  • big BIG FAN of the designs for the sun and the moon. they're twins in the face, but the more you look at them, the more you see that the moon is simply a reflection of the sun. while the sun has bright red cheeks, the moon has smaller moles, when the sun dies, the moon goes with it, because the moon can only shine with the sun's light. oftentimes when ppl design the sun and the moon, they go towards making them as different as possible, and while this is the strategy taken for these designs, it's also not! they are perfectly androgynous children, the moon is more serene and understanding, invites the diplomat to hold their hand, makes the origami, the sun is energetic and spunky, confetti gets stuck in their hair, they give the diplomat the crown he gave to them. they are yin and yang, they're siblings (a rare interpretation for the sun and the moon, as ppl often depict them as lovers!), best friends, i'll go with you when you die. i'll hold your hand when you go, let me walk you there. it'll be okay, we'll go together. i also like the diplomat, who's styled more like a businessman than someone making peace deals! i like the lethality in which he carries himself, his absolute SHOCK when he's invited to play instead of talk, the way that his skin becomes more and more sunkissed and freckled as he understands, the way his hand trembles when he's holding the gun, the complete OPPOSITE of what he's meant to do, and his smile and pupil expansion when he sees the truth of stars. EXCELLENT SHORT!!!!! i'll be thinking about it for a while!!

This world is indeed beautiful and I feel lucky to have the sun and moon allowing me to see it with my eyes. Nature is the best gift life has ever offer. I instantly read "The Little Prince" back after looking at this short. I can feel the same spirit in this story. I absolutely love it. Thank you.

The character and environment designs are stunning, stylised forms and realistic textures isn't a look I see often. I like the pacing in this, too, the narration and sound design. Just great. Will definitely recommend to my friends! Thank you for creating this

You probably accept the setting given and roll with it. I can't help questioning the very setting itself, and arriving at the conclusion that it doesn't make sense.

    • @@feynthefallen It's art, you need to be looking at it through a more abstract lens than a purely logical one. In the pursuit to extend life, be it through fortune, good health, or youth, we often forget to experience that very same life. Death is inevitable for all of us, so it's important to experience and appreciate life while we can. This film is not so much telling a series of events as much as it is a metaphor.

  • there's so much to say about this masterpiece... but overall, the moral is just stunning. How the emissary in the beginning find this mission absurd, with all the seriousness and strictness of the human world, how the humanity seems dumb by offering only solutions that are applicables on other humans, and mostly how the humanity is stuck and continuousely seeking exit even in front of the inevitable. Here, humanity is at the same time self-centered and paranoid, when the sun and the moon just offered them recognition by telling them what will inevitably happen. And the way humans just tryes to get rid of the problem without even looking further into it, by fear and precipitament. Loved how it just let you know how to be in peace with things that you just can't change no matter what, because we are only humans, and nowhere near as omnipotent.✨

You should notice that they read davincis notes then proceeded to make a paper chair, they then bring him to the throne to sit, eventually he sits with them on the beach. The first attempt worked, it got their interest, they replied by saying "sit with us and contemplate till the end, till we end"

    • That smile at the end, from Sun …. makes me wonder if being shot, then carried by Moon *caused* the eclipse. If humanity caused their own destruction. If the Sun knew it would happen .. from the start. Smile of recognition? Confirmation? Of being right? Or I am projecting too. Making the same mistake as the negotiator. Amazing.

      @talitherose@talitherose4 ай бұрын
    • Or people simply misinterpreted what they said. In a total eclipse it creates darkness and it shrouds humanity, making them "vanish" for the sun and moon, but humanity took it as they'd disappear forever so they freak out and shoot the sun

  • Wow! Unbelievable! This has such elegant symbolism and poetry in portraying the relationship between man and nature. The way he pulled a gun and the literal fabric of the universe collapsed was breathtaking and probably my favorite part. Trying to comprehend this Masterpiece is like negotiating with the sun and moon. "You cannot negotiate with the stars, but their light is beautiful."

The lightning, the backgrounds, movements, so gorgeous… And the story, it definitely shows something about humanity. That, in its last defense, used violence, thinking it would solve all problems. But nature doesn’t care about the things humans offer; it just…do. Constantly flowing, unbound from any restrictions we put on each other. Also, that poor guy…having to go through all of that all alone…let’s hope he had peace after all this.

  • Just watched this and loved the message : to enjoy it all while it lasts . We lose the time and moments of joy whilst trying to make these moments better and long lasting, the answer is, we can't. I love how there's a Subtle message that humans can think that everything is negotiable because they never saw beyond the walls of known universe or existence. They are ignorant to the fact that they hold no to little power over all the possibilities of them being wiped out with the smallest of inconvenience to the environment of human existence. Just like we lose majority of our life preparing for a better life ahead. Only to realize that the very next second can take everything away from us for which we've been preparing. We often feel like we're invincible but that's our ignorance.

  • To me,this is a beautiful animated work with stunning and delicate visuals, and a thought-provoking story. The sun and the moon have their own lifespans. As the sun's lifespan approaches its end, it chooses to spend its last moments on Earth. However, humans believe that the disasters happening on Earth are deliberately caused by the sun and the moon - a prank played by them. Humans dispatch negotiators to try every possible way to communicate with the sun and the moon, and even attempt to kill the sun, which provides light and heat for humans. It is not until the end that the moon reveals the truth, and the negotiator suddenly understands that the sun and the moon will eventually leave, and he accompany them through the sun's final moments. What surprises me the most is the sun's smile. Before watching the film, I prejudicially thought that the smile was derisive and sarcastic. However, after watching the film, I believe that the smile is just the sun's gentle and tolerant farewell to the world. By the way, we have uploaded many excellent animated works to our channel. We warmly welcome you to watch and discuss them with us! Looking forward to your subscriptions!!

    • Watch it again. The first attempt he gives them all our knowledge, and they read it all, and make him a chair. Second he gives them a throne, they take him to the chair to sit on. Third he tries violence, and they rip reality apart until finally he sits. As he sits he contemplates the wonder of everything from life to a simple grain of sand, to simple action of dew forming on a leaf. This is what the sun and moon were doing through the whole thing. They were wondering at the amazement of everything in their final hours. The sun smiled because he entered that wonderment and amazement with them. He ends by sitting and being in awe as everything ends.

  • I don't know why but this short reminds me a great deal of Majora's Mask. The surreal and dreamy imagery, the emotional stakes of the living, and the existential dread of an impending end being experienced alongside a childish innocence. I've been wondering if I'd ever find anything like it again, and I feel like you truly captured a piece beautifully reminiscent to that experience. This film is a work of art, wonderful and grave, and leaving me with so much to contemplate. I can't express enough of my praises to you!

Because of everything that is happening in the world now, my heart bleeds every day and my soul suffers, I am in an endless quintessence of rage and sorrow, and this film just drew a line and made me experience in 8 minutes everything that I have experienced over the past year or so. This is an incredibly strong work and I believe that the team that worked on the creation of all this is incredibly talented and has a subtle feeling, and is also amazingly able to convey complex things through simple images. I'm absolutely thrilled and I'm still crying because it's beautiful and because it makes all the senses awaken and sharpen.

Like, i even not sure if is happy or sad end, but i think its beatiful. The drawing lines, the changes in details according to the video time, everything is really beautiful. Congratulations, i almost cried. (and i'm sorry for any errors.)
