Yes, I voted for Ukraine. But I hated the songs in French. I'm happy France or Switzerland did not win. Even though Italy was not my thing, rather them than France.

@@cembri6543 yeah but that's just the exception, generally speaking the jury voting makes sense. Like e.g. Switzerland's and France's songs were objectively speaking the hardest to sing/very artistic, but maybe not spectacular/dramatic enough to draw public attention.
So basically Ukraine gave 12 points to Italy, Italy gave 12 point to Lithuania and Lithuania gave it back to Ukraine. It all makes sense now ❤️🇺🇦🇮🇹🇱🇹

The little boy is very popular in Greece and is currently starring in a TV show about a family in 1969 whose story starts when they got their very own TV (it was very uncommon at the time to have a household tv). The premise is set only five years before Greece's entry in Eurovision. So he is a perfect fit for this position

I would like to note how much weak Malta has been promoted. Just before start of Eurovision, I watched the performance of Ukraine again on my phone and what came up as an advertisement? EV does not need juries. They did a crime with Finland and Ukraine. They say it's 50/50 but that is not true. How many people are in the juries and how many people vote from the public? So only a fraction of "experts" can defy the will of a huge number of televoters. So think again if you think it's 50/50.
It's a 50/50 the televote is the same thing where all countries gets 1-8, 10 and 12 and all those votes are put together to not waste time and make it more intense

The vote of the jury carries a much higher weight than the vote of the public and that is not an equal vote. Imagine around 200 votes (taking 3 people per jury. Take 10 if you want and make it 390 votes) carry the same weight as millions of votes. How can for e.g. 12 pts assigned by 39 juries be the same as 12 pts assigned by maybe thousands of people to one song? Is that fair? Imagine me voting and 10 of your friends voting. Even if I'm only one person my vote gives 12 pts to a country and the vote of 10 people also gives 12 pts. Why? Because I'm an "expert" or "professional". You see the problem?

Think of the lovely contests in Vienna or Lisbon with their heartfelt organisation and their warm-hearted atmosphere. Carola‘s appearance wanted it all: the dress, the make-up, the nails, the words (I was, I had ...), the appeal to be thankful, the blessing - that was just camp and far too much. Eurovision DOESN’T need a jury! Let the people decide!
The juries were really sleeping this year. But I’m not sure if 100% televoting is a great idea either. Everyone is only going to vote for their neighbors.

@@sandstrano9107 its EXSCATLY what happened when Eurovvision was televote only in the 2000's. The amount of polotical voting and neightbor voting was OFF THE CHARTS, it almost ruined eurovision.

Jury votes make no sense, the purpose of them was to be fair and stop the gifting of votes to nearby countries meanwhile 90% of the points were given to a nextdoor country by the jury. (Or in the case of italy and malta to a very unpopular song for strategic purposes) ridiculous
Spain didn't get any points from Portugal being in the same peninsula, and let alone the french.

Meh Italy usually doesn't have a even 12 points safe countries (like Greece and Cyprus). The most usual to have have 12 points or a lot of points from the jury is Albania and Malta (in this year Malta was one of favourites so didn't help Italy so much)
Finland, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Norway deserved better tho

When everyone started giving 12 points to France and Switzerland, I was already so upset that we lost Italy and one of those 2 countries will win. But that damn televoting blew my mind! I was in tears when they said "Italy is the winner!". And believe me I am not Italian, I just love Italy and Maneskin so religiously... Lots of love from Azerbaijan❤
i knew that would happen so i votted 20 times for italy. only the remarcs of jan were enough, how he pronounced "rock".
You know that Italy was 4th with 206 points from the professional juries?😂 they were only 61 points away from switzerland which isn't that much. So I honestly knew that they won't be that far away from the winning trophy.
i mean we always knew that the juries are heavily biased but Gjon‘s Tears deserved every point he got if not even more. Switzerland has been on the lower receiving ends for the past 2 decades with exception of Luca in 2019 so at the very least we can say the 12 points to Switzerland are not biased.

Very true, ukraine had a very catchy nice song france and the swiss had pretty decent songs too, the voting and so called public voting im afraid does not add up , I feel bad for the bands who put in so much time and energy into a contest that is so fixed , eurovision needs to be investigated full stop.

I'm sorry, but they way some of the juries vote is an absolute disgrace. Okay I can make my peace with Greece-Cyprus is a classic, but San Marino giving 12 to Poland in the semis, and Poland giving 12 to San Marino? Moldova getting two sets of 12 points from JURIES? That is something.
What? LOL. 12 points to Poland can't be explained in any other way but blatant corruption.
I paid attention to the same thing. There were some VERY weird decisions in the jury, especially in the eastern side of Europe... I felt like I could only trust the Nordic and Center European juries.

It'll always happen as long as juries exist - it's a classic by now so it doesn't even phase people beyond the annual jokes anymore hahah

Let's appreciate how the Italian jury didn't give votes out of strategy, it voted for countries like Malta France Ukraine Finland Iceland and even gave 12points to Lithuania, a country with a strong song everyone liked so much and could easily go for the first place if other juries weren't so stingy ❤️🎉

Well maybe because the judges are there specifically to stop neighbor voting? Why do you feel that Poland MUST give 12 points to Ukraine? Why not to France or Germany? The Jury is there to stop the exact behavior you are describing

The italian juries are really amongst the few that never vote politically,they gave 12 points to Lithuania. Also the italian televote was all for Ukraine- Italy deserves this victory both for the amazing Maneskin and for the way they approach to Eurovision, bringing talent, charisma, style, and always being honest and real! Mmmh..they gave no points to Switzerland, despite Gjon voice went above any audible thing on that stage, his song was beautiful and his exhibition simply perfect. I can understand someone from home cannot appreciate this, but I can't justify a jury of people that until yesterday were all about Italian song, singing technique,performance, vocal extension and so on. That's a shame.
@@andreamaccio8628 I personally didn't like Switzerland. Music is a matter of taste. I think it was boring, predictable and it's a typical "Sanremo": a ballad with a deep-ish meaning. We have thousand of them in Italy. Ukraine, Lithuania, Iceland were so different and fun. I'd prefer them over the Swiss one everyday.

В этом конкурсе не только жюри неправильно голосует но и зрительские голосования фальсифицируются . В этом конкурсе не имеет смысла учавствовать потому что победитель известен задолго до начала конкурса . Италиянскии исполнитель за то что жюри из Кроации дало ему 12 балов послал того на все четыре буквы .
