I miss the main characters interactive dialog we used to get with each crew, I think it was underrated how much depth it gave to the mode.
I hope we get a little of that back with Ravenov, Laswell, Soap and the new lady, (can't remember her name). I'd imagine they already have a lot of lines recorded for them, and hopefully lots of Zombies specific ones

It wasn't underrated, it was one of the reasons it had so much personality. Everyone loved it

The main reason is money Zombies is worthless to Activision if they can't profit off of it Free content for no profit isn't worth development money to them And that's just that Its why no zombies will ever be Bo3 they created a monster that will never be recreated Just know treyarch has been making the recent zombies experiences with not much time but those changes were by them

If they just made Der riese a little bigger and gave it that world at war dark and creepy feel then that would be amazing. The world at war dark ethereal and mysterious theme went so well with the idea of fighting off undead nazis

Sucks that Weaver ,Carver, Grey, and Strauss died but seeing Ravenov alive is great
as long as the human enemies can be targeted by zombies naturally, i doubt they'll be that big of a deal it better not be another bomb squad situation from carrier

Human enemies and zombies will probably fight occasionally just like Active Combat Zones work in DMZ currently and probably human enemies will in general work like DMZ enemies.

i actually kind of am looking forward to this. they mention that Ravenov has experience in Pripyat, which is the city abandoned near Chernobyl. i hope we get a map of that

He said Privet, not Pripyat. Ravenov never even went to Chernobyl, none of the zombie maps in Cold War even took place there...

For the people saying this looks decent at best, Remember this is not supposed to be the best zombies ever. This is just supposed to be a little something to play before we get the real stuff. Which is their new own game with actual round based, outbreak 2 prob and alot of stuff to grind for.
Exactly, this is like a little side offering of content. Round based will be back, this mode is just try something new/filler. And there's nothing wrong with that in all honesty. People are setting themselves up for disappointment looking for something that they aren't even being sold

Hasn't been good since BO3 and it isn't gonna get anywhere close keep choking on that copium cod will never be as good as it once was.

It would be insane if the dmz zombie map was composed of multiple classic zombie maps ,massive terrain changes such as a jungle (shangri-la),an airfield ( natch Der untoten) an asylum (verruckt) and skyscrapers (Die rise) all in one map!!!

Why do developers think we want to play in a open world map😂 we want some solo zombie maps again that are hard and scary to play.

Prediction Time! We already know that this won’t be round based and instead there’ll be a 1 hour limit per game. That being said with what was shown in the cinematic trailer, it’s likely that the 1 hour time constraint may work like most battle royals do. There’ll probably be an extraction zone that must be reached before the hours up. A safe extraction will insure that you get to keep whatever it is that we as the players are sent in after. The map will slowly shrink in what areas can be accessed as time goes on. My guess is we’ll be turned into zombies if we don’t reach an extraction point in time. The purple smoke/fog may act as a dead zone that closes in on the map as time goes on. Again, much like BR’s. So instead of a round based zombies game we can probably expect a PVE BR like game mode. This may work well if there’s some sort of “rogue like” replay ability to this mode. Such as getting better loot to take into each game session that may also be lost if our player fails to survive.
Youre the first person to explain what the gameplay might entail and i actually KIND OF like it but if they do shrink the map, that just seems like nonsense to me because it ISNT br, there isnt a gameplay reason to limit the map??? Edit: i am indeed a veteran zombies fan so i think round based is superior in every way still

@@FungusAmungos I was also disappointed to hear that this wasn’t going to be round based. I wouldn’t mind having something along side round based zombies to include multiple game modes. Players like us, who’ve played prior CoD zombies centered around having round base gameplay as the main mechanic, enjoy having that tower defense horde mode aspect. And unfortunately devs and the corporate owners aren’t trying to find ways to create what we would enjoy but rather ways to make more profits. They’ll have skins and loot boxes, even have their own purchasable in game currency, all just to drive up the numbers they care about. I can see why this sort of game mode may seem like it’ll generate more ways for them to make profits rather than having a traditional zombies mode.
Im legit worried about how much our squads will affect our gameplay, not only our forced 3 teammates but how much will we be forced to work with the other squads? Will it be impossible to complete everything solo? I really hope although doubt there will be a solo mode.
I would like it to be competitive in some way even tho you guys cant kill the other squads. Maybe some sort of race to the center or something idk

I love TF 141 spent a whole game trying to stop a nobody from launching 4 200 yards radius destructive missile but none of them bothered stopping the same guy who almost nuked a city from possessing reality disrupting compounds that were hidden in a random ass basement
