I did this to my bathroom a couple days ago! It took hours! I threw out two grocery bags full of stuff that was old, expired or admitted I'll never use! And reorganized with a set of plastic baskets/trays I got at winners. Felt so good!
The best feeling ever! 🫶🏻 I need to get some of those plastic trays
If I may recommend - take picture of the decluterred pile of stuff you get rid of and keep it in your phone. Next time you want to buy something new take a look at it and it helps to rethink and limit your shopping a lot 👍🏻
32 weekend pregnant right now and in the same state of cleaning and decluttering my whole life before 2024 and before baby no 2 😅 after New Years we bring all the baby stuff out of the storage so having clear space to organize it is going to be great. As I take breaks and rest videos like this are great, they keep me in the right spirit 😊

Same! Just hit third trimester and the nesting instinct is coming on strong. Just finished deep cleaning my fridge. Last night I decluttered the "random electronics" bin; why did we have 11 extra USB-C cords and 7 CAT-5 cables!! Aaah!!! 😂

This may seem bonkers but I ALWAYS keep several good dvds for the times when our internet is out! (At least a couple times a year, the last time for 4 days) it pays to have a little something for emergency’s or at least on a usb drive. It’s welllll worth what little space they take up for sure!
That's not bonkers! I actually started searching out dvds of my absolute favorite movies or TV series bc streaming services remove things and then I would have to rent them. It's cheaper for me to buy it once for a couple dollars and keep my top favs

I would never get rid of hard copies of movies we love. You can't trust streaming, and even if you 'buy' a digital copy, it's really renting. They can revoke your access.

Great job, I think I will start my own decluttering journey today! For the clothes in your drawers, I place mine in from back to front, instead of side to side, and it makes them tip over and start unfolding, much less. ☺️

Great video! Have you thought about putting privacy film on the window in the bedroom? It's one of my favorite things for small spaces and awkward apartment windows

I put all my Wii games in a CD case to save space, as for the window in the bedroom you could use privacy contact paper, there are some that look like glass. 😀 loved your video

I kept my favorite dvds, sometimes the movies are not available to stream for free. I keep them in a zip case and recycled (local library) the cases.
I think you should remove the bookshelf from you room and put it in the living room/kitchen area. put decorations and things that are pleasing to the eye, like the games, and then the things that are eyesores, you can put it in the drawers instead. I hope that makes sense 😅😂❤

This editing makes my brain go burrr
for games and dvd, i advise cd organizers(there's a lot of different sizes and they are easily found in thrift stores or others), you get rid of the big case but not the actual game or movie amd is easier to store and carry around! ;)
Physical photos are the best! Just printed like 130! Never have the change of someone stealing or it corrupting. Plus the less tech the better.
I think the little things you threw out in the electronic drawers were moisture pads for the inside of your go pro case!
Cool video! Quick question: Do you access the camera/travel bags more often or the clothes in one of the other drawyers? cuz I was wondering if you would want the camera stuff/travel bags in a bottom drawer to make access to certain clothes easier (top drawer = less bending...) (but maybe you do access the camera stuff more often in which case, as you were -- don't mind me 😉😊)
I really enjoyed watching this. Iwas wondering if couldn't get rid of your little art cabinet as you have a free drawer beside the window?! It seem to fit everything in there.
Can't tell for sure but those little white tabs might be moisture strips. I put something like that inside my GoPro diving case, stops the lens from fogging up in temp changes :)

Great job! Doesn’t it feel great? I need to go thru my entire house and just toss toss toss! Maybe I’m old, but I hate getting rid of photos. You absolutely cannot trust “the cloud” or something of that nature to keep something at important. To many hackers and who knows what out there to feel they could keep them safe forever. I don’t buy it. It’s just a matter of time. 😂(yes I’m a part time realist/pessimist 😂😂😂) great job getting it all cleaned up guys! Looks great!
I would never! They make great cases for photos, like the Iris brand. I put all of my family’s old photos in a big clear plastic case that holds numerous 4x6 cases of photos.
I've been decluttering over the past few years and started leaning towards the more minimal but this is the one thing where I have digital but I think I want to get a curated selection printed. I'm not really a fan of displaying photos because for me they just end up blending into the background but the thing with me having all of these digital photos on my computer is that my family never get to see them. Especially my daughter who features in 99% of them. I think it would be nice to have a photo album where they can flick through them. I also have concerns about the cloud in case I forget where I've saved them with so many different cloud services or something happens to them. I think the cloud is good as an off site back up but I also want to enjoy looking at them. Scrolling through the Pictures folder on the PC isn't quite the same.

My daughter went from 3 bedroom house,yard and garage to small 1 bedroom apt.She had rented storage shed at first...She got big deductable and got big medical bills. Even with insurance.She literally got threw so much to get rid of storage...I was shocked!
