"Take care of my heart. It was always gonna be yours, one way or another."
Yeah I promise Tom: ......... walks away with a smile. Me: Wonder why he never said goodbye to Kate before entering the aftermath again?
Altho its predictable, I was crying at this scene!
Aaaaaaand I'm crying. Damn it.
Disney65Fan because he is always there with her 💕
No matter how many times I see this scene, I cANT STOP WHINING
They took “Last Christmas I gave you my heart” too seriously...
Yeah🤐
No they didn't its symbolic its beautiful George gave this movie his approval I just wish he had been around for his own cameo but I need to see Andrew before I lose my crap here
@@aprildannette3816 I don't think the OP was 100% serious bro LOL
I even cant predict the truth is so hurtful, omg another way to understand the lyrics :((
But she did`d gave her heart, she got it
Can they give her roles where her boyfriend is not dying.
Well I do prefer him to die than him killing her
Khal Drogo too
Maybe its cause Emilia Clarke is single in real life and she's telling the audience that you don't need a man to make you feel complete. Me Before You: Guy wanted to end his life Last Christmas: He was dead the whole time
Spike Island
omg I just realized it.. khal drogo, will traynor, now last christmas lmao
This a twist I did not except. I thought this was gonna be cheesy but this was so original in my opinion. Love this movie so much Emilia & Henry did amazing
It's like Return To Me meets Just Like Heaven.
SwiftieCat17 I was so over it in the beginning such a hot mess, I watched this while working a flight, I was balling during this scene.
So the guy was dead all the time???
Charity yes
It was an incredibly obvious twist from the trailer.
Some people are always way too critical of these types of films. Sometimes you just want to watch a movie and be entertained without over analyzing it to death.
Very true. People watch movies to criticize
Yaa true....why not enjoy it instead
OH GOSH YES. Couldnt agree more... I mean people cant enjoy literally anything these days, since you need to look smart all the time. Its quite annoying actually... Just enjoy it man
Yep.. Just enjoy the movie☺️
What's there to criticise in this movie?
I didn't know they were going to take the song literally for the plot of this movie
Why make a plot when you can dissect a song to make one! Oh wait
When I tell you !!! I wasn’t expecting this twist at all. That moment when he told her the previous owner died last Christmas and the words “last Christmas I gave you my heart” hit me like a freaking truck. I was so shocked and I was SOBBING, what a great movie
Same here! It seems so obvious now but when i realised it in the theatre i started bawling
Wham created the song last Christmas ( best Christmas song ever ) and George Michael died on Christmas Day so I am pretty sure if the song last Christmas was never created or if George Michael never died on Christmas Day this movie would of never been created
Someone ruined it for me in the trailer’s KZhead comments. I wish that wasn’t the case.
That movie broke my heart really freakin badly… It doesn’t have the right to do so😭💔
me tooooo
While this was very predictable the delivery was amazing. You can really sense her feeling of loneliness in this scene.
Yeah especially when Tom walks away and says nothing to her. 🤧😖😂
Not really
Maybe for you but it was actually a surprise for many of us fortunately
@@shymoomoo9554 I agree. I was shocked and sad at the end.
@@danialkhan3959 yep i cried. It was so obvious at the end with the song, his weird behaviour. I thought maybe he was hiding a secret about himself from her but never imagined it to be this... I mean everyone saw the signs but we didn’t know that this would be the end tho
I always start sobbing at "it was always gonna be yours one way or another"
Me too.. 😢
Not me. I wasn't crying. I accidentally got popcorn salt in my eyes!!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This scene is the saddest Christmas movie scene that I’ve bawled my eyes out on since Jack Frost (1998). Such a lovely made film. So much emotion captured...it’s truly heartwarming.
Oh yeah the Micheal Keaton film. Can't watch it without bawling like a baby.
Jack Frost was a heartwarming film
Klaus also made me cry like a baby.
Yeah, that Jack Frost film was definitely one of the saddest endings
vinn wynn words cant describe!
I knew during 2nd act that he was dead the whole time. He wore the same outfit No one saw him He was doing a weird dance to avoid the people passing through him
I thought the same thing, the same clothes were a dead giveaway, plus Kate was the only person ever shown interacting with Tom, which leads to... 🤔👀
Disney65Fan it’s the song the movies based on that gave it away (no pun intended!) I worked it out when the first trailer was released and tag line said its based on the George Micheal song. Still a good movie not gonna knock it, but them revealing it’s based on the opening lines of Last Christmas was a massive mistake on the makers of this movie. Plus loved the two unreleased songs that nobody had ever heard before of George’s that played in this movie. I still listen to his music even all these years later and it’s still fxxked up when it comes to the day he passed away, especially as this song had just entered the top ten again because of fix factor. That was one messed up Christmas Day for his fans waking up to that news. It’s weird because Last Christmas was playing on the radio when the host stopped the song midway through and broke the news of his passing. We lost so many legends that year RIP to all of them. XoX
@@harley7836 True he was such a brilliant artist I was shocked when GM died on Xmas day.
Disney65Fan same here I was balling my eyes out, my children couldn’t understand why they was a bit to young at the time. They understand why now though. We went to watch this movie together when she started singing last Christmas my two oldest remembered me crying that one Christmas while the song was playing and I explained it to them. Still makes me cry listening to that song at Christmas because if most people was listening to the radio at the time that morning in the UK (we don’t live there anymore we had to move to LA for my job!) we all got the news at the same time while listening to that song. 2016 has got to be the worst year for Legends passing away. It seemed like two or three passed away every month. David Bowie, Alan Rickman, sir Terry Wogan, Glenn Frey, Ronnie Corbett, Prince, Muhammad Ali, Anton Yelchin, Gene Wilder, Leonard Cohen to name but a few. 2016 was a s**t year and to end it with poor George who was about to make a comeback in 2017. XoX
Also after the ice skating scene, if you look, she takes both pairs of skates away with her, despite it being his idea
Man they made being haunted by a ghost romantic.
Did ya see Ghost and Just like Heaven they are ghost romance films. Oh and Casper
@@Disney65Fan but still man being haunted by a ghost is messed up
@@cyberbully7718 Well if that happened in real life we would be locked up in a mental ward.
@@Disney65Fan I don't know about you pal but where I live by this point you'd be getting shock therapy.
Lol, yes
Look into the medical nightmare that happened to Emilia Clarke and you might cry all over again. She literally hit the medical powerball of luck.
Yeah Emilia went through a time like this where she nearly died of a brain aneurysm twice.
@@Disney65Fan yes. Reading the story in The New Yorker was heart-breaking. That must have been terrifying.
This is one of the biggest twists from a movie that I remember. Absolutely broke my heart, and turns this from your standard cheesy Christmas movie into a hard hitting, heartbreaking and great movie.
He literally died on Christmas (so did George Michael), and gave her his heart, omg
Wasn’t this film just a complete masterpiece? This scene was so beautifully done - bravo everybody.
I love this film....
"Take care of my heart. It was always gonna be yours one way or another"............................ I cried.
A lot, and still..
Who would have guessed that this movie would have gotten its plot from the opening lines of a George Michael song?! "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day, you gave it away"? ♥️😂
It was a Wham! song. Sure, it was written by George, but technically, it was not released as a solo single.
Omg hi again
I always thought that particular lyric made no sense, until seeing this movie clip, and reading your comment..💘
Yeah, but in a whole different meaning
@@t.e.burgos3263 0 A
Henry & Emilia need to be in another 100 movies together. Best couple ever
Ok, I admittedly didn’t see the donor portion coming. But I was pretty sure from the trailer that the guy was some sort of illusion or apparition.
I didn't pay attention to the trailer or saw the people explaining it. So I caught me off guard and tripped me out so much omg
There's no saying "I love you" scene, but it just touched your heart so deep. I was bawling my eyes out during this scene too 😭
How is this song called?
As someone who never saw this twist coming, I loved this movie.
I didnt cry, i sobbed uncontrollably. I had a lot to let out and this scene did it for me.
Welcome to the club!!
Me too!!!!!!!!!
Me too 😭
I haven’t even seen the movie and here I am, bawling my eyes out... great
Luciana Auad ugh same
Me too 😢
Mood xd
Good watch even put my phone down
That scene, literally broke my heart, and i start to cry, a lot, for real, but the i understand why.
George Michaels death was way sadder then this movie
When one does not try to theorize, analyze, or deconstruct, allowing only for the experience, this is a beautiful little film. Well done, Emilia, Henry, and the entire cast. Well done, Emma. To heck with the critics. This film, and especially this scene, will forever be heart-tugging and inspirational for me. A seasonal "must watch" for the future.
Yes, I agree, it is a lovely film and I enjoyed it even when my eyes were burning. .... PEACE.
Kate: Why can I feel you? Tom: Because I'm a part of you. Take care of my heart. Kate: I promise. Tom: It was always gonna be yours one way or another. Me: " Starts Crying😭"
Over half the theater was doing the same thing. Me? I accidentally got popcorn salt in my eyes.
Literally true
Me too
I go when she starts talking with herself on the park bench
I don't know why everyone thinks he is ghost. I think she imagined him what makes it all even more sadder, especially her with-him-actually-alone scenes.
He’s not a ghost or her imagination, the heart shared between them allowed her to see him in her lowest moments, at least that’s what the story says.
Her walking with a look of sadness and despair 1:03 was brillant... the pain in the chest, the heartbroken… that’s totally it.. 1:23 Love Emilia Clarke
I cry my eyes out every time I see this scene
I've watched the movie twice and the second time, the moment I saw Henry in his first scene I started crying. And couldn't stop till the end. One of the best Christmas movies ever.
The saddest, most beautiful version of 'Praying for Time' you'll ever hear. The "someone Webster I think" reveal, that single, sad piano chord straight to the heart, coupled with the look of sudden realisation will get you every time. I can't not shed a tear. And finally, seeing Tom's name on 'their' bench, subtly hidden throughout until their 'sweet sorrow'. Heartbreakingly beautiful... "LOOK UP"... 😢💔🙏
this scene broke my heart i started bawling 😭😭
How is this song called?
as someone who had a heart transplant this was so real to me it got me so emotional
I left crying out of the theatre to the bathroom. I was so dramatic, i was like I’m DONE. I didn’t expect it 😭
im a 28yr old man and i cry like a baby in this scene EVERY SINGLE TIME.. this is such a beautiful film
I was not ready for this twist. This broke my heart while watching the movie. God I cried my eyes out 🥺
Movie Trailer: “Last Christmas, I gave you my heart” * Me and my friends in the theatre when we realized it was literal*: 👁👄👁
Words can't describe how beautiful this scene is....made even better with a truly amazing version of 'Praying for Time'.
I had no idea about this movie didn’t even see the trailer. I was just watching because I was bored...but to me this was beautiful because in a way he saved her twice!!
got bucket of tears from this scene. wasnt really ready for the twist...When you fell inlove to someone who literally gave your heart to you. Realizing that his remaining days here on earth is to reach you , made you feel the love you deserve and help you lift your spirit up.
Every single time i watch this clip i cry like a baby 😭
Funny that when she asked him where he was He told her to look up
this movie was suppose to cheer me up but i ended up being depressed 💔
Well this movie would of never been created if the song by wham called last Christmas was never created or if George Michael never died on Christmas Day 2016
My heart broke when I saw this scene. I love them together so much!
I remember wanting to watch sth at the cinema and watch it randomly, and end up came back home crying my eyes out.
I used to think that every love story had the same clishe But now i realise THIS MOVIE HAD A TWIST THAT MADE ME CRY😢😢😢
This was not a twist you can tell that he died because he was wearing the same thing everyday and the legend George Michael died on Christmas day
@@FlashReverseEditz to me it was a twist
Angels in the Snow is a tv Christmas movie. It had a crazy twist as well.
Why am I almost crying while watching this 😢
i was crying the whole time in this!!! ver cathartic scene, very underrated movie. it was magical.
This was a movie I watched sorf ot "just because", and it ended up being a beautiful and twist-shocking stories I've seen in a very long time. I've always liked Emilia Clarke, but she really captivated me with this one. Great film!
I got so confused at this part. I was thinking, "wait, that don't make sense cos that would mean she would be doing all those things by herself like a psycho-oh"
Saaamee
Yes, the people seeing her doing things and talking to herself likely thought she was Level Five Bananas.
The bus driver waiting for her while she was talking to nobody and the part where she kisses "him" in public must have been really awkward
You people are over analyzing it. It's a movie.
Bruh how are you confused it makes so much sense George Michael died on Christmas Day so this movie literally copied almost everything about last Christmas the song and George Michael sadly passing away on Christmas Day
Just an endearing scene of everlasting ❤️ literally brought into a soul✨️💖
I'm confused so was he a ghost or something please explain it to me
@user-wc5qv5re6x souls are everlasting whether it is spiritual or physically felt. It is nondescript: but just an Eternal union in either dimensions .✨️✨️💖💞....I sense that they are Twin Flames souls, and that and that is an expression of unconditional love between them and it will continue for Eternity. 💓❤️......
It was obvious when they released the trailer that the guy is a ghost. 1. "Last xmas, I gave you my heart" and the fact that it was said she needed a transplant; 2. He was only in contact with her during all the scenes of the trailer, no one else; 3. In all scenes of the trailer, her clothes changed but his remained the same. I haven't seen the movie yet but I do have one question: does Michelle Yeoh play his mother ? If yes, did she hire Kate to work at her store because she knew Kate got her son's heart ?
Nope Santa wasnt related to Tom at all. But I thought she was his mother.
Remarkably clever of you to have spotted that! I watched the trailer and didn’t have a clue he was a ghost. :) Loved the twist when I got to that point in the film.
Kate was working in the awful christmas store before she got sick. She went back to her old job after she recovered.
@@megandurrant4000 Thanks
Even knowing what I already knew, the reveal was still heartbreaking and shocking with her reaction along that with george michael song
I cry every time
I cry everytime I watch this scene 😭 Every time I hear this song it just sets me off
A bit sad that so many people say “oh I saw that coming” or “so predictable” or “watch so and so, it’s just like it”. The film should be watched and taken at face value, and enjoyed for what it is - a b****y good film, well acted by quality stars, and a good story. I think it’s wonderful.
ididnt..
so surprised
why I'm still crying from this after a year and a half
I know the reason I still cry is because I will forever love George. I did find comfort with the fact that he read the script for the movie & also did the music. I will forever miss George 💔😢
I showed my mum this movie last for the first time and she balled her eyes out. It was a great start to the new year.
My heart skipped a beat when this scene was on...I WASN'T READY
Yo I’ve never even seen this movie but it was on my recommended page. I’m crying.
Emilia was just so good for this role. Beautiful film. And I have met her in person. She's even more gorgeous up close.
Name the canción please
@@brisafuentespasten1161 George Michael: Praying for Time
This scene gave me the feels also what an emotional twist to one of my favourite movies ever
No scene in any film made me cry like this one. It hits me personally in some way and it just breaks me in small pieces everytime. I cry. A lot.
Lo que lloré con esta película no tiene nombre... Me encanta el guión, el final, lo inesperado, y sobre todo, la banda sonora. Una joya del cine.
And now I'm crying 😭
Just saw last night (2023) such a deeper story than most Hallmark movies. Loved it so much ❤️ 💖 ❤
I wanted to watch this movie last Christmas , but I never had the time, so I was like I believe that this one will Cheer me up during the quarantine, but I ended up crying my eyes out, and it put me in a depressed mood
I know, right???
Amazing acting... Emilia is so talented...
Last Christmas movie is greatest movie of the 21st century understand it is my favourite film I get really involved in it I love it to bits ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘❤️😘😘😘😘😘
In a way if he hadn’t gave her his heart she would had never met or fallen in love with him and + he helped her to find herself again
Bruhhhhhhhh I keep telling everyone the twist in the end is literally simple to understand George Michael died on Christmas Day so they copied his death in this movie
I love this movie, I will be watching it again in a few months when it's gonna be Christmas
Very very few movies touched my hearts and made me cry, and this is one of them🤍such a great art moved my heart.
I can’t believe they made a movie out of the old copypasta: Girl: I’m scared of getting this heart transplant. Boy: It’s ok babe, I’ll be here after your surgery. *Girl wakes after surgery and sees a nurse* Girl: Where is my boyfriend? He said he’d be here. Nurse: Who do you think gave you the heart?
Reminds me of Return To Me meets Just Like Heaven.
Finally someone else noticed.
@@Disney65Fan yeeeeesssss
Hahaha you're right!!! They did!!!
I started laughing at this part because I remembered this. Made me look like a psycho
The biggest movie plot twist of the last 20 years.
This scene makes me cry everytime 💔
It is long since this movie but everytime it moves me a lot
Still crying all these years later. What a movie!
Even though I predicted it halfway through the movie it still shocked me when it came about as there was a small part of me that wished it wasn’t true.
I loved the whole movie and I'm kinda glad I didn't watch the trailer first, as that would of given it away too quickly. Everyone who worked on this film and acted is the best.
I didn’t even know the movie was a thing until my friend asked me if I wanted to go to the theatre with them and watch a movie. They told me nothing about what we were watching until we got our tickets (hell I never saw any trailers for this movie either before watching it).
When I first watched the trailer I knew he was going to be giving her his heart. And he be some kind of "guardian angel" or some "spirit".
I am still shook after all these years. It moves me in so many ways. I know it didn’t get good reviews - but who cares?! The way it makes you feel is all that matters. The happiness, the hope, the joy. Thank you to all involved with this film.
Finished this movie half an hour ago, still shellshocked about this twist. I was NOT prepared.
That's Why This Film Was Called Last Christmas.
These two need to be in a movie where they can actually be together. Great chemistry
Love it . Deeply touching metaphysical , and metaphorically
THIS SCENE HURTS every time I see it. It really hurts 🤧
When I saw this scene, the background music ``prayer for time'' the heroine knew that Tom was dead, and I cried inexplicably for Kate 😭😭😭😭
my fav christmas movie ever!!
I've never cried at a movie before - until now
It is a beautiful Christmas movie, I fill up every time.

The way I bawled during this scene. Lol
I am so glad I didnt see this in the movies but at home because I cried so much
Just seen this movie in Netflix and I didn’t expect the twist at the ending. I thought it’s going to be another romcom movie but I cried at the end😥
I loved this movie . so beautiful. I have watched it many times over and over...I sat in the theater before Covid and stayed while the credits still rolled. Sadly are we going to have another Christmas movie at the theaters this Christmas? I miss going to the movies! L. Burke.
did NOT see this coming at all. it literally stabbed my heart i cried
I experienced the plot of the song "Last Christmas" a few years ago, kinda felt everything Kate has felt. I heard the song "Last Christmas" by accident on one Christmas Day and never forget it. Today I searched for the song again, and found this movie. After watching it, I felt my story was quite similar to this, what a coincidence! Believe LOVE! Believe in your heart!
