you're too kind!
@@BeAmazed you're kind of harsh on the Crystal Skulls. There were a number of them around. Some are hoaxes but few question and baffled the scientific community. This few crystal skulls were put into extreme scientific test. The result only produced a lot of enigma. For one, this crystal skulls that were tested does stated that it was sculpted by some unknown method and estimated to be around in the Mayan period.
This channel has been around for years and the content is still just as good as new!
I once found an artifact that had gone missing in ancient times. I battled a giant spider.. well, a baby giant spider. Basically regular size, but you can just tell it would grow to be a giant. Escaped multiple traps, falling objects. And when I opened a mysterious trunk, there it was, my old branch saw. I really should clean my garage, haven't seen that thing in years.
The dinosaur mosaic shows the Greek word "krokadilopardelas," which literally means "spotted crocodile." Probably a reference to the Nile monitor, which is a largeish lizard with spots.
I like that better than the Greek 'speaker' before you with the crocoleopard translation
@@PaulKinley-xo7xo This was exactly what I was thinking - "Dude, that's a crocodile..." Excellent catch!
@@javierdaniel1429 thanks man that's polite of you .Yeah it was obvious .I wrangled in Ancient Greek with coin collecting back in the day it's interesting sometimes ..Hey Cheers from a Kiwi !
@@PaulKinley-xo7xo no problem - i'm a 41 man from NYC, born and raised; I can speak Spanish, English, Italian, and can read French. I am self-taught to semi-read Latin as well, so kudos to learning and having that ancient knowledge brother. Gotta keep it alive somehow, you know?
A pleasure to meet you , yes indeed knowledge is a key and I love History .Kudos to you too for knowing all those languages. I'm struggling to learn our second language Maori .
Vikings were not only raiders and traders, but also mercenaries. In Turkey, for example, they worked as mercenaries and guards. The ring was probably a payment to a mercenary who didn't care what it said.
Amber has had mystical beliefs around it for millennia. A seeming “stone”, though actually fossilized tree sap, it can be carved by hand and polished easily (I was a stone cutter for 30 years). It also has a unique and beautiful scent, which is released by heating or burning the amber. It was believed to offer protection or health benefits when carved into specific forms, or when the scent was inhaled.
Thank you!
For saying I'm beautiful!
@@AmberLeMaster-qu5ld everyone is beautiful in their own way!
Vikings raided Muslim-held Spain and the Mediterranean coast cities. During the bronze age, tin was mined in the British Isles and sold in the Middle East. There was a long time of contact between the Norse culture and the Arab culture. Vikings held Muslim slaves as well as others from different cultures. So, finding Arab trinkets is not a surprise.
Impossible .
@@Maxtyur Try reading Archaeology Magazine. Why do you think the Romans went to Britain? Tin. Vikings had contact with Romans. Actually, the Viking age was after the Romans left. So there was a lot of contact already. Norsemen had colonies around the Black Sea. Go find some copies and start reading.
the Scandinavian killers and rapers colonized a part of my peoples land for nearly 350 years and sold my people to the muslim ottomans to be sold to muslims. so i imagine they could of picked up trinkets in the ottoman bazars. im british.
@@nonconformist0189 My ancestors were both Anglo-Saxon and Norman
According to MyHeritage I am 33% Scots/ Irish, and 50% Scandinavian, I am Noa Norwegian living in Norway, and even if the is 7% Finnish genes, and probably some Sami as well, I consider myself 100% viking.
The viking coin in Maine most likely was traded or kept by an indigenous person...the tribes all thru there traded among themselves thru what is now newfoundland, new Brunswick and nova Scotia and Maine
as a Greek person I can read it : ΚΡΟΚΟΔΙΛΟΠΑΡΔΑΛΙΣ CROCOLEOPARD I can translate it to English : Crocodile it used to be a type of crocodile , this is a proof that animals can change over time! Greece used to have Lynx. ΚΑΜΗΛΟΠΑΡΔΑΛΗ ΛΕΟΠΑΡΔΑΛΗ
A couple of points I'd like to make, one is a fact and one is really more of a theory. The first point is that, it is possible that the Earth being a sphere may not have been common knowledge in Europe if education was sub-par, but the Earth has been known by humanity to be spherical since the BCs. An ancient mathmatician named Eratosthenes used geometry to calculate the size and shape of the Earth with a surprisingly high level of accuracy before the year 0. My second thought, my theory, is that the ancient viking coin found in Maine likely was left there by vikings. Because, why would a later European bring a viking coin to the Americas? While there were no viking artifacts found near the coin, were there any later European artifacts found around it either? Since we know that vikings were exploring areas within a few hundred miles of the location where the coin was found, it is fairly likely that vikings had explored that area, and possibly didn't stay for long. Perhaps they dropped the coin as they were passing through? Maybe there is a site not far from there where there are viking artifacts still waiting to be discovered
"the year 0" There was no year "0."

I remember many years ago my high school history teacher joked around and said the Nazca lines were made by space alien teenagers tagging our planet with graffiti.
And here i am thinking that only art teachers smoked the devils lettuce. That guy was seriously a "high" school teacher.

Not related to the video and anything, but once upon a time a bird fell out of it's nest and we rescued it. After some time, we placed the bird back on the nest. Truly the moment of the city.. even if nobody knows about it.
Good job
"The moment of the city?" I'm not familiar with that phrase. What does it mean? Also, good job on helping the little bird, but why did you wait "some time" to put it back? I bet its momma was worried!💙😀

The “ancient computer” makes me wonder if it assumes the world is round and not the center of the solar system to predict astronomical alignments accurately?
Judging from the recreation, it looks like they placed the earth in the center and depicted it as sphere. The latter bit is no surprise, as ancient Greek philosophers no only knew of the planet's spherical nature, but also calculated its size with a fairly accurate result.
@Merrsharr Not fairly, but extremely accurate. Eratosthenes calculated the planets circumference to within 1% over 2000 years ago using a stick in the ground. That’s why I shrug off the ideas of aliens building the pyramids and the like. We didn’t need them. Humans can be smart.
as an Ethiopian i believe the ark of the covenant is still in the saint mary of zion church near axum definitely.

The first one isn't a dinosaur. It's a crocodile because there's a sight in ancient Greek that says crocodile.

i love how more people believe that the Earth is millions of years old when there really isn't scientific evidence, while there is evidence that the earth is younger than we all think. But of course, it's easier to be a fool.
1:19 That's probably just a crocodile depicted by someone who's never seen one

Educated people knew the earth is a sphere since Eratosthenes (200 BCE). And there are no finds "that shouldn't exist", only some we still don't know enough about.

RETURN THE SLAAAB
At 11:11 "Maine penny" There was a hole in it, but the outer piece broke off in recent times. This shows that it was used as a pendant of some type. Possibly given to some native American, and they punched a hole in it in war around their neck....
Modern people carry keepsakes as well anyone could have dropped it anytime before it was found you are correct, our indigenous people did the same with coins .Some still punch holes in coins it's annoying to us collectors.
@@PaulKinley-xo7xo Where it was found was pretty deep, so it was dropped from its original owner way back in time. Long enough ago that it is now historical thing. Problem was that it was discovered by a guy that was looking for pottery. He just wasn't interested about anything else he found.... In a way he was sort of like the guy that used Dynamite to excavate Troy. Both were idiots....
The creature in the first topic, i think it is not to represent a real life animal, but an animal from mythology, and why am i saying that. Because right next to the creature it writes in greek ΚΡΟΚΟΔΙΛΟΠΑΡΔΑΛΙς [krokodilopArdalis], wich is a combined world, from the greek words κροκόδειλος (crocodile), and λεοπάρδαλη ( leopard ). So if you know any mythological creature that is half crocodile and half leopard tell me, because i don't know.

1:43 The word written next to the "dinosaur" says something like "crocodilian" or something like that, in Greek... So, I guess that the artist either wasn't so skilled or he never saw a crocodilian and made it based on descriptions of other people. No mystery here...

What good thing to do, and i am glad to hear that kind hearts still exist, .. i am just mentioning this, because not everyone knows, because i didn't always knew this ,....... but the chances that the mom would continue to take care of the baby, after an egg of bird have been touched, ...is always non existent, and sadly the weakest bird gets kicked out, .. i am happy you did help the baby bird, .. i grew up seeing my parents taking care and raising all kinds of birds
A bird wouldn't kick out a baby bird that had human scent on it. It's a wide misconception. Birds have a terrible sense of smell. Just like how bats can see better then humans and an elephant's footsteps are really quiet.
27:24 “ could it run Mario kart?” XD

It's actually been known the earth was round for a couple thousand years. The ancient Greeks not only learned the earth was round but even calculated it's approximate size (even if Greek philosophers didn't like the idea). The idea people dismissed Columbus because they thought the earth was flat is a longstanding myth: the real reason was they knew roughly how big it was and knew reaching the east by sailing west would take longer than sailing around Africa.
That thumbnail photo is NARYA. It's Gandalf's ring. Looks like it took a lot of heat in that fight with the Balrog of Moria. How did YOU get it, is the real question... "BE AMAZED"... If that is your real name.
The "dinosaur" looks like a big lizard, possibly a Europeans conception of a crocodile.
Like the Antikythera mechanism is one of many ooparts (out-of-place artifacts), like an airplane, or at least a model of one, another which is shown in ancient Egyptian tombs show what looks like a light bulb, I could go on, but they far too many to discuss.

With Ksar Draa, one easy thing that it could be would be a combo of watch point and supply point for travel there. Possibly also trade
This was excellent!
The spear of destiny has been studied much more closely. It was found to have layers added to it through the millennia like an onion. Dating farther and farther back until you get to the core. The core was determined to be a first century Roman nail. Make what you will of that.
Giant sloth more likely during Egypt wouldn't be first time we find out some wasn't extinct as early as we thought.
8:35 bro out here finding 096
3:55 the earth has been known to be round for more than 3000 years, the ancient Greeks calculated the size of the earth with insane accuracy. The reason Columbus thought he could reach Asia was because he didn't believe the Greeks and thought the earth was much smaller
