Biggest and best trout fishing adventure for years in spectacular gorge country

This was the biggest, and the best trout fishing adventure that I have had for years. We caught big trout, lots of small trout and walked for miles. It took us all day, but WOW What an adventure that I will not forget any time soon.

  • It’s another long Robbie fishing adventure. Whenever I head out, we don’t have a lunch break, we have a break: tie up, bait fish and eat. Works well but can be a fun handful LOL!! My boat hunting still going hard. Thought one was good, required $2000 repairs, owner wasn’t interested in negotiating. People add sooo much sentimental value

    • Haha I totally couldn't bait fish while having a break. LOL For the same reason that I don't often bait fishing while I'm crayfishing. It takes away the relaxation factor too much. LOL

  • Another superb video Robbie, next level i reckon. I really like the longer ones. I thought that creek was very interesting because the riparian habitat was so varied. In places there was lots of cover and the bank side vegetation was dense. However in others, there was evidence of over grazing, erosion and almost zero cover. Also, the fish sizes were outstanding. I guess with all the recent rain, fish have come back in some of these waters.

    @johnvanriet3529@johnvanriet3529 Жыл бұрын

    @papeep2694@papeep2694 Жыл бұрын
    • Thank you so much for watching. I've used Mepps and Panther Martin, but have not heard of the others. I think they are American made spinners, is that correct? These ones I was using are made in France.

      @robbiefishing@robbiefishing Жыл бұрын
    • @@robbiefishing Daredevil is American made and to my knowledge they are one of the oldest companies making tackle in the world. The Daredevil design is more of a "spoon" than spinner. The generic brands are made all over the world. Countries with inexpensive labor. China most notably. Even without identification these generic brands are obviously inferior quality but they do catch fish. When you handle the generics you can feel the cheapness. Thinner blades. Rough edges. Inferior hooks. Both Mepps Anglia and Panther Martin are excellent products in my opinion. Thank you again for sharing your adventures.

      @papeep2694@papeep2694 Жыл бұрын
  • I think your little camera box is something like the modern version of the old jam jar 'tackle box'. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that maybe there was a couple of years of poor conditions in that creek. Either low flow or something happened and few survived it then spawned last year. That would go a fair way to explaining the gap in sizes.

    • Hey UF, I don't think many of the "over harvesters" would walk that distance just to keep a feed. Secondly, I think the threat of a hot summer is a greater concern than fishing pressure. 2 cool damp summers have created this. 1 harsh summer could quickly take it away.... Again!
