The fact that uThermal can go toe-to-toe with GM players at a 50% handicap, but then requires a 30% handicap to go on equal footing against the best pro really drives home how much better the pro players are than a typical GM player

I loughed so hard on this one. Uthermal says "I think he doesn't have that much units left" and hordes of zerlings and banelings flood like 5 more minutes. He was still maxed when the game was over.

A tank is differentiated from an APC by its main gun. The job of a tank is direct fire support. The armor is there so it would win against any non tank vehickles.

I think this is something that's often overlooked. That distraction - the commentary - doesn't seem like anything to us, but it saps resources exponentially - to the point that I would've liked to see this without live commentary. I think he'd still owe Serral some change, but maybe less.

Yea, never played Starcraft, but I can never play Chen or Meepo in Dota2 and in Age of Empires II I just a move my trash units to enemy base while microing a few gold ones and thats the most micro I can do.

I can also just micro at 1 location at a time or I devolve into either retreating everyone or a-moving everyone and not looking at it (I'd like to say to go macro but it's more like staring at the screen, wallowing in my shame and disappointment).

I'm honestly rather surprised you didn't win at 20%, but this really does highlight just how big the difference is between low GM that you can beat with a 50% handicap, you at high GM and the best in the world that you need a 30% handicap to beat.

I am just a like 10 years ago gold/plat player with obviously not idea about the game. That being said I ve seen a lot of streams. Still it is so extreme that uthermal is beating grandmasters with ease and with serral he just hits a solid brick wall... I do not even understand how this is even possible. Seeing Uthermal destroy ppl while being "out of shape" makes him look invincible... and then this... incredible Cudos to both of you.

Scans are just better than ravens in the lategame vs. zerg. If the ravens get close enough to do anything then they'll get abducted and killed, which is much more expensive than a scan (the resources gained from a mule would be less valuable than the cost of a raven, and in addition to that when we're talking about the lategame running out of mineral fields to gather from that can be defended is also a consideration). It's not like pro players somehow haven't thought of building ravens.. they've tried it before, and it didn't work out well. You're imagining that pro players somehow never tried building ravens, but in reality it's the other way around - they already tried doing that, and what you're seeing are the adaptations they made after they already tried and failed to use ravens.

Yea, never played Starcraft, but I can never play Chen or Meepo in Dota2 and in Age of Empires II I just a move my trash units to enemy base while microing a few gold ones and thats the most micro I can do.
@@baltulielkungsgunarsmiezis9714 For me the problem is my micro is decent, but when I micro I don't macro and the other way around. I can also just micro at 1 location at a time or I devolve into either retreating everyone or a-moving everyone and not looking at it (I'd like to say to go macro but it's more like staring at the screen, wallowing in my shame and disappointment).

I'm honestly rather surprised you didn't win at 20%, but this really does highlight just how big the difference is between low GM that you can beat with a 50% handicap, you at high GM and the best in the world that you need a 30% handicap to beat.

I am just a like 10 years ago gold/plat player with obviously not idea about the game. That being said I ve seen a lot of streams. Still it is so extreme that uthermal is beating grandmasters with ease and with serral he just hits a solid brick wall... I do not even understand how this is even possible. Seeing Uthermal destroy ppl while being "out of shape" makes him look invincible... and then this... incredible Cudos to both of you.

IRL tanks arent meant to tank too. They are direct fire support. They carry a gun infantry cant. They have armor so they would win if encountering an unarmored enemy vehickle.

A joke a few years ago was that Serral plays as if he has 2 heads and 4 arms. You can probably see why that joke landed because it's jaw-dropping just how fast and precise Serral's gameplay is.

Scans are just better than ravens in the lategame vs. zerg. If the ravens get close enough to do anything then they'll get abducted and killed, which is much more expensive than a scan (the resources gained from a mule would be less valuable than the cost of a raven, and in addition to that when we're talking about the lategame running out of mineral fields to gather from that can be defended is also a consideration). It's not like pro players somehow haven't thought of building ravens.. they've tried it before, and it didn't work out well. You're imagining that pro players somehow never tried building ravens, but in reality it's the other way around - they already tried doing that, and what you're seeing are the adaptations they made after they already tried and failed to use ravens.
