No mention of World Cup 1998 where Yugoslavia competed for the final time making it to the second round, and it would explain why they gave Yugoslavia's honours to Serbia over Croatia, because Croatia came third in that world cup.

That doesn't explain anything. I don't see your point at all.

@@sebball1 I may have misunderstood your video, but it sounded, to me at least, like you were trying to say Croatia should have got Yugoslavia's history over Serbia. The problem is both countries were playing at the same time so at the end it's just giving the honours to another team as opposed to a successor. Again, if I misunderstood your point I apologise.

@@DHW3008 I never said that. Listen more carefully, especially to the last minute and a half of the video where I discuss potential solutions. But thanks for acknowledging your mistake. Most people wouldn't do that.

You can examine other national teams too. In the USA at times Lations made the majority. In the brazilian team Afro-Brazilians are overrepresented. So are ppl of surinamese descent in the dutch team. Don't forget ethnicities that are underrepresented

Serbs and Montenegrins are the same nation... You must know that. And some important Bosnian players are Serbs such as Duško Bajević who scored a hat-trick against Zair in 1974. There were also a Serbs from Croatia such as Vladimir Beara and Petar Radaković.

What if a Team from Asia called Japan known as Samurai Blue win Japan's first FIFA World Cup with a purely Japanese Suad to say, all of them Asians with these Surnames: Rodriguez Martinez Suarez Lopez Fernandes Escobar Sucre Hernandez Duran Cortez Then these players have better voices than their counterparts that carries a last name that has a Yamagichi in it. Then Joliebee opens in Japan to say the squad that brogut Japan's first FIFA World Cup victory shows up at Japan's first Joliebee in Tokyo, Japan well these players are not born in Japan but are nationalized Japanese citizens having Spanish surnames. Then what country are the squad of Team Japan comes from that brought Japan's first FIFA World Cup victory and why the celebrate the victory at the first Joliebee franchise in Japan that opened in Tokyo?

Yes, Slovakia deserves to obtain 1976 golden medal with us, but Czechia fully deserves it, because it's not only about players themselves. There are also coaches and implementation team.....in 1976 Czechoslovak football team was led in particular by Czechs, so that means both Czechia and Slovakia have equal right to claim this medal

you have some mistakes. in yugoslavia, some bosnian players are serbian or croatian descent like katalinski or davor jozic.belanov and oleg blokhin are ukrainians of russian descent.

It’s very shallow to credit the wins for the players who scored the goals… a team win by the 11 players in the field not by the guy who scored the goal …

Probably not to see Filipinos being involved to help Japan to win Japan's first World Cup!

But they couldn't play for their own "independent" national team when Soviet Union, Yugoslavia or Czech don't want these small nationalities to be represented as themself but like part of them.
