If it makes you feel better, in yoruba culture the second twin is considered the oldest (the belief is that the second twin tells the first to check out the world to see how it is before sending for them so there's that)

My dad is the youngest sibling of 5 and is a twin. 😂 Another funny thing, my cousin ( my dad’s twins daughter) was born a few hours before me! She always rubs it in! 🙄😂 (although I’m about 5 inches taller. Well call it a draw!)

5:12 I know you're doing a bit, but here's how identical/fraternal "twins" happens. Sometimes the egg cell divides, creating 1 or more copies of itself. Fraternal twins is when this happens before fertilization. And identical twins is when it happens after.

As a girl who has a twin brother socially it’s awesome, I met a lot of friends that are male that I probably wouldn’t have the courage to talk to without him.
Friendships across genders are unironically some of the most wholesome, especially when they can be your wing-person.

(Who we haven’t really lived with much) Me and my twin are fraternal twins (don’t look alike probably separate eggs, not test tube) she is pretty much the complete opposite of me but we are super close!

(We always thought that the other had our socks.😆 ) Even with our silly squabbles we are the best of friends. We actually did everything together up till college. While you're right that those people who ask of a twin brother & sister are identical almost certainly don't know what identical means, it is technically, if extremely rarely, possible to have identical twins with different sexes. in that case, they started as identical twin makes, and a genetic mutation early on caused one twin to lose their Y chromosome. This is still considered identical because identical twins are monozygotic twins, which these rares cases are. They have the same genetic makeup, outside of one losing their Y chromosome, giving them even more differentiated phenotype expression than normal for identical twins
