“Someone is trying to kill us. We are trying to kill them.” Pretty much sums up every war ever, from the ordinary soldier’s perspective.
So true… ex army here and politicians in their nice suits and mansions make the wars, us soldiers would prefer to have a few beers with the “foreigners”, learn from them and shoot shit, not bullets, but here we are… still fighting the old rich man’s wars…
One of the most believable movie lines that I ever heard.

I am South Korean and one of the scenes soldier asking 'what kind of American are you?' reminds me of my grandfather once telling me story he went through the Korean war in 1951. He told me back then when North or South Korean soldier captured a civilian at night, the soldier directed the flashlight to the eyes of the civilian so that (s)he could not identify whether the soldier was wearing which uniform (North or South) and then aggressively asked 'which side are you on?' The civilian had to make a choice and he could be executed right away if he was giving wrong answer. As Korea was one country before the division in late 1940s, Koreans all looked the same speaking the same language (it is still true now but North and South Korean became so different now), so such question was possible (and necessary in perspective of soldier), I guess. This is true tragedy of civil war, killing the same people one another who are supposed to be on the same side, my grandfather said. Hope Americans do not go through such tragedy.
Wow. Thanks for sharing that story. That's interesting history.
Yes, thank you for sharing. Sadly, shamefully, and terrifyingly whispers about this are on wind for sure. This movie will likely (and hopefully) be Hollywood garbage and not a rallying cry for so many disillusioned Americans. It would seem everyone is looking for something to grab onto in the storm and this is horribly timed.
Sometimes you don't have a choice. Most of us just want to be left alone. But some people are just so obsessed about controlling others...well alright then...let's go.
We have already been there and done that… more Americans died in the last civil war than all the wars we have fought… a lot of the bodies of those men still lie on the battlefield sunk in the dirt they lie where they fell and died…
The split was illegal and immoral, South Korea (just like South Vietnam) was and still is an artificially created political state created by mainly the US with tacit UN support. NK paid dearly for trying to reunite Korea after the destruction of WW2 but can’t have that and peace and “free market” when US calls anything not it’s economic ideology and control, communism and slaughters anyone who opposes their rule.

Not when you consider the fact that both have several major factors in common including a massive independent economy, valuing independence from eastern seaboard politicians, large populations combined enough to spar with others and business big enough to fund it (and FL included in there with TX ideals), and fundamentals that make them different but willing to splinter off their own way and all into their own territories. This war will be fought not on the frontier or on some distant battlefield, but amongst us -- among our homes. Our children will learn of it with their own eyes. And the innocent will die with the rest of us."
War is inevitable. The US fought England when it became tyrannical and won independance. The Southern States fought Washington when it became tyrannical and lost. Yes, this is going over peoples heads for sure.
First California is fked as is, Texas would never work with a failed state, not ever! It’s Texas an 25 other states and it’s people who value America vs the 24 other states and people trying to destroy America from the with in and rewrite history to their own vision.
California can't muster an effective fighting force unless in this movie the military units on the coast seize control of the state. Even so, you're moving 2,700 miles. All rail lines will be bombed and all bridges will probably also be bombed.
Precisely, people in both states have talked about it but for different reasons.
The problem is that many people won't see that perspective, because this is fiction and has no basis in the actual tensions happening right now. This movie is making our civil war out to be like the last one, a battle between states, one unionist, one separatist. But the reality is that it will more likely end up like the conflicts following the fall of Yugoslavia. No real government involvement, just radicals going house to house.

Predictive programming, yep.

There’s no way the United States of America would air strike its own citizens. Can you imagine if this actually happened? Our founding fathers would be disappointed and sad.
The mistake is the government thinking the military is on their side. We all took an oath….for the people!
The military is sworn to defend the Constitution and follow their chain of command. So unless there’s a Coup, they’re most likely gonna do what the government wants them to do.
This is the war I might have to fight in two years. I love you all.
I wonder how many Easter eggs will be found in the movie. I think back in 2010 or 11 there was a pandemic movie with Matt Damon which lined out lock downs and such. Alot of what happened you can find in that movie. If you study some movies you'll find all kinds of Easter eggs that will give information for tomorrow. It's quite fascinating.
Notice how you have NO replies?!?! People to too asleep to even pay this any mind. I hate it that humanity likes to play the “we’ll deal with it IF/WHEN it happens”! It’s hard for me to sympathize with the mASSES that suffer. Majority are just mouth-breathers!
that was a good movie. didnt watch it until a month into C19. My girl was freaking. I was like a Division agent out there. Thats a good trailer too, for the Division game
You realize there’s been a lot of contagious virus movies, some also around the same time as the Matt Damon movie 😂 r there Easter eggs in those too? Or maybe, just hear me out, maybe those movies just show what happens when a world wide virus spreads and what measures are enacted by nations? Why would the shadow government give you Pixar level Easter eggs and figure out there plan? Like to mess with you? Cuz they know how smart and special you are?
@@grumpymonkeyenterprises6413 Well, I remembered enough from the movie to get ahead of the lockdowns. However, being an introvert it was quite a sight watching people online not knowing what to do with themselves. Sometimes films and TV give people a glimpse of something that could be possible. Everything from technology to global events. I find it fascinating how accurate some have been.
It is called predictive programming, it has been going on for decades. The PTB have to show you their planned intentions upon the masses to follow certain universal laws and to avoid karmic debt. Through inaction and ignorance, you give them consent for you have been warned, albeit subconsciously through entertainment.
Anyone who thinks this cant happen is naive
If anything, this should be taken as a warning that a Civil war will be on our streets and in our homes and every measure should be taken to stop it from happening or a tyrannical government from forming
I went to college with a guy from Yugoslavia who never saw it coming.
@@ralphholiman7401you did not lol
@@olafjansowidz , no, I did. We were lifeguards together at Ole Miss 1982-1984. We would sit around for hours at the pool and he would tell us about life in Yugoslavia. Not once did he ever give any hint that there were problems that would result in a vicious civil war less than ten years later. If he thought it was coming, he sure hid it from us. He thought Tito was great.
@fuddster you must be a biden fan
Its a sobering thought that everyone in this chat either knows, or feels as if were hitting this point very soon.
Lmao nah, now go back to your Netflix, KZhead, McDonald’s, and Call of Duty.

I live in Texas... and, I am a U.S. military veteran - born a Texan. There is a LOT more going on "behind the scenes" than many are aware. We are closer than you think...
Say more, im interested on your thoughts on this
The movie is so good, that they're adopting it for the real-world.
"what kind of American are you"
The Eclipse is coming soon. April 8th. The AT&T outage was just a test. This isn’t a movie. It’s a documentary.
were will it stream or do i need to go outside to a movie theatre to watch it?
Didnt realize A24 did documentaries
April 2024....
Out of all the psyops this one is at least going to be entertaining
I see lots of Hawaiian shirts there!
cry harder
Everything aside this looks like a fun summer movie reminds me of when red dawn 2011 came out. Except I hope this is good!
Agree 100%! People need to relax
Spot on about the "Red Dawn" remake - really lousy.
Next time try to make a movie about peace and love. A story that is uplifting, and highlights the many great aspects of all humanity.
There are movies like that but most find it boring...
@@peezhead Take some time to think about what you posted here.
Little Orphan Annie, The Princess Diaries, Lilo and Stitch, they're out there.
@@modelcitizen72 Good point! But, if you search movies you find 100 thumbnails with someone holding a gun, for every Princess Diaries.
More realistic if Florida and Texas had an alliance
A24 sales pitch: we’ll sell you the whole seat but you will only need the edge….
I'm glad they didnt spoil the part where the split avengers choose a side
Классная была реклама недавно для этого фильма! Думаю он соберёт много денег. Возможно даже всё было подстроено . Как говорил один герой" я не верю в совпадение".
The best part of this entire trailer is that Ron Swanson is the president!
“I’ll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands” -Charlton Heston
This is what’s called “priming”
I cant wait for the real-world reenactment!
They wanted to convey the story but couldn't be too "on the nose" about the possible scenario.
Just like Event 201
I like how the president is from Parks and Rec!😂
Axe COP
From the trailer, seems like multiple sets of stated seceded at the same time, as there is a “Western Bloc” and “Florida Alliance”. Will be interesting to see how the different ideologies conflict throughout the film.
