  • 1:27 This makes absolutley sense. Instead of charging the Phone directly with only one 9 V batterie, i put 24 of them togehter to get 220V, put in a power adapter to get 5 V out of a USB cable and wondering why it will not charge. As you see you need AC Power like many other electrical appliances. Batteries deliver DC power.

    • Actually shouldn't make a difference with devices like a phone charger. For some devices you can't just exchange it to DC but the rectifier in the wall adapter of a phone charger just becomes obsolete if you run it on DC directly but in functionality there's no difference. Especially as most of these chargers use full bridge rectifiers to convert the whole sine wave to DC anyway so there's no real change to the components after it.

  • The first one can be deadly. More than 50 mA running through your body is enough to kill you. A 9 V battery can easily deliver 50 mA current, when short-circuted, it will deliver up to 5 A before it dies. The reason why you are normally save is that 9 V is too little to create 50 mA current through a human body. If your hands are wet, the resistance from one hand to the other one is a bit above 1000 Ohm. Current is I = U / R, you need at least 50 V to get 50 mA current flowing through your body. Your battery pack is well over that limit. Touching both ends with wet hands can easily kill you.

You would need alternating current so that the various gates inside the charger circuit could operate. For that one video I would say the rest if fake.
