So, I've been playing this map for about a week now, and I highly recommend getting sorcery going as soon as you can. The map is enormous, and the caravan system leaves much to be desired. You want lots of teleport circles scattered about the place. There is a sorcerer you can farm in the city through the first door on your right. You can buy a lot of the rare components from merchants in the city!

Instead of hunting for branches on the ground you can just mine a tree and you’ll get them and in more quantities
Good to see someone else cover this awesome map 🙂. I did a sort of how to start play when I started my channel, but became to ill to continue. It's pre some of the ages and loot has changed etc but the basics are still there, Could be of help. Just keep exploring but be a bit more cautious than in the Exiled Lands ps: Murun is your friend early game lol

Got quite lucky with Brimstone i went right instead of left at the start and found an island not far from where i set up camp where i can farm a couple hundred , i believe there are some rocknose's not far from your base that give brimstone tho Also found all tools need more than just the stone or iron etc to repair you now need all the ingredients

i know it's a bit too early to tell you the location of brimstone.. but the safest spot you could get brimstone early game in SW is at G-4.. if i remember correctly it's the middle island of the 3.. but to be safe visit the first one as well.. i'm pretty certain it's not on the 3rd island.. 😅

Just like in sepermaru, murun has a chance to spawn lissa and mangudai archers for potential thralls. It may seem cheesey to take them but having traveled way farther than I should have...you will be happier to have them than not. Map is brutal and traveling at night is so much riskier than on siptah...definitely didn't run into a red mother by accident. lol There is a companion mod called shima's compendium, although not required, goes along with the map. It adds weapons, buildsets, bosses, etc. Not needed but i think it may be required for the fishing minigame - could be wrong though. Edit: if you want to work for a thrall, i recommend going a little bit north west near just outside the undead city looking biome. There are several guaranteed spawns but they will definitely hurt.

Hey.... i started on this map last Friday, after i saw your first video. I love this map! Even found out that the north is way colder than Exile map.. hehe, well once you head up that way, you might meet a clan in abyssal armor, they are good! Not a spoiler i hope. 🙂 Edit: i would like if you could just add components to your crafting stations (like in Valheim) rather than having to build a 4x bigger station.

What upgrade did you make, your 'picture' is like crystal clear / HD now!! How do I get access to that new map?
So I upgraded to 1440p monitors an month or so ago. I also recently found some new settings in my video editing software to render at a higher bitrate for better quality 😎
Are there specific objectives available with Savage Lands that you'll be working towards or is this truly just a custom map with no new gameplay elements?

There are no end goal option like in EL of escaping the place, it's just built, survive and conquer the land.. but whatever bosses, recipes that are available on EL and Siptah most if not all will be available on SW.. I've been here for a year now and still discovering new stuffs on the map like a secret cave below a camp I've been there like a thousand times...😅

First make sure it is in the Selected list in your Mod list from main menu. You need to start a new game, the choose Custom and the choose Savage Wilds from the drop-down.

I found out that they have re-added the Homesteader journey step so you can get the high inventory space chests again
