what was the cost?
hi i'm also Canadian. can i ask how many %tint for front window and rear window? thanks
Did you get any side mirror glare from your dashboard? I just did 5% sides, no windshield and my side mirrors are useless.
Did you get the back windshield tinted?
Wow!! So informative and engaging. Loved it!!
Thanks - appreciate it a lot 😄
Love the way you explain .
Glad you enjoyed the video 😃
Great video and channel!! Definitely learned a lot and love the end finish on the Tesla windshield and side windows 👌🏽👌🏽
Thanks a lot for the support 😊
Great video and great tint! Looks awesome at night 👌
how much does it cost for the tint?
Information is very useful
Thanks you for tuning in 😊
That night visibility is terrible 🤦♂️ But your video is cool 👍🏽
Thanks a lot! But I think it might appear darker in the video, def doesn’t bother me
Great video! And it definitely looks darker in the video as I actually got the exact same tent done before watching this video with 50% on the windshield and 15% on the front side windows (leaving the back windows as-is) and it is super clear visibility at night and I were glasses and don’t see a well in general at night.
@@KeywasKorner Woah, that’s exactly identical to me haha! Agreed night visibility has not been an issue.
I did 70% windshield, 30% front window, 55% rear window and back glass. using expel XR plus.
Great picks 👌🏼
I end up doing 15% on sides and rear window and 70% on windshield. Model 3 Midnight Silver Metallic. 3m ceramic
Nice pick! I almost went with 70% in the front but with white seats I wanted it hidden even more. Good choice on the midnight silver btw 👌🏼
@@astateoftech thanks! Congrats to you as well! Good to hear your happy with your pick as well
I typically skip through the video to where I wanna see the tint of the car but your videos are entertaining . Great job!
Thanks so much for the kind words - that made my day 😀
😅😅😅😅 your videos always make me laugh!! So well shot!! Love your channel
Thanks a lot 🙌🏼😊
Any regrets on the 50% windshield tint? Debating between 35% and 50%. i also have white interior. Currently have 15% at front with 25% in the rear on top of factory tint
5% for me all around and 50 on the windshield
Maybe I misunderstood, but seems like you did 15% on the front pass. windows and 35% on the rear pass windows? In my state the front passanger windows have to be lighter or allow more light than the rear. Or was it the rear window at 35%?
Yes, I would definitely recommend checking your country/city limits since it does vary. I went with 35% on the rear door windows to match the 15% on the front side windows. Hope that helps! 👌🏼
Beautiful Tesla btw😎 I did 5% all around even the rear hatch which is darker then my passenger windows idk why (5% all around) The rear hatch I can’t see sh*t so I use my cameras to see the back😅 I’m in the brother line of getting my windshield tinted but can’t decide 😅 I might have to go to the shop see if they can put the film on the windshield see what % I would go for. Great video brother! I also have the same configuration White on white myp 💯
Wow 5% all around is super dark but I bet it looks stealthy. If you tint the windshield it will complete the look 👌🏼. Nice white on white is a mean combo once the windows are tinted haha
The front needs to be done!! It amazing how much you are blinded by everyone's LED lights. I did my honda in front and I can drive at night without yellow glasses!!
In my area windshield tint is illegal .. most cops won’t bother you though.. but if you get pull over for speeding and become an asss , the cop won t hesitate a second for your tint.. here pretty much sell a tint called xpel .. you don t see many 3m shop.. for my tesla i started with 70% side only. It is ok for night country road.. no. City lamp.. but during the day it is too bright.. so im gona change that to 50% side and add 70% windshield.. nothing on roof because it may crack the roof.. but they are going to charge me to remove the 70%.. anyway. Hard to decide
Ya tough to decide for sure but try going to the shop and have them lay the tints (before sticking them) on the windows to see what tint % suits you.
how come front windows are 15% but the rear ones 35% even when rear looks darker lol
Good question! The reasons the rear appears darker is the front side windows are closer to the windshield where more light comes in. Also, the rear windows come colored, so you don’t want to apply the same tint %. Lastly, white seats always make it appear lighter, you wouldn’t have to get it that dark for black seats. Hope that helps!
1:13 those sound effects tho
Hahaa I gotta keep y’all entertained!
I did 5% all windows and 30% windshield Very happy 😃
Ouff that seems dark but I’m sure it looks great haha 👌🏼
Great video except for the LOUD BASE music. IMHO it is the pits!
Thanks - hmmm can you give me time stamp of the loud music?
I got 5% all around. 35% front
Damn that’s dark! But I bet it looks menacing. 🔥
drop a pic, and paint it vanta black too
How long did you let it dry out cuz I did it and because of the windows moving up and down the tits gets f up
Leaving it out in the sun is recommended. I waiting at least a week before rolling down any windows since I was paranoid haha
@@astateoftech but you did the front windows as wel? How did you do it when getting in the car cuz the windows go down a bit. That's the only thing destroying my tint... At the moment there is no sun where I live it cold af.
Tits?
@@dukenukem6636he never answered your question. I have the same question. As soon as you open any door the window rolls down a bit. I guess you can use the emergency hatch lever but I have to verify that. But you can't enter the car without pulling the handle
FYI no reason to double tint the OEM tinted Tesla windows. All the new ones reject a ton of heat with the factory glass so save your money, especially on the Model Y/X. You can find videos where they use a meter to test it...overkill to do the rear sides or roof with tint. Now windshield and fronts are a different story..... And yes 15% for the fronts best matches the OEM shade.
Model Y Example here: kzhead.info/sun/frCYpcygcIagla8/bejne.htmlfeature=shared
Good call out! But I’ve heard the rear windows UV protection is not that strong as getting ceramic tints. But personal preference, if you want to start with the windshield and front side windows to save $, you could probably achieve a similar look.
23 TMYP 35% Windshield with a 5% strip on the Windshield coming down 2 inches under the mirror. 2 layers on the side and rear Windshield. 5% & 20%. Crazy dark 😎
Niceee! How are you finding the rear visibility with the rear tints?
I'm okay with it, I've had a few of my vehicles like that. Your eyes get use to it. You do get a little drowsy though 😆
5% percent all around 😅what i got
Nice, TIll you get pulled over by the police
All windows are UV protected from the factory
Tinting the windshield in Ontario (and almost all of Canada and the USA) is illegal. Tint that dark on the front windows is also illegal.
okay 🤷🏾♂️
No tint for the rear glass? Interesting
You could get it, since it’s not UV protected. I opted out because I already have issues with rear visibility and making it darker wouldn’t help haha.
@@astateoftech use the left short cut scroll wheel for cameras and actually leave the camera on most of the time and I get a digital review camera plus side blind spots as well and when I need nav I scroll wheel back.
No Blue Hue with them White Vegan Leather seats hmmm?
No regrets with the white seats 🙂
i think its illegal in alot of places to tint the front window
No towels!!!😮
Why are they doing it in a hard way
Forreal
% would most likely be dependent on the laws of where you live. In some areas the windshield must allow 75% of the light through, and in others tinting is forbidden. Drive safely.
Yes, definitely check your legal tinting % limits 👌🏼
That’s too dark. Could be dangerous at night.
Looks nice . I get 5% all the way around and 35% on my windshield on all my vehicles. I love the blacked out look. I have absolutely no issues with seeing at night. I guess I’m use to it lol
What brand did you get? I’m currently waiting in the lobby for 15% fronts and 5% back passengers and full back
@@iesince93 expel
You’re an idiot
Congratulations, you just made your tesla illegal in Ontario. Never tint your windshield. You don’t live in Arizona dude.
but it gets sunny here too.. and the "illegal" is the same as doing 110km on Hwy 401... cops would be embarrassed to ticket you when they have other bat-crimes to deal with :)
@@d-man509hardly the same as doing 10 over.
@@DaxM yes. It is. Come visit Ontario and see
People need to be thinking more about the safety of other's when modifying their vehicles. Big no-no on tinting windshields.
Shut yo dumbass up
Then who is going to take responsibility for blinding drivers at night?
If you pick a good percentage, it’s not an issue
Bro shut up with that crybaby ass attitude 😂
