Odds are, no.; Failure to recognize irony is just 1 example of certain kinds of deficits seen constantly. & it gives me even less than no joy to have observed way too many examples of our sadly - under-educated ?- citizen counterparts. But it must have to do with early environments, not just lack of formal education.. Emotional/ social development seems so arrested. Non- recognition of irony is 1 thing. Non- recognition of zero values consistency is another.
