#14 - A man needs peace in his home 😂
Should be #1 tbh 😂
A man has no time for peace. He has too cook, clean and work to support his queen.
That should be number 1 😀
@@hizzlemobizzle LMAO, ah yes, we must exist to serve the queen. The sad thing is, simps are a pandemic, a REAL pandemic.

"It's always impressive when a guy can keep something alive, besides himself" - you made my day! :)))))
Same! Too funny!
I can keep the rats alive in my house.
@@alexcortez3007 That means you have a good stash of food supplies at your place, rats won't live in a place where is nothing to eat. You're a resourceful man, it's a good start :)
I never had a pet when I was single, but I am encouraging my two sons (16 and 19) to do so when they get out of school and move out on their own. Not only is it a great way to meet someone as noted in the video, having a pet also forces you to be responsible. Your dog (or cat) doesn't care that you stayed out all night and are hungover. They still want to be fed, petted and walked. Plus, it gives you a great excuse to leave any situation that makes you uncomfortable. "I have to go home and feed my pet" is an excuse that works anywhere, at any time.
That's true. Though I never had to use that as an excuse, when my diabetic cat was alive, I had to plan my routine around her; she required insulin shots 2x a day, and it was better if I could space them out 12 hours apart. Even if I wanted to attend a race on Saturday night, I had to get the pet sitter in, as Mitten still needed her shot. Having said that, there was a time when I was out on a motorcycle ride with a buddy of mine. When we stopped for gas and a drink in Port Jervis, NY, he asked me about making the ride an overnight. Unfortunately, I couldn't, because I hadn't left extra food out for my cat. As far as I knew when we started the day, the ride was only going to be for that day; I didn't leave extra food or water out, because I was sure I'd be back later to take care of that.
That's nice, until they need to move and can't take the animal with them...
@@makattak88 That would definitely be a factor to keep in mind, but what type of place would you be moving to that wouldn't take a pet?
@@bsh1967 not the place they choose for their home, the job. If they need to work many hours away from home, it’s not a good place for a pet.
If you plan to stay out all night, you need to let someone you trust come by and check on your pets at some point during the evening. Pets that are left alone often have seperation anxiety, and also may need to be walked and checked to be sure that they have food and water. You have to always plan ahead and be responsible if you are a pet owner. Owning a pet is not simply checking a box for your ego.
I have almost all of these, guess I'm doing ok! Ha I would add a great vacuum, shoe rack, diffusers for certain rooms and candles!
Yes!! 🙌🏼
I’ve all those things plus for those of us country boys we have also … 15. A pistol . A rifle . A shotgun and the proper corresponding ammunition to go with it. 16. A good first aid kit as well as a outdoors kit ( commonly called a survival kits ) This could be everything and anything you might need both indoors and outdoors. 17. Wood to burn 18 extra fuel 19 extra food 20. Extra pillows, blankets and bedding. Trust me it comes in handy. Lastly if you need it and don’t have it you’re already at a significant loss. Always be prepared. I’ve lived in areas where there’s hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes and flooding. A little preparedness goes a long way.

A beautiful painting of dogs shooting pool always impresses the ladies. Bonus points if you have your own personal Jagermeister machine on the night stand to wake up and make a winning day.
LOL. Yes, I'm sure that owning that painting is the difference between scoring and not scoring!
A painting of Elvis on black velvet is good, too.
Always love your even unbiased content please keep it going. A huge one that benefits you and someone visiting is a super clean guest bathroom with fluffy towels and nice smelling soap. A well-made bed with clean quality sheets and candles or something else that smells nice in appropriate areas. Clean kitchen with nice dishes and silverware, doesn't have to be expensive but have things that compliment and match. Absolutely spend the money on a good cast iron pan or 2 and learn how to take care of it and use it properly. Peace from Texas have a great day.
Thanks for posting this Fun and Creative Daily Video Courtney Ryan 😍😍😍😍😍
Courtney I love listening to everything you have to say. It's helped me alot. You are fantastic.
I failed right off the bat lol. I don't have that many books. Just my old books from college. I guess I can start with that 😂
You have a great channel, with insightful content. Thanks for everything.
Have a great Labor Day weekend 🇺🇲, Courtney! You rock ❤
You too! ❤️
@@CourtneyRyan Gracias, señorita! 🙏🏻
I’ve met so many females just because of my Pitbull mix Pup; he is all black with four white paws, a white tip on his nose and tail along with a white strip from his nose running down his neck, belly and groin. He is the best friend I’ll ever had. He follows me everywhere and has tons of energy. He not dog aggressive and loves other dog, people and life. My life is so much happier with my Pup. 😃
I got a whole damn garden and micro orchard. Peppers for days. Okra for weeks. And i'll have tons of fruit next summer. My house is nice and in good shape. I think it will play well with the ladies. Just have to get them over 🙃
As a pet, I had a small inexpensive but cute fish tank. I put gold fish in it. Worked like a charm.
Courtney, this is a terrific list, just wanted to add one more - FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS hanging on the wall or on a bookcase or a fireplace mantle. This shows that you value your loved ones enough that you want to include them as a part of your own home.
Nice list. I have all of these except a standing desk. As a man, I must be doing something right. One thing I would add to the list is having artwork displayed like paintings, photography, and statues; those can add a lot to a man's home.
I have a huge Saltwater aquarium with some exotic fishes, shrimps, and plants and let me tell you, it will make you stand out and people will love it. If anyone can have one,get one. It is very expensive and needs plenty of experience and care though.
Ooh, I have a great addition - A candle. 😅 You need something better than Febreze to keep your place smelling nice after you cook or when you have that special someone coming over! Plus, they look great. TJ Maxx has a million great options! Great list!
I have books, but no bookshelves. I gave a steamer. I have a standing desk, but also a computer chair that promotes good posture. I have a drop zone/caddy. And I have a lint roller.
Add to that some comfy and nice looking pillows and a clean blanket. That will make those Netflix and chill nights way better for your companions. Every lady I’ve ever had to my house gets cold, and a clean, snuggly blanket is always appreciated.
Hi Courtney! I just have a personal library, speakers, a set of tools, a few plants.
I have a pair of speakers on my computer desk. I definitely am thinking of getting a standing desk. The one you showed in this video looks cool! And I have a 9 month old puppy that I show off every now and then. He's got so much energy for a French Bulldog
Then you can put a treadmill under it haha
Standing desk is a game changer. I didn’t realize what I was missing out on lol and omg no way! 🥹 I want to see him!

I will consider a stand-up desk do like drawers for storage !! Bringing up non-stick pans is important !!!
I had a girl over yesterday. She liked my personal library. At one point she asked for some relaxing music. I found some on youtube on my laptop, which I then connected to my speakers. I also had some incense at the ready. Thanks again to Courtney.
i love ur makeup looks so much courtney😍🥰🥰
would add candles. and massage oil. also, a comfy throw blanket and pillows. I dont use mine, they're decoration when i'm on my own. But my company likes it. Offer opportunities for comfortable and pleasurable experiences. Things that smell good, feel good, set the mood, etc.
Dear Courtney, you are 1000% right about a pet and how they attract women. I learned this when I first brought my Great Dane puppy (Magna) home as she was very uber cute and sweet. Sometimes we even got attention when I preferred we did not and because of this, I would have to allow extra time for what I called "stop time", sometimes up to an hour extra!
Love this list. I especially love the standing desk at work and working on getting one at home. Nice kitchenware. I love cooking and women love it when men are good cooks.
🙌🏼 agreed court!
Of course they love it when men cook. They can add one more thing they won't do for us.
That is 100% true and it's interesting that I have two strainers for dishes, two drawers with fancy and basic flatware and many jars with utensils all around my kitchen that also has a bookshelf full of spices and books
@@hizzlemobizzle that is only the case If the girl doesn't like you and she is just using you because when a girl really likes a guy she will want to make him happy as it is natural for her to nurture, just like it is natural for us men to provide protect and to build/create/problem solve
Good cook but not cooking at home.🤣
As an old guy who has been into audio since the Pleistocene Era, I had to chuckle at speakers being on the list. Oh sure, it totally makes sense these days when most people hear music through earbuds or tiny (and awful) speakers on their devices. Speakers definitely improve sound tremendously and add to the ambiance of the environment. It's just that back in the day (and to this day if you read posts on sites like Houzz), speakers were always a source of friction between wives and husbands. Guys always wanted the coolest and best sounding (and usually rather large and imposing) and their significant others always wanted them to disappear.
You’re right about the plants making a HUGE difference! My workspace is a cozy Victorian-style interior, and I actually have 5 plants in it-which really elevates the look. 💯
But I have a cat. You know what cats can do to potted plants lol! Haning the plant high helps
Thanks Courtney!!! Good video 👍
A garage, welder, a lathe, a mill, lots of real tools, a car lift, a computer, a good tv, a good couch, a great bed, and somewhere to cook, and somewhere to eat, then the most important thing, peace and quiet!
I love cast iron so many of the non-stick pans have temperature restrictions or that coating can peel off or other issues a good cast iron skillet that's been seasoned well and dried after every wash can last several lifetimes
I have to say, if you work from home. Definitely pick up a standing desk. It is a huge game changer because before I would just sit at my computer for 10 to 12 hours a day (not all work mind you), and now I switch it up and stand for some time, lean against a stool, stand on a rocking board. It is nice. I even stand and game sometimes if it is a casual game. I got an Uplift standing desk, but there seem to be quite a few good companies to buy from, I just liked Uplifts for what I wanted.
I’ve got a dual sit/stand desk at work and just a standing desk at home.... I’m never going back ❤️❤️
Also a firearm and some ammo for said firearm.
Liked the video the minute you mention books/ bookshelves...👍
you’ve been helping me with taking better care of myself and how I should care how I present myself not only to impress the women but to feel good about myself as well, appreciate you and continue making these great and helpful vids!

Great list there Courtney ! Have all of these apart from the steamer and been thinking of getting one for quite some time. Need to increase my book collection as well. Great content.
Wow I have almost all of them, I don't have specific hangers or a lint roller. I like the idea of doing a home decor video, I've had people tell me I have a very bachelor pad style home, not sure what they meant but as I've lived alone for so long it's probably not surprising, I've chosen or made everything in it.
1. library / Bookshelf & Bookshelf is a need definitely will get one and have a library of books. 2.Speakers Will get one soon. 3. Standing Desk That sounds good I’ll have to get one. 4. Handyman set I’ll get one. 5. Cast Iron I’ll get one one. 6. A Steamer. I’ll get one. 7. Specific Hangers 8. Plants / Pet I have a cat. Real Plants no because I have 9. Coasters 10. A Drop Zone - For Wallet, and other things. 11. At Home Barista don’t need it cause I drink coffee. 12.Shoe Shining - will get some eventually.
I’m the type to want to have my own multi-story personal library😂 I love books, and having my own library to study and work in is just 😮💨👌🏼
A dream! 😍
Whoa!!! Save some P***y for the rest of Haha

The same here lol

Great comment about the shoes, Courtney. May I recommend shoe trees as well, and some good shoe cream for the leather.
An airfryer is a definite must, and a full length mirror to keep in touch with yourself.
@Courtney Ryan can you make a video comparing the different dating apps/websites? Like Hinge, eHarmony, Tinder, etc. and maybe discuss which sites fit best for different goals, etc.
The cat is one of my favorite. Definitely makes it more inviting
Nah it just makes it more smelly..
About the first tip: Buddies, c´mon. You have to buy GOOD books, and then READ THEM. They will turn you into a more interesting person. (My personal experience)
My drop zone is on my bookshelf in the kitchen that has a few hooks on the side where I put my keys and one of the pieces of pottery that I made in high school holds what goes in my pockets
Love it!
Nice content. Please make a video on home decor. Single men often struggle to furnish thier places and add some decor, primarily the decor, such as plants, curtains, rugs and so on. Men with wives or girlfriends have this one taken care of for the most part.
A cast iron large cooking pan? Maybe, like mom used to use but I prefer Paderno high end pots and pans and they look sharp. A biggie is a very clean/spotless bathroom (there is no ifs or buts about this), the ladies always check this out ! Oh and if you're really cool a 'bidet' for the worldly amongst you .
It's not enough to have books if they haven't been read. Imagine having a shelf full of "fancy" books, and then bring a lady home, she takes a look, sees a book and says "Oh, you have this one! It's my favorite! What did you think about [that passage] where [important thing] happened?" and you go "Uhm, err ... I haven't read it..." Of course, everyone needs tools - at least a hammer, a saw, a screwdriver (with replaceable heads), an adjustable spanner, and a measuring tape. Possibly a spirit level. An electric drill I find is better shared - in a friend group of five, it's enough that one keeps one, and then you can borrow as needed. Fair play - if you lads are all of the same age, you can all chip in for buying one. A cast iron skillet is on the shopping list - it's a bit ghoulish to wait for my mother to pass her skillet to me (it probably would go to my sister, anyway). For my part, I'll take the iron and small ironing board (it fits behind the sofa when not in use, and propped up on a table puts it at a good height), rather than going out and buying a steam in addition to what I have. Every hotel I've been in had an iron and board anyway, and if not in a hotel, I'm staying with family (who all have iron and board, anyway). Best place for keys, in my opinion, is hanging them on the door handle. Grab the handle going out, you automatically touch the keys as well. Of course plants. Good for the atmosphere in your flat, turn that CO2 into O2. Good stuff. Pets - well, that depends on what's allowed. For example, the building my flat's in just doesn't allow pets (well, if it were fish or something quiet like a tortoise, who'll ever know?) - and for my part, I wouldn't want a dog unless I had a big enough yard for him (or her) to run around in while I'm at work. And no cats, unless I had a mouse infestation in my garage or something. Something that'll make coffee that's not instant coffee is a must-have. My personal preference is a Moka pot, got a few to account for a variable amount of guests (one just for myself - and a 2-cup one and a 4-cup one), and a bean grinder. If I were at a woman's house and she had nothing, then either she doesn't drink coffee (fair enough) or she just has instant (run!).
I just read your first paragraph but yes, I totally agree. Collecting physical books to keep on a bookshelf collecting dust is kind of a waste of money. I think most people just leave the books there without touching them at all and keep them just for decoration, in which case I stand corrected. Besides, we live in the internet age where we have access to a wealth of information and knowledge at our fingertips to learn just about anything for FREE.
No luck with the ladies yet, but I hit the lottery with rescuing my Siberian Husky (Nike) in December 2020. She is just a bit shy or protective around other people, which makes meeting new people with her a bit hard. She is the most beautiful and chill best friend I could have ever asked for! I am wishing that someday we will just meet some nice girl that Nike will just instantly like. Then I know, that girl is a keeper. Also thanks for the tip about the cast-iron skillet. I had been thinking about upgrading my kitchen equipment. Now I have some direction. Thanks for all that you do, Courtney!
Cool, i'm only missing the standing desk, barista and a pet. Will buy the objects later but regarding the pet i have to sort more things before getting one.
First make sure the feelings are reciprocated. The girl has to get a pool table and projection system as a must have items first.

Hi Courtney, Love your videos. They are extremely helpful. I really like the #11 leather Drop Zone mat by Killspencer that you featured in this video. It would fit perfectly in my apartment. However, I didn’t see any reference to it in the links provided with this video. Also, I went to your store on Amazon and again I didn’t see this particular product for sale. I and am sure others would greatly appreciate it if you would put in an affiliate link to it in your Amazon store. Thank you
A small bathroom trash can with a lid. A lady friend once informed me very politely that no woman wants to see a guy’s old dental floss and used Q-tips. I went out and bought one that same day.
This is so true!
Excellent information, Courtney; I have two storage units full of enough things to fill two homes with desks, home theaters, and more. However, I live in a 12'X14' room, bugged by the narcissist, racketeer landlords. I must go outside in the snow to speak when I want to talk on the phone. Regards
Yes, you're right about the non stick cookware and the "forever chemicals" but it's also found in anything that's non stick and almost impossible to avoid
steel pans are a good inbetween, but nothing beats the versatility of stovetop-to-oven that comes with cast iron. Steel takes a bit of a learning period, since you need to get them ripping hot initially.
Ditch the beer can/bottle collection and replace with small wine rack with at least one white, one red, fill empty spaces with different colored empties for ‘flare.” Even if you’re not a wine drinker, maybe your guest will be.
Just when I thought my dream girl couldn’t be any better, she mentioned my favorite frying pan, good ole cast iron ! 😘😘💝💝
Another thing I would add if someone lives in a big city with a crowded downtown like Downtown Los Angeles is an air purifier. The smog here can get really bad and if you open your windows you're letting in bad air. If you're in the high level areas surrounding Los Angeles and you look at downtown LA, you would notice the air above the city is brown from the car exhaust and the traffic congestion.
Candles should be on the list. I love candles. Especially during the holidays. How romantic? That would be so cool if and when I have a woman come to my house!
Got all of these except for the standing desk, but I have a pretty well designed workstation and desk area instead.
Great tips Miss Ryan black is a good color for you.
I'd add a few things. First, a good bathroom set up. If all you have is dollar store soap and a six in one bottle on the edge of the bathtub, do better. Get a safety razor and a mug, some nice hand soap and some good stuff for your showers. Second, get a good cutlery set. Its one thing to have a cast iron pan, its another to have good clean and well cut food to put in it. I prefer german personally, but there are lots. Get a good one, and it will change how much you enjoy cooking.
All I need is some dumbbells, a yoga mat for my calesthenics, my dog 🐶, a TV and a bed
An extra set of sheets Curtains and accent pillows that match
"Needs" is a strong word here..

Door matts, umbrellas, security, spare torch or candles(electrical fault) coat hanger rack.Afriad I must stop because I could fill many lines of items here.As you have to think of more guests may arrive.
I only have 8-9 items on the list. It all depends on your lifestyle are you blue/white collar worker Rural, suburban, or city That and add in your hobbies and what you do in your spare time
This video is clearly a marketing ad for the desk. Don't let other people tell you what you need, especially when the person telling you something is getting incentivized to market a product. Think for yourself and decide for yourself what you want/need.
Nice work thank you! I have gaming equipment at home.
This sounds like a fun video.

Replaced the plants and pet with lamps/ a bar and memorabilia from my travels.. I travel a lot for work so the plants and pet would be dead by the time i got back and that's never a good look ;) Also when you said steamer, i thought "got it" but then realised you didn't mean for cooking with lol
I love my cast iron skillets too

Agreed! 😂 you too!

Fantastic video thanks
another essential she will love: A mirror with good/adjustable (day)light. Preferably full body mirror. And pillows on your couch, decorations ( I love my house to be homey), a good selection of tea.
11 out of 13 for me. Not bad. The thing I would add, cleaning supplies. A vacuum, duster, bathroom cleaners. Take pride in your space and keep it looking good. Chores suck, but I for one feel a lot better relaxing in a space that's tidy.
You started the list with a personal library so I knew this would be a good list. I have 7 full bookshelves and counting. Have a good weekend, Courtney.
Not having at least one bookshelf is nearly a red flag. Just don't fall into the trap of having books just for decoration like I did. Now, my flat today isn't big enough to have 7 full bookshelves, but if it were, then a bunch of books that I've never even read (nor intended to read) would just be a waste. Better to have one shelf of books that are frequently read than loads and loads of book that were just bought because they were leatherbound and had to go with a sofa (and paid for in leatherbound pounds, of course). For books that are read once and then just put on a shelf for show - might as well donate, sell, or give away those books. I did that when I was younger (in a slightly bigger flat in another country) - had walls covered with bookshelves, full of books I'd never read, or only read once. It took moving countries to really trim that down to the essentials. Well, almost - I still miss my "Good Soldier Svejk", but at least my dad is taking good care of it, I'll probably pick it up next time I'm back in the old country. So now I just have a shelf of the books I deemed "worthy" to bring with me when I migrated. And even so, it's more books than anyone else I know here (well, excepting my mother and sister - but they've been for 30 years, they've had enough time to collect and gather books). So now I'm very much in the line of thinking that "Yeah, loads of books are great to have - but the important thing is to read books, and public libraries are just as great for that."
@@GurvanCustom I've read most of my books. Still working on some. Some I use for reference and some are art books. They are handy to have at the ready.
@@rlp4028 Well, yes - not having read the dictionaries front to back is one thing :D I've got a thesaurus on the shelf, but I've never *read* it, I've just grabbed it whenever I needed a synonym. Same for a collection of sayings and "common expressions" - I've opened it up at random just for fun, but I've never sat down to read it all the way through. This is more about having the "fancy" books - say, an entire collection of Charles Dickens or Fyodor Dostoyevsky, or e.g. '1984' and 'A Brave New World' just sitting there on the shelf, still unread 20 years after purchase. And I was in that group for a while - thought that just having all these impressive books certainly would make a great impression on people. For my part, I'd be far more interested in a woman with the entire collection of Terry Pratchett's writings in paperback, all earmarked and split-keeled, than anyone with still-pristine Dostoyevsky, Nietzsche, and Plato - all unread. In short - a big bookshelf is impressive, but it's more impressive to be "big read".
@@thossi09 I totally agree. After I graduated, I didn't read much. I was buying books that looked interesting but not reading. I told myself that I need to get started on them. I read the Wheel of Time series and took off from there.
@@rlp4028 Nice! I started on 'Wheel of Time', fizzled out by book 7 or 8. Grats on making it to the end :-)
Not sure what she’s talking about but a steamer does NOT get wrinkles out of your clothing.
