    • @Lord of The EdgeChimeras can't "turn into" conjoined twins. But sure, if chimeras with two sets of DNA are possible, then dizygotic conjoined twins should be theoretically possible as well. However, the mechanics would be completely different - usually, you get monozygotic (identical) twins when the zygote splits and forms two embryos. In the case of conjoined monozygotic twins, the split isn't complete. Dizygotic conjoined twins would require two different zygotes that merge with each other. Thing is, I bet you can find it all, somewhere in the world. Possibly in India and other countries, where cousins marry cousins for generations and you get all kinds of genetic fuck-ups because of it. We just don't know about them, and they often aren't viable - in those circumstances, it's quite probably that both the mother and the babes die because of complications during pregnancy or birth. This phenomenon (any of them) is also extremely rare and hard to observe and document just by chance. It's probably more common in animals where large litters are quite usual in contrast to humans. Still, it got nothing to do with hermaphrodites, which can be seen as one of several possible genetic disorders that affect the development of the sexual organs.

  • The Mayo Clinic Hospital performed a successful kidney transplant on my nephew last week. Our extended family went into over drive with prayers. From Friday when he got the call to Tuesday when he was brought home. Different languages, religious beliefs, continents and social status came together in prayer for a wonderful, generous, respectful young man to receive God's blessings. While still in the recovery room, my nephew asked the nurse to have his Mom & Dad thank everyone for their prayers. ♥️

I just wish there was a cure. Right now my 34 year old niece just got diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer out of the blue. My dad had cancer and thankfully they caught it in time and it did not spread. My cousin Tisha died of cancer at 15. Right now my next door neighbor is dying from colon cancer. The neighbor to the right of us has bladder cancer. The list goes on. Well, not too long ago, we found out our water has been contaminated since 1996, so that may be a huge reason a lot of our neighbors have cancer. including my niece who always drank the water. She lived in the same district for a while. There is a lawsuit over it, since last year. It is a big one with 3, maybe 4 law firms joining in.

    • Yes, bless those doctors, and all the medical staff who worked on this. It must have taken an army of medical professionals to even figure out how they were going to approach this and all the plan b's and c's in case the others didn't work right. Soemtimes they don't know exactly what obstacles they might face with organs and all. I find it fascinating and to me, there medical people - the researchers, the nurses, the doctors, the technicians - every one of them - they are heros.
