Because the nice guy who is genuine and honest and puts themselves and the other person equally as well as open to talk about their differences without loosing there objective or personal feelings but mediate and sets healthy boundaries and relationship expectations from the get go will always come first. No one wants a waste of space who clings to their own personal feelings and desires and believes they are the only one who matters or no real aspirations are not winners so your argument makes no sense? They have varying territorial instincts. That's it. There is no psychic birds or dogs. People confuse these negative first impressions of strangers with territorial behavior. • Omg this reminds me of the book Alex and Me. The parrots bond with one person. The scientist realized to get them to learn they worked best if they were competing with each other. As soon as this guy showed the bird he could whistle, the bird saw that as valuable (it's a song bird after all), so it was invigorated by competition. Aaaaaah lol. So many birds species are the most monogamous creatures on earth, the devotion to one partner is incredible.

  • As a long time bird owner, I cannot commend him enough for his patience and understanding. For anyone not familiar with birds, it can be EXTREMELY hard to socialize them with new people, especially a "competitor" for the bonded humans' attention. Quite often it simply can't be done. This gentleman went above and beyond and it is really gratifying to see his success - kudos, sir !

  • The injury-feigning is used by some birds to lure predators away from their nests. Once the predator is a safe distance away, the bird suddenly "heals" and flies off. I think the bird was trying to lead the boyfriend far away from his mama in hopes that the boyfriend wouldn't be able to find his way back, LOL. Very cute and intelligent.
