was in. When I went into my trade as a weapons technician, we learned those neat little tidbits.
Believe or not, if this gun were to be completed submerged in a container of peroxide for at least 24 hrs, it will look brand new!
This video may as well be an assembly of a new parts kit. Anyone who has dealt with rusted metal knows what it really looks like.
All depends on how old the rust is!
Looks like me it was stuck in a bucket of mud for a month tops. If it had been any longer it would be pitted and it would not be able to unscrew those screws
That's the best restoration I've ever seen, even the blueing is so professional, not just the copper sulfate ghetto version.
It was staged.
You really know that guns hardware like the back of your hand very impressed!👌🏼
He is likely a Russian😂
Staged
Cuz he did! He bought it, disassemble it, rusted it and did the video 😂
@@IlNamelessKinglI he left the gun in salt water. even someone as dumb as you should be able to figure that out.
🔥🔥🔥
Awesome 😂the way the mud kept it from pitting at all is truly miraculous 😂 you should have another channel where you show how you stage this 💩.
you realize most people know the damage and wear is artificial. It's the cleaning and ASMR most people watch these for. Calm down.
What kind of camera do you use?
These guns look more in shape than my guns was put in the dirt for a year
Consistently uses hardware store hand tools. I have not seen a single gunsmithing tool used. It's probably ok, though, because I haven't him work on a real firearm, only replicas. Nothing wrong with restoring replicas, lots of people enjoy them. Just be aware of the difference. And, please, if you "restore" a real gun, have it checked by a qualified gunsmith before you try to fire it.
no blueing
What spray paint did you use for the black
Excellent video production. That's a lot of hard work well done. Looking forward to more. I have an old, rusty navy colt 36cal. I bet it's an uberti. I worry about using the metal brushes. That would scratch the surface. The liqui-moly is something I've never heard of. I'll check it out.
These are staged restorations. No pitted metal and all springs intact are two big ones.
Excellent work Sir, congratulations.👍🇧🇷
It's actually pretty dope to see the restore process. But I ain't going to lie, I wish there was some commentary so we know what you're actually doing and why. Also the chemistry reactions etc. That would make your channel so much better. Well.. at least imo. Good stuff regardless. Editing is on point!
It was staged and you fell for it. With respect
@@davidmcalevey6465 still doesn't change what I said. I'd still like some commentary. With respect.
@@tomle2553 you were tricked dude. This is not a restoration video, like you claimed it was
@@lanowyn never said it was a "restoration video". Just said it was dope to see the restore process. Don't care if it was staged or not. You missed my point entirely.
@@tomle2553 so you're willfully supporting a disingenuous youtuber knowing it may not be real. That's not really better dude, you were better off being ignorant lmao
Great job! Kudos! You are an artist! No doubt!
Just curious, would one assume that this is the normal procedure & method one would use in restoring artefacts. I'm especially intrigued in you use of chemicals, they appear to do their job well.
this is not the normal procedure. cleaning/"restoration" with these methods will be considered destructive. it will lose all value as a collectable.
@@danielunderwood5217 thanks 👍
Painting over the original woodwork, rather than simply treating it with oil, is a travesty. Blueing in oil, rather than rust blueing, and not lubricating the internals on assembly are equally irritating to watch.
Iv quite literally never seen someone spray paint an ak before now
Don’t know alot about restorations videos and if the are real or fake ...but this is the best filmed and edited one I’ve seen so far 🎥 👌🏻
Faked
Their mostly faked, but I think a lot of people just like watching things go from dirty to clean.
nice work.. love it❤️❤️👏👏👍👍🍻🍻
Where and how did you learn to do this? Would love to learn.
Where did you get this old Al from to do the Restoration work on it.
Looks like a Czech CZ SA-23 from the 1950s. Good restoration job 👍

2 gun restoration video bro
I have so many mixed emotions right now about this whole situation. Finished product looks great.
I’m surprised a spider 🕷 or two didn’t come crawling out that thing 😂😂
This channel should be called: I buried some 💩 in my backyard a few weeks ago & now I'm gonna dig it up & "fix it"
Sehr schöne Arbeit 👍🏻
This looks like an immensely fun and satisfying hobby
Yeah but its fake as hell
This is like getting one of those “Dig for dinosaur bones” kits they market to pre-schoolers. The do not recommend buttons exists for a reason.
Amazing to see the process of that firearm coming back to that quality!! You have to respect that type of knowledge and hands on hard work.

I liked your video, very well done and concise. but to be exact... that's not an AK-47, it's an AKS because of its folding stock and shorter barrel. used by the crew of tanks and other very narrow and closed armored vehicles to carry a very long werpon. 👍
Not AK related at all. CZ-26

It is a pity that he did not show how he brought this weapon to such a state... 😁
Faça as comparações !!
But in the video, he restored two weapons, not one

do a video on how you weather it and cover it in dirt...
I've trained on ranges for a number of years, cleaned countless different firearms from members who know its a duty of care service we provided(lazy bastards) discharged countless rounds down range but I have never shot an ak. If I ever work a longarm range again, i now know how to strip and clean it properly. Even if it is covered in garbage. Cheers mate. And I am well aware of the restrictions on semi/fully automatic firearms restrictions here in Australia. I know because I sign off on special dispensation and regulated special conditions example, collector licences allow 6 courses of fire on approved ranges.(tanks are my favourite) The theatrical ordinance licences allow anything blankfire for the moofies. There are more but there is always a way around things legally. Helps i have access to the info.
Burying grandpa's guns in the backyard again😂😂😂 still fun to watch

How is there no pitting on the thin sheet metal? I would know I am “the kinzler bros”. Just finished a river found m1 garand. You can’t restore one gun every other day. These take like 20-70 hours of actual logged time. With correct gunsmithing tools.
How did you blacken the sa26

@@Nittytash its clearly not genuine. How can so many items be recovered from mud, eventually there won't be anything else to find. This dude, like most other restore channels, stage the "restoration" for clicks
Nahh that gun looks like it got deep fried 😂😂😂
You pulled the front sight off with heat. I found that amazing. I tried to get the front sight/bayonet holder off of a SKS with heat. It was damn near impossible.
Great restoration...takes it from a cz26 to an Ak47.
Isn't that amazing 😂
Did u just skip to the end? He finishes the first gun midway then starts the ak..

Is the lans and grooves inside the barrel savable too or do you have get a new barrel to have any accuracy?

It’s another channel that does restorations in which it looks factory.
Most of their ways of rust restoration are bullshit. Just like primitive building channel.

I subbed just for all the effort this guy puts into editing his videos, lining up shots, and his dedication to the asmr of it all.
Wonderful work.
I have 1911 can you do restoration it
The WW2 Avalon Hill board games David R. Shelton never kept were Luftwaffe, France 1940, Blizkrieg, and Battle of the Bulge. He didn't even kerp 2 of the Avalon Hill First World War games. That's Jutland and Richthofen's War. Richthofen's War belonged to Dan Kern. 🇫🇷
Fake or not I don’t care… this was genuinely satisfying.
this is the longest wd40 commercial i have ever seen
Your editing and lighting reminds me of Evil Dead movies. Great vid!!!
Yeah, and the reckless treatment of a gun that can be loaded with live ammo, with the magazine inserted... Only Ash would do that!
Even though it’s obviously fake I enjoyed the video next time don’t make it so obvious that it’s just been dropped in mud 👌🏻
Then baked.
It's fake
Most of that looks like surface rust at best, no flaking or pitting on any of the exposed parts or inside.
Well I did as well.
Besides, if it was fake, he would've been less careful.
We all know this was just thrown in mud. But honestly this is the only way to post a gun build without KZhead demonetizing it
Holy shit, was that really a forged AK-47? Which year was this one made?
It's a type 1, so late 1940s
This is an interesting restore but the gun wasn't rusted that much; the screws and pins came undone fairly easily, thats how i could tell. Good upload and a great job though!
Wow no pitting at all. What was that AK made out of?
Neat video. But my burning question is do the guns still shoot?
What about the bore? Can it be fired?
Where do you get these from?!?!
Does it function after it has been restored?
How can that much mud be on that gun but have almost no deep rust forming on the softer parts?
Never saw so much new rust on such an old item, I bet this was in pretty good shape before you put it into a bucket of mud for a few weeks.
in this case, my question is instead of water, could another type of product be used, does it not necessarily have to be water?
He’s already soaked it in mud. Water isn’t going to make it any worse
bro made it too interesting, i didn’t fell asleep now im wide awake at 5 am
Someone tell me if this is a Type 1 AK47 please. Look at the front trunnion and rivet patterns. Also the fluted gas piston
I thought I was the only one who noticed
Complimenti lavoro da artista 👍👍💪💪💯🌈🌹
For something so "rusted", it sure does look spotless....
That was a bit disconcerting of him clearing mud from around the trigger not knowing if it's still chambering a round. The magazine appeared to be empty but there still can be a live round in the chamber. Treat it as loaded.
Is there a mowing that even so there shouldn't be of such good and that's very good if there's no ammunition
This man gotta have a whole arsenal in his basement and be ready for WW3 if they break into his house😭💀
Legit thought that was a gun shaped cookie.
Is there a site that you get them from I can’t see you’re just going on digging them all
