What a beautiful Cockatoo. I’ve just discovered them after watching another video and I wanted to see a pet one.
i love your videos great job
Probably the prettiest type of cockatoo there is! Their crest is the just awesome!
I agree. It reminds me of a very colorful Mohawk hairstyle.
Personally I believe that he is as beautiful as he is due to the physical and Psychological care he's getting. All Cockatoo's (birds) beautiful but those who have inefficient nutrition, love and care tend to look twice their age and unwell. There are a lot of ill looking parrots on the net with clipped wings and toxic plastic crap toys. Here we have birds being respected for being birds and not being forced to be anything other than the beautiful natural wonders that they are 🌻
What a beautiful parot
His crest looks like a Venus flytrap (which is cool)
Galahs are prettier
i love this cockatoo sooo pretty
That crest when she holds it up is just stunning. 😍
His crown is so beautiful. Your birds are so healthy. Makes me happy.
Birds always seem to know a baby when they see one, even if it's like 10 times bigger than them.
major mitchell cockatoo favorite type of all cockatoo species
And she has a little budgie buddy! 🥰
I've been watching pet bird vids for a couple of months and this is the first Major Mitchell Cockatoo I've seen. Absolutely stunning bird quite amazing
So sweet that the magnificent MM has a lowly budgie friend 💕🦜💕🦜💕🦜
I am fascinated by the lovely colors of your cockatoo. The Major Mitchells are not seen as much as the Moluccans and Umbrellas. The beautiful and more unusual pattern of the crest, as well as the underside of the wings, are awesome to behold.
People have to to realise that THIS cockatoo is a genuine PINK cockatoos, not Galahs, Galahs are just galahs haha
Dad StopLikingMyComments: They’re all in the “Cacatua” genus, though!
Awww baby Pabu. Can't believe I haven't seen this one! So cute and clumsy!
theres more of him when younger haha have you seen the one with him in the grass getting scared of a butterfly? LOL
No....but that sounds like something I definitely need to see! 😁 Do you by chance remember the title?
no idea but I think its in the baby birds play list on the channel :)
I’m squealing the whole video!!! So cute!!!
I love that your birds are flighted!
Pabu is the most beautiful bird i have ever seen

Pablo is indescribably beautiful! Living proof that nature is the greatest artist.
SO CUTE!!!
The budgie is so tiny lol
So sweet and gentle.
oh my goodness! I'm hooked. They are sooooo sweet! They are very well adjusted bird babies!
The colouring on the underside of the wings is amazingly beautiful.
Major Mitchell is very handsome
Cockatiel and coockatoo are a best
beautiful, but dusty. i used to have one, 😢, when i said "show us your wings" he would repeat and proudly raise both wings and scream and carry on like a two bob watch. ver nice thanks, 😂😂😂
Your birds are so cute! I’m glad to see that they’re so happy and well cared for!

What a beautiful cockatoo!
Pfromri Yeeees
That is trust! Nice to look at! ^_^
They are native to the part of Australia I'm from. They always flock around home when there is a drought because of permanent water.
So pretty
They are so beautiful!
What a gorgeous creature 😍 Nature is really amazing
So cute!
Owner: Repeat after me - cuticle Budgie: budgie snack
So pretty...I've never seen that type of cockatoo before. Can they talk? I do however have a budgie. A blue one almost like yours, she's my second one. Doesn't talk though. I trained her to do some tricks. Step up on a skateboard, and go through hoops, also tosses a ball in a basket. I love birds and am fascinated by their behavior. Love your videos! 💗
512diane yeah he's a major mitchell cockatoo, native here. They can talk ☺ very smart!

Pabu is so pretty
Dawwww so sweet
your videos always amazing✌✌👍👍
The Picasso of birds
Its too beautiful
Goals😀😀🐦🐦
I've read that Major Mitchells can become aggressive after they reach adulthood. The male's have been known to kill their female mates both in the wild and in captivity. In Australia in the wild, their home ranges sometimes overlap with those of the rose-breasted cockatoo and there have been incidents of cross-breeding.
We have heard the same things however I have never heard of this happening with a companion parrot only aviary birds (usually breeding pairs) I personally find them to be extremely affectionate and sweet however our MM's are not confined to a breeding cage with no stimulation and a single breeding box, I would think that would make anyone go crazy. Allowing our parrots to have flight and daily enrichment outdoors has shown a significant difference in health and temperament compared to the pet indoor/aviary birds. I just see it as, they are extremely intelligent and if we don't allow them to use that to the best of their ability then the likelihood of self destructive behaviours is far higher.
Lovely! I've subbed
So many birbs
It looks like his crest is made out of candy corn.
When I read the channel name I wondered if it was an ATLA reference, and then I saw Pabu in the description
1:18 awsmmmmmmmmm
We have the exact same budgie Adventures Of Roku! Our budgies name is Junior
awww so cute!!
Goals😀😀😀🐦🐦🐦
Three years later, I see this. So cute. Having raised a Moluccan/Seram cockatoo from pinfeathers and mush, to hiking with me in the local woodland, I now hope to raise a baby MM cockatoo. Success and love were the order of my days with my Seram. She now lives with a lady who has lots of land and woodlands. Please tell us how you first got your baby MM.
I mean, a pair of budgies is all my budget yields. They are very nice and fun-loving birds. I have seen budgies...they can speak sentences in a solid row. But that is not my aim. I think, that this could be abnormal behaviour. I`m not so sure about that.
I want a major mitchell cockatoo so bad ;-;
OMG! That cockatoo is BEAUTIFUL!!! What kind is that? And my bird never lets me pet under his wings! I envy you. Your SO LUCKY!
major Mitchells cockatoo :)
You're not supposed to touch a bird under its wings anyway!
Pleasently EXOTIC as well as beautiful,to go along with it's pleasant demeanor!!!!,.....nice,simple VID,.....,......I'm one of the 400's,....(who are the "8" idiots.???)
100th like because this is very good
I love cockatoos and despite working with an exotic veterinarian, I did not know of these species until recently. Where did you find your gorgeous bird? Absolutely stunning! Does he/she have a temperament similar to the sulfur crested or umbrella? I would love to find one of you have any recommendations! Thanks! 😊👍🏼
Major Mitchell's generally have a bad reputation of being very aggressive and brutal however I and my friends who have them found it to be the opposite, very beautiful natured and cheeky. Different temperament to a sulphur in my opinion... perhaps a mixture of galah, sulphur and corella? haha
@adventuresofroku oh my word, I have a short billed Little Corella, and he is a handful by himself! I can’t imagine a bird that combines all the major cockatoo characteristics 😂
Lisa's Bird💕
You should do a video on budgies
This sweet little budgie is a female (mostly white cere with a bit of light blue) :)
💗😍💕💗✨
wow, very impressive! how did you train your bigger birds to not to murder the little budgie :O? my puny and small lovebirds keep trying to bite my budgies :(
Not clipping wings is key, and early socialisation. Parrots very very rarely bite to kill or maim, they will always fly away and only bite as a last resort. If you clip wings your asking for trouble as they have no other option but to bite. Other then that ensuring the environment/aviary is large enough for all to fly around in, big and small birds confined to a small aviary/cage is again asking for trouble. Lots of positive reinforcement and clicker training :)
Lol I have one he's 1 year old and speaking
Should I get major Mitchell or Camelot
Can you train a budgie parrot and a Cockatiel to fly outside like your upper medium sized to big birds?
if you go to www.adventuresofroku.com/Educational.php ive answered this question in detail :)
I have not seen no video how are u and the birdies doing?
You have budgies as free flying parrots!? (outside vids) Never have seen this in my life. Amazing! I remember budgies in my childhood. They flew through the flat, but in the nature? So, conclusion is: you can train all sorts of parrots for free flight, as long as the character of the individual bird fits to it!? Crazy!
I believe all parrots should be flighted however not all should be free flown regardless of character and skill development. It purely comes down to a species of parrot not being able to meet all its physical and mental needs indoors, they are the birds that should be free flown. If a species of parrot can meet all the physical and mental needs within the safety of indoors then what reason other then your own desire is there to put it at risk by free flying it outdoors? If it's not for the birds benefit then who's is it for? As I said though, id love for all pet parrots to be flighted indoors as its crucial for their mental and physical health I cannot wait for the day for majority of public to be educated enough to choose not to clip wings :)
Thx for your detailed answer. Keep on flying!
I too have a budgie just like this one can it be trained for freeflight?
I talk about that in detail here - www.adventuresofroku.com/Educational.php :)
when i dye my hair i looked same
Hi Brody, there was another poster and myself questioning our memory about whether Major Mitchell's had a single crest or a double just recently one a video, of course I can't remember which one now, I think it has been in the last week. Anyway that other person and myself were asking about whether MM cockatoos had one row or two crests, we both thought we had seen a MM with 2 but couldn't remember where. I found it!!! It's this video, around time stamp 0:57. Please, I beg of you ( a little dramatic wouldn't you say? 🤣) Can you address this to me? Many thanks if you have the time. XOXO Pugs and Hisses 😘
hey :) oooo i answered this! I cant remember which video i answered it on though, its double like that due to being juvenile :) hope that helps!!
Adventures of Roku oh thank you so much!!! I have been driving myself nuts over this!!! 😌 So how do they go from 2 rows, down to one row? I don't know why I am obsessing over this!! I feel like a dog with a bone!!! And thank you for answering my questions. I am sure you are so busy!! XOXO 😘
Just wondering.. why is your MMC beak darkly coloured?
he was a baby, if you look at recent uploads its now light.
Hello, I have to say I LOVE Pabu; do you still have him? I would love to have a MM in my life, please tell me what it's like to have a MM?
What is the name of the breed of that cockatoo
haha its in the title of the video and also in the video description :) This is Pabu my Major Mitchells cockatoo :) if you go back further you will see the videos of when he was a tiny baby :)
How much did your cockatoo cost
he's one of my bubs that I hand reared :)
ohh... wow... i thought they were much larger than that
he is just a baby not fully grown yet :)
U Said good boy to the Budgie when she's actually a female lol
@Wattle yes you can. I always did it and never got one wrong! Males have a darker cere
