After all these years it's still an absolutely beautiful design. The Supra is one model that won't ever go out of style and this one is set up really nicely. Love the black paint with black wheels. There's nothing sharper IMHO...
Hopefully Toyota comes to their senses and reintroduces a new model for the Supra. I'd love too see a modern version of this car, like... SERIOUSLY!

well it was a drag car so smaller brakes were need so that a small wheel/big tire setup could run. its now being converted to a roll racing/1mile car with bigger brakes

Eric B A lot of high horsepower Supra's run the base model brakes so they can fit 15" wheels on the rear and run slicks/drag radials to actually attempt to hook up...

vittorio midjo My Honda isn't rice...first thing I bought was coilovers, better brake pads and braided brake lines, lighter flywheel and new clutch, billet aluminium engine mounts for track use, then came wheels and catback/exhaust manifold, strut bar up front and rear lower tie bar. Handling is perfect, it's like a go kart. Now that the groundwork is done, I am going to increase the engine performance. The only exterior mods are wind deflectors and I removed the rear windscreen wiper. No stickers, no bodykit, no massive spoilers...no rice yo.

pakan357 Weight saving :P nah for a couple of reasons. The wiper motor was broken when I bought the car and I didn't like the look of it. You can buy plugs for the hole, so I removed it and plugged it. Looks much cleaner. I also had the TÜV (MOT) coming up and if the rear wiper is on the car then it has to be functioning to pass the MOT, but there's no law to say you have to have a rear wiper. Easy, cheap solution was to remove it.

Nothing looks like the Supra. It's this weird mix of Retro, Bubble, Racing, but the underlying form is actually a Classic car. As I get older I appreciate it more, I think it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
The MK4 looks so modern for its age. It looks like it could easily fit in with cars all the way up to 2007.

Okay 7THxSIGN, I've been getting a lot of people questioning the brake set up on your beast. Have you had any issues running your current set up?
DownShiftRecords I've been ignoring them but I'll respond. These people making the statements about the brake setup obviously know absolutely nothing about the Supra. The brakes are downgraded to the factory none turbo Supra brakes. Many if not all high hp Supras run this setup. This is is done so that the car can accommodate smaller wheel/larger tire setups. This allows high hp Supras to run a 15" wheel in the rear with a 325/50/15 drag radial. The front brakes are also downgraded to accommodate "skinnies" up front. In this video I have my street wheel setup on the car. They're 19" wheels with a MT drag radial in the rear which has a 35 side wall, needless to say the car even on low boost will do a burn out at 55mph with these wheels and tires. In regards to the build, the motor was built by Titan Motorsports. It has their 3.4L stroker with race stage head. The car has made 1300rwhp on boost alone and 1400rwhp at 39psi and a 100shot. Keep in mind this is power to the wheels, not crank. I plan on getting it on the dyno soon and seeing what it can make at 42psi. In regards to the clutch, its a Tilton triple. There is no feathering this clutch. It's only on/off. Not a street friendly clutch. When you take a car that makes 300hp from the factory and bring it to these levels, you have to be willing to sacrifice some things.
7THxSIGN Just viewed this video for the first time, what a gorgeous car and incredible power output. Just awesome. I haven't really read all the comments yet and seen as i'm not particularly clued up on big hp cars, i was wondering why( as you mentioned in that last comment) many if not all high hp Supras tend to run factory brakes. I was thinking possibly that with such a high power output you would be more focused on deploying that sort of power mainly in a straight line and so you would really only require factory spec brakes purely for slowing down from high speed bursts. Where as a larger upgraded braking system with exotic disc/pad materials would be required for track use to be more resistant to brake fade under high speed repetitive braking. Well that was just my train of thought but i'd be interested to know the actual reason purely out of curiosty. Great video, Awesome car

supra has always been my dream car since I was 16 years old and looking at cars I really wanted, that was 13 years ago, im 29 now and its crazy to see how the value of these cars have risen... back then I found nice supras with single turbo for 20k around me and I cant find a single one within 500 miles for less than 50k.

They get shut down very frequently because of people revving the shit out of their cars or peeling out. The cops usually get called and they break up the gathering. The point of the gathering is for car guys to meet up and talk about their cars, not revv the shit out of them and do burnouts... that's what drag strips and tracks are for. If you like doing it on the street, go ahead and do it but don't involve other car guys who are there for a different purpose.

I agree with not being that guy at the car meet's but when taking off some cars need to do this to get going (I'm not talking about the anti lag)

It went back down to idle... if he was doing that to start it without stalling he wouldn't of went down to idle... and then waited to then start rolling. He did that to show off the sound (which is fucking beautiful) and then he proceeded to roll off and didn't have to nearly make as much sound as that first acceleration. So I'm not disagreeing with your sentiment, of fucking course some cars are just loud. You don't even need to have a 800HP+ car to have it loud. What he was doing in this video was clearly excessive, though. I've driven only a 700HP car but I don't know how driving a fast car is the only way to understand how high horsepower cars work. That's a silly argument lmao.
there's a big difference when it comes to engine size as well. Thats why daily driving say a 900hp EVO is completely impractical, you have to rev it on start and stops while trying to get going because the clutch will have to be extreme aggressive to hold the power. But I did re-watch the video and your right the guy was being a bit of a tool.
