This goes back to pullers in the past doing it years ago.
It's pretty crazy how many don't strap their helmets. I've seen a few helmets get launched, and watch driver after driver not strap their helmets. I wasn't watching this close in this video, but it happens ALL the time.

Is front of truck have to cross line for full pull?
So pullers don't really want to run in pull offs anymore. The extra wear and tear on the engine and parts coupled with the time it takes to get those parts, its better to just save the runs for the next event. So the full pull like if they are running a pull off would be determined in advance or as a class goes on. Say the track marker is at 330 and everything over that gets into the pull off. But they only really want 4 vehicles in the pull off, so that figure could move a tad so there were only 4 in the pull off or they just say top 4 to the pull off.
Did anyone see thbump that unleashed did at around 30:40? When he was maybe witin 10ft the truck bounced up and down. Then when he was making his run it was about the same area when he started bouncing again and losing a lot 😢of forward momentum. Track prep between runs should have that handled but some will say thats pulling, but I think he should of asked for a rerun with a bump of that magnitude, just my humble opinion.

I had a '02 Monte Carlo SS and a '03 Impala with the 3800 Series 2, and yes, they are insanely reliable and will last longer than the car itself. I wish I still had them. I have a '07 silverado with the LM7. It has ~320,000 miles on it and the body and frame is gonna go before that engine does.

Does the sled weight change based on which class is running?
Yes weight, gearing of how fast or slow the box goes up. All operators have memory of what classes need what weight and setting.
I am a big gear head I love anything with wheels and a motor but I never understood this so is it who can pull the farthest or the fastest or both?
@@WWPTV ahhh..ok..is that why even though the weight/sled reaches full pull it still gets harder to pull, the gearing changes the further it goes?...i been wondering..i was like it reached the end , seems at that point they could pull it home..but now makes sense if all tightens up via gearing the further it goes..ty !!..i asked this Q on another pulling video..not you guys post..it always just seemed yup , maxed , but now why is it still getting harder?..lol ...yay for an answer!!..you rock!

what is that tank for up front. can't be NOS can it ?
Some are catch cans other fuel or water/ice tanks or the like. None are nos bottles.
The vertical tank is oil and oil filter and system. The horizontal tank is fuel.

That is weight to assist the front tires get traction. In the rear the chain runs at a downward angle from the truck hitch to the sled. That is what assist's the rear tires gain traction.

Depends on the class but about 42,000LB and that amount feels like double by the time it gets to about 250 feet. So this sport is about momentum.

Pulling. Classes of vehicles compete against each other for prize money. The sled the thing they pull weighs ~40,000LB and feels like double that by the 200 foot mark. This sport is about momentum and getting horsepower to the wheels.

Ok someone needs to say something about the editing of this video. This is just creative criticism. I know you don't realize that every time you do a hard break in the video,it causes peoples brain to "reset"and that's what causes people to change the channel or start doing something else because they are not being engaged or entertained. Also, people who have ADHD or are dyslexics or the bad ones like me that have both severely. It's impossible for me to watch TV and enjoy it because every 12 minute I have to start back getting into it because of the commercials. I'm just trying to say that if you would fade black or something softer you would get more and longer views. I literally jump every time you cut like that.
Yep. Understand all of your points and agree with all of them. This is not an edited video. It is a stream directly out of camera. The actual edited video came out about a week later Sep 27 Vs Oct 16 That tells you how long it takes to actually edit these videos and add names and distances, and results. We now have a stream producer that manages the jumps from drone to camera and it is more seem less.
