MOST DANGEROUS RACE IN THE WORLD (FINAL WDSC TURKEY) - Diego Poncelet, Greg Schwab, Yanis Markarian

During the final I just ended 4th, because Yanis passed at my right side just before the first corner, and I had to take the inside line, where are some big patches. I made a big scrubbe and can't catch the front pack anymore.
So I'm proud of this,
Pole position + final

Isle of Man is the most dangerous . 269 deaths since it has started . 3 minutes of downhill skateboard doesn’t compare
Have to agree with you 100%
Absolutely insane 💯
skateboarding really had the 2 commentators on edge, hahaha. tt race leaves everything so far behind
Because of sure stupidity. this is controlled chaos that actually takes skill
This is dangerous. It's not Isla of Man dangerous for sure.
camera work steady deterioration until it climaxed for massive fail at most important finale
Next time, you do it. Jerk.
Props to the _RADICAL_ skills of the drone pilot and blade-runner camera man!
Most dangerous race in the world? Isle of Man. But the title did get me to watch this sport of which I have never seen before. It looks a lot harder than the roller blade downhill racing. Those slides must hella fun but would cut your speed drastically. Downhill go-kart racing in Europe is also fun to watch. More power to high speed sports! Love it.
Managed to immaculately miss the only spill in the race. Flawless!
Something's not right about that scene cut at the end! Diego was a couple of metres in front of second place at 3:58, and from the panoramic shot we can see 3 corners and the finish line in the distance. But, cut to the finish line shot which is just 1 second from the last shot - and Diego is coming into the finishing straight and 2nd and 3rd are 100 metres behind! If 2nd had had a spill, then the black suited guy would have been in second! So they miss out on TWO crucial corners at the end of the race!!
@@unclefatbloke Probaba bly because no change of position in the last stretch, just Diego extending his lead.
@@jamesphang151 You ARE kidding aren't you?! No sport has or would cut the final three corners off of a race! Especially when it had been so close for so long! Something interesting happened to 2nd, and they cut it! REALLY amateur editting!
I think you should record it next time with your expert abilities and foolproof equipment.
@@joewoodchuck3824 I think you're right.
The fact that this sports hasn't blown up is such a shame. Such exciting racing.
❤️❤️
I think a big problem is that finding areas to train and learn are very limited
spot on @@erickrodriguez2813
@@erickrodriguez2813 Yeah all redbull head sponsored sport are extreme and not really competitieve around the world. You have 50 -100 in the whole world lucky enough to train that and have the streets and the space for it
@@erickrodriguez2813exactly..
That was heavy. I saw the tail drift in the turns - that would be death for us back in the day. Nice work to all. So heavy.
Love it. I think a bunch of us metal head stoner skaters invented this in the early 80s. All throughout the Bay Area. We’d come home with our jeans shredded, the rubber burnt off our shoes and road rash all over. I remember running over all my fingers while reaching down for my Powell Peralta. They were a mess! I’m 51 but still skating with my 3 daughters. 🤘🏻
I remember my first urethane wheels - think it was '79.
I`m 59 and we were doing this in the early 1970s
@@mjh5437 I'm 48 yup we did this too but maybe wasnt a sport with those aerodynamic grip tapes yet:P
😢
Ahem, try a bit earlier. I was 12, in '76, when I 1st Raced in Downhill, in Colorado. Yet, I am from (still) VT. I wasn't stoned [yet], but once I got that way, I was Streetluging by '78. "PSR"
Man, these dudes are as athletic as it gets. Very entertaining race, thanks for posting.
You're absolutely right. They're as athletic as dudes on boards can get.
Drone shots of this incredible, yet dangerous race is amazing
As a drone pilot I can tell you chasing downhill skaters is about as good as it gets. . .
Drone dropped the W at the end
보는 내내 손에 땀이, 결승선 통과와 동시에 내가 숨을 안 쉬고 있다는 사실을 알았다. 선수 모두에게 박수를 보냅니다. 대단한 경기였습니다.
As an old guy I admire the talent of skateboard folks. This is great.
Thanks for your help 🙂🙂
Gotta admit, they look ridiculous at the start. 01:17 They look very masculine & INTIMIDATING on the line up, then when they take off, 01:25 it's very anti-climactic & they look like effeminate trans-women flailing their arms.
This needs some balls. Great battle for first place💪🏻🤩
burning asphalt, and cpncrete too!amazing race!!bravo!
This is cool. I haven’t seen much skate board hill bombing races since I was a kid in the 80’s. 🤙🏻
Those drone shots were crazy. Bravo. Great race. 🎉
I think I could have flown the drone better....... And I've never flown a drone.😅
@@derekpierkowski7641 it was a freestyle drone. His piloting was awesome. Since you don't fly let me explain. Aerial photography drones have cameras that are plumb ( always level) no matter what the quad is doing. A freestyle drone has a fixed angle on the camera. You are flying and feeling like a bird. Chasing skaters going this fast is very challenging. You do not have brakes. The pilot's job is to keep the skaters in frame. It's not easy. Go out and try and get back to me.
Man, in late May 2013 I dropped and bombed I-15 off the mountain where Nellis Airforce Base is located. I was riding on 100 mm mountain board wheels/tires just like these guys. What a great summer, I long boarded from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. Well over 500 miles.
Great sport, great coverage!
Great video with that amazing last-minute pass for first place.
Great racing with a very scenic mountain course. High rise car parks also work well for racing and they even have elevators to the top floors.
urethane burners: travel, chase cars, ..
Haha, yes they do. We used to come down them on our inline skates. And the best part was taking the elevator to the top.😃
Great effort by all. 👍
That was so exciting to watch!
That was as exciting as a crochet lesson! Whoa!
last century, used to street skate and do massive hills with California skate brake and all the Rector gear I could find, slides, hills, 5720 raw uncracked eggs dressed as a 1980's character, wearing the skates for 20+ hours. The commitment is you can not jump off and save your rear, they are on, laced up and you must do the obstacles. I have torn off trucks at high speed and then not knowing I had done it, put my foot down to accelerate and the truck was sideways, wamadibingbangoh what fun! Never skated without safety gear due to my stuntwork
I totally agree the Isle of Man TT ! Wow It takes real ball& guts & more Skill !
We did this back in the 70's in tandem. Awesome speed.
mad props. ive bombed hills in Co. at 45mph and it is terrifying
Hilarious how you totally blew the shots of the only 2 serious passes 😂
Ya wonder if the drone was losing signal 😔
@@Eduardo_Espinoza As someone with a drone, signal loss is 100% what happened, it increased altitude, turned, and initiated return to home.
Crazy
@@Trainboy1EJR since this looks like a custom fpv drone this is very unlikely to have such a function. Looks to me more like production fumbled for the first one and then the pilot raised the throttle to get his video back at the end
Yeah drone losing signal in the bottom part unfortuenaly
These announcers wetting themselves over this 'dangerous' race and the dude on rollerblades casually rolling along behind them catching footage.
Crackin race! Absolutely hanging camera work and direction tho
que velocidad en la que van, genial, buena muchacos. Saludos desde Colombia
eu não sabia que existia essa modalidade em competição,muito TOPBAHIA BRAZIL. This needs some balls. Great battle for first place.
Can we have a moment to appreciate the drone operator(s)? Maximum control there - loved it
I can't imagine racing on a skateboard on a regular motorway, with all the usual irregularities in the pavement: potholes, cracks, and patches that aren't absolutely flush with the surrounding pavement. These four racers, and the man on the skates (camera operator?) all made it down without a wreck, but I was holding my breath.
At the end someone who recognize how WE send it! Thanks for your comment
Wow, super cool racing. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.
I've never heard of this. Man oh man they were flying down lol. Crazy cool
These racers are very good but also very crazy. I guess if there is a wreck you don't have to worry about being caught up in the wreckage of the vehicle.
This racer got true freedom
Impressed, not seen this before. Certainly very dangerous, but also certainly not the most dangerous race in the world. That would be the TT.
Absolutely
The stormtrooper outfits are a nice touch.
breathtaking!
An exciting race, with danger ever-present, some fantastic camera shots & an all-round thrilling watch. Yet there's still some people who don't give these people any credit for all of that & only make some sarcastic comment about a piece of the action being 'missed'. Ungrateful, self entitled wretches. This was brilliant & REALLY well filmed.
Crazy
Can't decide whether I'm more impressed by the riders or the dude flying the drone
Wild to see how the sport has evolved since the days of Southern California hills '77/'78 on Turner Summer Ski boards and later, my 34" Jeff Vogli custom using Kryptonite Green "Core" Wheels! Shorts and a bicycle helmet! :D
I'm watching with the same background knowledge - lets see how it pans out...
A little more than Signal Hill eh?
Encinal Canyon Malibu. Late '70's Here.
You should have seen how primitive we were in the early 60's. I wish I were young so I could try what they were doing. Putting a skateboard into a drift at the speed they were doing has to be a true thrill.
@@blumobean Yeah I have, there's a decent film here on KZhead from the 1960's - it's a cheesy film, but kind of gives an insight - clay wheels, kids skating bare footed, kind of cool. I have that same sense of envy when I look around the UK and see that virtually every town in the country has a mini skatepark of some sort and they're usually empty as so few kids actually do it and yet in the late 70's - early 80's there was 10's of thousands of us if not more and the b*******s wouldn't make us any parks!
Once upon a time I was a Marshall at Bathurst (Hills corner) for these guys....sweeping up the teeth and skin. They went round there 10km/h faster than the V8 supercars.
Edit... Hells corner.
Which years? I blew my elbow out there in 2008
can we just mention the guys who humped all those hay bales in place. true heroes.
당신의 열정에 박수를 보냅니다
I've been watching videos of people doing this on public roads. It's pretty amazing. It's hard to imagine going that fast on a skateboard. In those videos they pass cars and motorcycles like they are standing still. Just crazy. They definitely need a better drone operator to film these. They missed all of the passes and exciting parts. Lol. Every time the announcers started getting excited and going crazy the camera was not pointed at them. Lol.
你有病是不是阿講什麼東西
This was a nothing burger race compared to the one you spoke of, I saw that guy he was awesome passing cars and motorcycles and the road was rough with water crossing it also it was much longer than this short event...just sayin'
Try and pass an isle of man TT race bike at over 200mph. No Chance.
@@steviewonder6952 well, yes, obviously he isn't going 200 mph. I was talking about this video and the cars and bikes that he was passing. No where near 200 mph. I think the wheels would fall off if a skateboard was going that fast. Lol .
@@egroegartfart watch a TT race with Guy Martin or Michael Dunlop, your race is for kiddies compared to their racing in fact Michaels father, uncle and brother all perished doing the same racing.
I remember like 30 years ago 8 friends n me all on acid skating around town having a blast then bombing a hill,i was always the fastest skater in my crew but i still have scars from the crappy night....super bad road rash half of us and trippn hard on acid...i swear i skidded like 20 yrds on my bare back.
What was top speed, and how far was that...Roost
FABULOUS!
i think down hill skateboard is crazy but most dangerous? - have you heard of isle of mann TT?
woooow....this seem to be amazing but the same time terrifying and dangerous
So many cool, fun but dangerous sports there are.
That's pretty cool, first time seeing this. They should add some obstacles to the course; bunkers and creeks to navigate like a golf course. Get airborn.
Mano a mano without technological advantages. AWESOME
These courses could favor goofy or regular tho,MASSIVE difference.
You have to have nerves of steel to do this sport.
what a great thing , setting audio back and enjoy the race without the stupid comments
Try Isle of Man TT, road race. thanks for this however great.
Congratulation to the winner.very dangerous game
The race when an extra checkout opens in my local supermarkt is also pretty dangerous.
I've been riding longboards for 15years and can bomb some hills these guys have balllllsssss!!!!
It is great to see that the new generation of male brain and your way of thinking is alive and well and doing fine.
Big salute to camera man... . To all camera men.. even on olympics, choper, drones, mobile ect... . Hehehe thnaks for the view angle
I’m curious. What speeds are these guy traveling at? I’d imagine there’s no weekenders trying this.
"You're on the edge of your seat when you're on that starting line just waiting for the buzzer to go off.." as a former competitive paintball player I can confirm the intensity of that moment
"Paintball" ",🤣🤣 in the 70s as kids we did that but used actual air rifles and GAT guns..with no SWAT gear or fancy crap, you aint lived🤣
That’s so cute. When I was a little girl my older brothers and I would play “paintball” with Roman candles. To this day I would LOVE to find someone brave enough to do that with me. 😊
@@karif.3784 You cant do that today, too many snowflakes would call the "I want to be offended/scared on behalf of other people" ....Police🤣

AMAZING
A lot of sports could learn about sportsmanship from this!
My best friend, Enjoyed watching this video my friend Really awesome views Thank you Stay connected
This is a very thrilling race! Do they race at Pike's Peak, too?
Ever watch the TT isle of man, that is the most dangerous race in the world, but you guys got balls and skills
Don’t see these guys hitting 200mph like at Isle of Mann ! But an entertaining racing format !
Yep. That's what I was thinking.
Came here to say this. By no means a safe race but it's not 200mph or through a village at 180mph.
You guys should check vulcan or tutonia downhill race (here on youtube). It's not 200mph but its as ballsy, trust me
Love. Watching. Dat. Race. First. Time. Seeing. That
Right up there with the excitement of ant-rolling
Their names are Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls them Giorgios
eu não sabia que existia essa modalidade em competição,muito TOPBAHIA BRAZIL
Drone Footage like a cheat code... Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, Pan Away and Glitch to Final Stage. Race Complete.
This was much better in real life than some of the other channels that have CGI boarding claiming it's real.
Lol wut who u think does that ?
Id still say the tourist trophy is the most dangerous race but this was pretty cool
Magnifique !
Bravo, Great, Race Dudes
When numbers and all results to compare !! ??
Nothing like a real dangerous Race, TT
You're right this race is not dangerous at all, seems like you have a real knowledge about what is a real dangerous race, how can you be smart, I wish I knew as many things as you
Whenever I went skateboarding as a kid,hit a little pebble, instant break and i was off..
Remind me of the movie “Airborne” with Seth Green and Jack Black
I think the TT race is more deadly but this can still bring the pain.
Great video until like the crucial last 100m were cut out so we never see how a two person race for first suddenly became a two person race for second. Other than that, awesome!!
Yeah and they missed the race for 2nd place as so busy focusing on the winner. Why do camera people and directors always do that? So annoying. Happens in athletics all the time and it drives me mad as often the winner is way out in front and all the action is going on behind but we miss it in favour of shots of the crowd clapping the winner.
Nice game ❤
I really miss the 90s.
Well that was different for sure. Downhill skate boarding on road with asphalt patches for bumps. Hard on the legs I image ?
Damn, how fast are they going? I might do this in a row caged go cart. Maybe.
The title is a bit misleading but with that said I did enjoy... thanks for posting.
The drone camera man was pretty dang good
I had to turn the sound off.... the commentator with the hissy 'S's drove me nuts ! Awesome footage !!! :)
Would be cool if they were telling us how fast they're going
Thanks!
Thanks to you
First time I've seen this. What is the guy on skates doing following them? Is he a ref, safety, or something else?
Thrilling stuff and clearly has a high-risk tariff. Is it more dangerous than the Isle of Man TT though? (I appreciate that some might not regard this as a race).
It's totaly different, WE are using Gravity you know, and you can't really realise it on the video but the pavement IS destryed
@@alexandrostzouganakis.eurotrap I appreciate it's different. I was questioning whether it is the most dangerous race in the world, particularly given the frequent fatalaties at the Isle of Man TT. Personally, I wouldn't have the nerve to compete in either but, of the two, I find the TT event more terrifying.
@@harryselwind fully agreed with you Harry; nothing compares to the TT. Those that know, know 😉
Nothing as dangerous as the TT races, apart from suicidal sports like wing suits.
@@Tailspin80 do we have wing suit racing yet? Cos that could potentially overtake Isle of Mann, although really, only time would tell. It's a big ask for a sport to kill more people that IoM TT...
Crazy sport let down by shocking footage and camera work
