    • Chris has a refreshingly distinctive voice, even after all these years so pure and soulful. I saw him live for the first time on December 15, 2023. I’ve always loved « Wicked Games, » of course! I don’t know what took me so long to see him. Chris engages his audience in a humble, respectful, down to earth manner. He seems like a genuinely nice person and truly enjoys his audience! It doesn’t hurt, in my opinion, that he loves dogs and, especially, sweet Jack….

  • James Calvin Wilsey, his solo guitarplayer defined the sound of Chris Isaak. After he was gone Isaak never got that quality again. Rest in peace James

  • This is my favorite song from Brother Isaak. He channels Heartbreak Hotel and Blue Christmas through a Morrisey devil-may-care feigned sadness, even though you can tell he's having a frickin' great time doing it. If you've never watched the Showtime series, it's worth subscribing just to do it. Best triple endendre I've ever heard: "Show her your nut-sack, Chris!" My hero.
