I used this video as an experiment for my cats and this is how the reacted: Oreo: Not interested, ran off as soon as possible. KitKat: Sat with me and watched the whole video. Midnight: watched about half, got bored and ran off.

My senior cat may not have had energy to chase the dot, but she was very intrigued in following it's movements (: Very nice! It's hard to find things she'll find interesting/stimulating enough to not turn her back on and go to sleep, but she watched the whole time!

This video works on sparrows too. Like, it entertains him, and it entertains us too. Our rehabbed sparrow LOVES this. He sits on the laptop and chases the magical red dot, but also tries to find the "other birdies" he hears in the background. Hilarity all around.
