"...and none of the flex, and I love that." - Doug DeMuro, Ford GT owner
Well, his ford gt is from 2005, it's not as flashy as modern supercars.
Tbf, the gt has no wing
I mean, at least his badge isn't flashy right xD?
yah 911 is a bit flex by default. lol
To be fair though...Porsche NEEDS to flex. In the past 50 years, their design has changed the least out of every successful and popular car, ESPECIALLY a high end performance car. For the price and what they can do, Porsches are actually TOO subtle. It's one thing to have a classic look everyone knows....its another to barely change it in your brand's history.
Doug is the type of guy to hate birds because they have “Wings”
Okay this one got me lmfao
Thissssss bird had the most gigantic wing I've ever seen (Because he says that every SINGLE time he reviews a car with a wing)
@@straightbusta2609 soooo true lmaooo every single wing is "HUGEEE"
True 🤣🤣🤣
Sometime birds are annoying. They used to get out of the way when you where walking. Now they just walk out of your way, or just stay there. They forgot about our deal.
I took a drink every time Doug reminded us there was no wing, and now I’m deceased.

So you died like 2 minutes into the video :D
What is the afterlife like?
@@daniellee100 Nailed it. 👍🏽
Man really committed suicide respect
the "gentlemen's" or "sleeper" version of hot cars is always interesting. Subaru did that with the WRX for those who didn't want the big wing, etc... Would love to see Honda do the same with the Type R.
They do actually. There’s a Type R civic called “sport line” which is basically an Honda Civic type R without the huge rear spoiler but instead a more smaller and “civil” one
It does exists, it's the type R "sport line". Check out Harry's garage, he did a review of that model.
@@lorenzotegoni9706 It is important to note that this model is exclusive to Europe, though.
Nissan also did a limited variant of the R35 GT-R named Gentlemen's Edition.
Yep! This also reminds me of when, after watching some "Rich Rebuilds" video, I imagined someone getting a stealth Audi that would've been a RS7 disguised as a regular A7.
I have never seen that many Mercedes 300 SL's all at the same place, even on the internet...

*OMG WHY DID DOUG COMMENTED ON MY NEE VIDEO*
Must have been that event in Florida where Hoovie actually started crying after driving the SL.
Doug now : "It's my favorite version of the GT3" Doug 5 days later : "THIS IS MY NEW GT3"
True. I know he will get one for sure.
Probably
He is very rich but he said he isn't going to buy a new car for some years considering he recently bought a defender and his garage space is full
I wouldn't be suprised if he actually bought one
Nah I think he's over leveraged after the Ford GT, G-Wagon, Avant, and new Defender
"This car is going to be too expensive and marked up like crazy" *Value is still 6 out of 10*
*OMG WHY DID DOUG COMMENTED ON MY NEE VIDEO*
@@riskyy2657 shut up
Because it costs a shit ton of money, for that price 6 in value is too good for this car.
Value is almost always a 6. I’m not sure why
@@Ryan-mg7pd couse there is always room for better
"All the performance and none the flex" Yeah sure, because big wing is what makes the Porsche a flex.
The watch is a flex
TBH, the entire Porsche brand is a flex at this point.🤷🏽
@@yungboicontigo9278 German car brands have expensive options. Especially Porsche, want something cheap and generic then buy an American car
A base 911 isn't a flex where Doug lives. It's one of the richest areas in the world.
@@canyonaro Yeah well there are other places in the world apart from Cali
Doug's scorn for Porsche owners might be his most endearing quality. Kudos for correct use of, 'pedantic'.
*OMG WHY DID DOUG COMMENTED ON MY NEE VIDEO*
Demerit for the incorrect usage of a comma. Another demerit for the incorrect usage of quotation marks. Remove the comma before the word "'pedantic'". Replace the single quotation marks with double quotation marks. And now, I shall sarcastically assert, that nobody fancies a language police, myself included, for this unnecessary policing😂.
Not quite correct usage of the word pedantic, but nearly there

I love the honest comment about the GT4 at the end. It's a hugely underrated car simply because of the Cayman name being known as "the cheap one" and so people think it's overpriced when it really isn't all things considered.
To add even more to that, the Cayman GTS 4.0 is pretty close to the GT4, with the same engine, but just more daily drivable. It looks great and I think it's the best bang for the buck, at like $20k less
@@whothebeast666 Unfortunately, what he said about waitlists, dealer relationships, and dealer markup applies to the GTS 4.0 and GT4 as well. The chip shortage has hit Porsche hard because they use JIT supply chain management. They produced about 10% of the 911s they normally do this year.

HOLY!!! You did it Doug, you are reviewing a 300SL!! Can't wait!
My dad is going in between this and the turbo s at the moment. I have to say this car looks amazing, I like this one a bit more right now. It's understated and beautiful which I really appreciate. Between being naturally aspirated and having a manual option I really think this car could be more fun. Good video as always
Damn! That's my spec and my pick of the 911 line up, I hope the allocation for Australia includes more manuals, will be in the market in a few weeks. It will be my first supercar, so thank you for all your hard work Doug, it has helped a lot in my choice. If your ever in Tropical North Queensland Australia, come for a rip on some amazing roads.
Salivating for the Timeless SL review.
Doug, I think it would be really cool if you added an exhaust sound category to your reviews, because many people who are into cars like to know how good they sound and it’s easier for you to know in person than us from a video, plus it’s a big selling point of the car for a lot of people.
I really only have 2 complaints: 1) The exhaust placement 2) I can't afford one
Agreed but I would add the "nostrils" on the hood, not a fan of that on either of the GT3 versions.
For 2) I join you there. For 1), what would you reckon a good position would be? On the roof? Side pipes? 😄

It's the fine details doug! The gas cap will be a collectors piece in 10 years.
You can buy this same gas cap at the dealership and install it yourself for less than half price. Just a little info for ya, not that it matters as all that can afford this car don't give even the slightest fuck about $160.00 dollars.
Normally I scoff at the price of Porsche upgrades, but how could ANYONE pass on that gas cap!

Loved when Doug said “I’ll take you on a little touring”
Doug - I love the GT3 because it has no wing and is subtle and looks cooler! Also Doug - The change in styling is not important enough to grant it a higher styling score. Doug the type of guy who likes to contradict himself in the same review!!
you know Doug likes a car when he starts using words like exquisite
Well, that was one of your most exciting as well as honest video. Thanx for that 💐
Doug lost in LA tent city telling everyone “BE SURE TO CHECK OUT CARS AND BIDS!”
The GT3 touring is such a beautiful, tasteful sports car. It would be my choice also. Also, that colour with the gold wheels is to die for.
Im so happy that Cars&Bids is doing good :))
Of course this is (mostly) everyone's favourite 911! The 4L N/A F6, the comfortable suspension in the Touring but almost the same stats of the regular GT3... Perfection
I think I’d go for the Touring as well, but only because i don’t like the swan neck wing. The previous model however I’d definitely get with the wing, especially the GT3 RS 😮💨
At this point, I'm 100% confirmed that Doug has forgotten the password of his second channel
It has been 4 months since he has posted a vid on it
I think Doug was using the second channel to see if people would enjoy the type of content he was posting there. Now that he sees that people do like that stuff, he’s just posting it to the main channel to capitalize on the main channel’s larger audience.
@@jweebs1986 Yeah, he explained it a video or two ago.

He has finally uploaded a More Doug mini review on the main. This should silence anyone still asking for More Doug to come back!

Has doug addressed the lack of uploading on more ddm channel?
@@biboo6681 he has. Basically he created the more channel so different videos wouldnt mess with the algorithm on the main channel. But now he's confident posting those videos on sunday (or whichever day of the week) wouldnt damage his main channel, so what used to be more doug videos can just be posted on the main channel now with no fear of messing things up
@@silverschannel8578 Oh okay thanks for clarifying that !
I like that Doug mentioned it won't be easy to get one. I can imagine this being the case. I remember when the GT3 first came out. I was able to drive one at a dealership. Now not happening. LOL
Magnificent Porsche.. thanks bro for bringing it to my screen.
I would love to have this exact same car, althoughI would get more comfortable seats instead of the bucket seats. I like the looks and the extra power, but not those seats for long drives
Yep, likewise. Racing bucket seats look cool, but if you're using the car regularly, they would become really uncomfortable annoying to get in and out of.
The GT3 Touring in this spec is essentially a 911 R for the 992 generation and simply for that reason, it's perfect.
Doug's channel is literally the only channel where I don't skip the ad, just because I like seeing the recent auctions 😂 that's how you know a channel is good!

Great color combo as well!
Yeah. Though if we are being honest I don’t know a color combo from factory that would look bad on this car.
Thanks Porsche for keeping the manual gearbox... I really hope it continues until the very last one is ever fitted, then try to fit them in the future hybrid, hydrogen or electric models in the future. #SaveTheManuals
actually just submitted a build sheet, super stoked can't wait. build times are pretty long though, looking like over a year.
Nice honest review
This generation of 911 gt3 is the masterpiece of porsche of all time for me. It's pretty and elegant in a way that pleases me like no other car had.
I'm not a big fan of big wings myself, but since the gt3 and gt2 versions are supposed to be track monsters, I feel like the wing is kind of important on those models. If I had the money, I'd get a Turbo S instead.
Amazingly layman analysis of the car. So many interesting things to note when compared to 991.2 cars and also the winged 992, none of which spoken.
this is the most important and life changing video on KZhead ... Incredible ...!!!
Thisss is the first short car review by Doug in 4 months since his short review on the Hyundai Santa Fe on More Doug DeMuro. We need to know by Doug himself in the next video titled, “Thisssss is why More Doug DeMuro is no more.”
Would be cool if the GT3 touring added back the insulation and rear seats. Would be the ultimate GT3 daily!
The Cayman kicks 911 ass YET AGAIN! [Can you tell that I own a 981 Cayman S?] I offered Doug a chance to review my car and he emailed me back, thanking me and said that if he was ever in south Florida where I lived he might call me. Great video!
TBF, that's bloody nice! I love subtle 'performance' cars.
This would also be the GT3 I’d buy, shame I can probably only afford one of the wheels.
I love these kinds of supercars, super track capable yet "easy to live with" Like the McLaren GT or any aston martin :)
Just with a 9k NA engine 👌😂
Funny, I definitely never see Astons at the track, and very rarely a McLaren (cuz they break better than they drive). Not the same at all.
@@hbullock True, but also the type of people that buy an Aston or a Mclaren might not be the type that would track their cars. I don't see many Ferraris either. Meanwhile Porsche has a big enthusiast racing scene so you regularly see them at the track.

Doug, why are you saying that this car has the same performance as the normal gt3? Take them both to a track and the normal gt3 will destroy the touring. The wing matters, a LOT
I bet you are fascinating to share a few beers with Shoobadoo. Safe to say any track day timing gear types will go for the RS and in the real world the touring will do almost the same job most of the time without looking like a 20 year old’s (unaffordable) wheels. Are you happy now?

On a proper racetrack (Nürburgring, Le Mans, Laguna Seca..) the Touring would be way behind the proper GT3. But of course, unless you're a pro pilot, you won't notice. Hence this "touring" version. It's made for tourers, not for purists. Simple fact.

Oh man, a 300SL!!! I'm so happy to see Doug reviewing classic cars again!
Doug is the kind of guy to use “pedantic” and expect us plebes to understand.
The 6-speed manual is now a part of Doug’s ethos
I know the classic car vids aren't the most popular but they are my favorite, excited for that 300SL
The leather pattern in the touring mimics the late 60’s early 70’s basket weave design in the longhood 911’s (ie: 911T, 911E, 911S)
Agree with your video entirely. I currently own a 991.2 GT3 6MT and it is by far the best engine/gearbox combination on the market, bar none. NOTHING from Ferrari/Lamborghini etc even comes close. The 4.0L flat-6 with solid valvetrain is absolutely spectacular to rev and the gearshift is notchy and precise like it should be. It is about time for other manufacturers to start offering 6MT versions and only Porsche has really capitalized on this within the market segment. The Ferrari Roma with its gearshift pattern motif is an absolute disgrace and complete sacrilege to everything Ferrari should be. What people seem to forget is that speed/acceleration is only one part of the car's experience and today a Tesla Plaid will outrun these cars in a straight line. What it won't do is deliver driving thrills like a GT3. The design is timeless and will age really well. The interior however is better in a 991.2 because of the analog gauges but that's a minor quibble. The piano black looks terrible as always. Manual transmissions need to make a resurgence in these cars. I hope Ferrari/LAmborghini etc. take notice.
