Best part of the update is padding being put grouped at the top of the crafting table.
What I read between the lines "Hey guys, Funcom had to pay me to be positive about CE AoW Chapter 3, so let's get this over with" :D It's good that they didn't throw you to the wayside after being critical of the update, that they asked you to make this video shows that they still care, which is good, hopefully it will reflect in the patch.
It's possible that they have asked him to create this video even before the update came out and the agreement was made already... Anyway, I think it's good that they pay attention to Wak, because these updates are getting worse every time the put out something - if they can't get it right in 3 months, then slow down, but make sure that it works properly...
I disagree, if they wanted to show they cared, they would make things from the bazaar actually work before charging a lot of money for items that do not work.
Great info, Wak. We've been using your tactics to raid al-Merayah very successfully. My favorite thing in this update is the tavern/barkeeper addition. As you said, it really adds life to your base, and the ability to have thralls sit anywhere is an added bonus. Keep up the great work!

I agree. Just wish the alternative tavern styles wheren't a bazaar item, if there was a dlc bundle that had them all that wasn't for the scam-er crom coins but had an actual price tag I'd snatch it up.
I haven't found a perfect fix for the purge destroyers, but one thing that has helped my doors survive has been from using a siege cauldron on top of my door. this has slowed them down enough to where my npc's can take them out before they attack, i've only tried this on low lvl purges as i'm going solo, but so far it has helped a lot
The bar keep is a 3rd or 4th thrall. Mount + warrior (+warband) + barkeep.

I wish the gold spent in the Bar would go into a bank account, where you could access monies spent by other players, in your bar for thraws or food.
I thought the same thing, a successful bar would be bringing in income.

Does anyone know why when i use construction hammer it closes after a few seconds of use? in my server but it works just fine in singleplayer. do i have to make a new character or something or is it a bug?

I still wonder how the tavern seating mechanics work. How many thralls can one tavern attract? (My highest was 13, and I have 18 seats in the same room/floor as the tavern) Will we get more people like Iskar? When will they fix the camel-stable bug?
It would be nice to be able to engage with this content without needing player made mods to make it all functional.

Yesterday I got my first barkeeper, so I spent a few hours building my tavern, and I really like it... :) As for that lagmonster fortress in the middle of the map, I think it's useless and boring and I hope it will go away after this age...
there's a mod that removes it, use that :)

in the middle of the map? is that why I keep lagging I just started playing and built my base towards the middle of the map and only there i get massive lag spikes
@@Evermore098 it's in the southern part of the Savanna area (I think it's map grid G7 or H7), so if your base is nearby, it might be the reason... the game can't really handle massive bases with a lot of NPCs and building blocks to load, that's why most private servers have rules to limit base sizes... I've never tried official servers, but from what I heard, some of them are nearly unplayable due to this problem...
What about the toilet? Will they sit on that? Or is that considered a throne?
From what people have said the owner of the tavern has to be online for the tavern to populate.

I play on a few different PvE-C and PvE official servers and I have never been able to hire an NPC from another player's base. I can only hire the NPCs from my Tavern.
Got back to this game a couple of days ago and this morning I paused the game to go do something and when I came back the game was no longer paused and I was naked and all my inventory was gone. Standing in my house right where I paused it. About two kilometers away was a death symbol on the map. Went there and thank goodness all my stuff was there. Has anyone who is playing solo ever had this happen? Bug?
Hehe you placed the trebuchet and made your bar using the storm glass like that I did. Everything you stated is true as I have noticed the same things. Just do not like the respawn of the enemies as I would prefer they have a limited number like what would actually be garrisoned to cover the curtainwall section. So if they housed 100 I would be fine with that but unlimited enemies always annoys me. Like the Viva la dirtle skit for Red Dead Redemption where there are endless Drisoles coming out of the house and small barn. My friend told me he then went into that small barn there was no way that many guys were in that thing unless packed standing up. Talk about a tight fit. Constant respawns are just annoying but yes flight in using sorcerer or 2 catapults to take down the 1st and 2nd gates and then a rapid run into the 2nd area helps.
Am I the only one who can't use the bartender? The Green spots where I'm supposed to place someone do not appear, the bartender doesn't teach me how to craft the bar counter, I learned it from feats, I can't place any thrall in a chair or the bartender in his spot to start everything...Anyone having this issue? Anyone who knows what to do to fix it?

no ,not really ,unless you just want them to have more health . they get no bonuses other than ones from perks and do not fight . at all .
Does anyone know if they nerfed the insulation properties of Black Ice? Test it, make a 5x5 in the extremely cold region, and then get naked in your base.
My only issue is that they nerfed the thralls so bad i lost 4 thralls last nite to the arena champ and i got one shoted by her to and lost 3 due to purges so and all had t4 armor and weapons
They only did that with the Darfari Cannibals, and it was never really meant to be that way as they are meant to be low level thralls from noob river. It's always a safe bet to use the thrall that is named after a dev family member to be fair(Dalinsia)
use golems instead , and upgrade their parts before assembly. they are meant to be throw away follower, you can even mine them dead for blood crystal .
The tavern is the best from the update. I hate the siege castle,it ruined my favorite building spot in the game.😢
Oh, and I have yet to find a thrall worth hiring in both taverns. 🤷♂️

Or that the bar sits flush against a wall, or the art. For the amount of money they want, its so disappointing they couldn't get these simple things done.
How about fixing current and long time issues. Thralls disappearing, constant game crashes, stats getting screwed up. The other day I made a Male Nordhiemer built a base got 1 thrall made. Both myself and my thrall were killed by a skulled hyena. I respawned at my bed. But I was now a female dafari with 0 stats and 0 knowledge around level 20.

How are you able to use sorcery so close to that base? The public server automatically disables sorcery within 50 yards of the base
Wak said he plays solo, so I imagine it's on his own server where it's not controlled by Funcom.
Honestly I am so tired of them having different rules for solo and servers. It makes guides a pita to make for everyone. "on solo it works this way" "on server it works this way" "on official it doesn't work" I mean how many different places do I have to test to get all the info on 1 single mechanic.
Great point! This is why I quit playing official servers a LONG time ago. There are tons of great private servers available if more people quit playing official servers. Funcom might get the point or probably not. Lol

Or running a high level purge and after many waves, losing thralls and spending hundreds of arrows having the 'your coffer is no longer reachable' in spite of the fact there has been no actual damage to your base.

my main complaint about the bar system is it's only dancers/fighters/archers, and seems to only be T1-T3 hireable, I've seen some T4s visit but never be hireable
I have managed to pick up a named dancer, so its definitely doable. No crafters suck, but seeing as they still count more or less as items, that was to be expected. Hopefully thats something they'll get around to... One day
I've had a named Archer 👌 it's RNG by the looks of it, not sure if anything else impacts the chances such as the biome, or the Tier of the building pieces around it.
The tavern only allows You to hire exiles from noob river, ando the barkeeper contacts on officials pve severs is blank nothing on it
You have to rescue iscaar from the purge once to have him show up as a contact.

Before or after the barkeep? It matters that you do it after the barkeep I think. If that doesn't work you should report it as a bug.

Oh right. It’s totally possible and might be a bit before I make that video. So the stormsick event (blowback) has a boss that can spawn the avatar of bokrug, he drops schematic fragments. You need 5 for a recipe so it’s a tough grindy endeavor.

I kinda doubt that will happen, hope I am wrong but with IoS being a DLC it's not likely to have a focus.
They said in the developer stream that they want to put a raidable base on Siptah too, but a smaller one, as this one has proven difficult for them to do properly. And boy is this an understatement! The number of bugs and problems with this update.... boy oh boy.

I waiting for the Dems to fix bug latest bugs . It seems that vacation is more important than fixing the bugs they left for console player's. So we have to wait till January 14 to get a fix.

using trebuchet to break fortress is going to crash your game to desktop, it handles large amount of damage calculations poorly,do the infiltration strategy . if you have reason to go in . never seen a tier 4 in thrall in my 3 bars after playing daily whole holidays . so for now that is useless too . the rest of update are NERFs ,bugs and glitches . Wak , you gotta talk to them .

What he failed to mention is more than half the playerbase we’re banned due to their cash shop bugging out including myself, purges are completely broken with demolishers 1 shotting any build piece type making any purge higher than 3 extremely difficult if not impossible and the camel mount they promoted so much can’t even be raised and can only be spawned in with admin commands. Stop shilling this company Wak they don’t deserve any praise

Nah you're good. I can tell you are passionate about the game, so am I. I promise I do more then what you see on the channel to help the Conan Exiles community. But on the channel I will always do what I feel is right for content, some will be calling out what is wrong and some will be showing what is good, and if I can also get some extra $ for showing off what is good I'm going to take it.
