RC4WD Mojave ii Bodied Redcat SixtyFour (90’s style Minitruck Lowrider)
Redcat LRH285 chassis chopped & trimmed to fit a RC4WD Mojave ii singe cab body. 1” has been chopped off the sides, 3/4” from the front fenders, about 95% of the rear fenders were removed, front section was trimmed about 1/2” & rear section was cut all the way to the battery & weight plate tray.
Bed has been cut to accommodate rear servo travel & chassis components. Front of the body has been trimmed & cut to house a 4Runner front end fascia minus the side markers next to the headlights that were cut off to fit the width of the body. Styrene extensions were fitted to the corners to extend the fender to cover the cut Runner fascia.
All door handles, mirror & key holes, body mount holes & rear tailgate were filled & shaved. 3D printed fender mirrors will be placed on the front fender. Using a CLOD chrome rear bumper to complete the rear end look.
Base coat was a whole can of Rustoleum glitter spray paint followed by a can & a half of clear. Wet sanded with 1500 & 2000 grit & polished using Meguiars ultimate compound.
Using DupliColor MetalCast Anodized Purple paint as a “candy” color to get a nice deep candy metallic purple I suppose.
Front upper & lower arms, C hubs, V2 toe links, steering arm & rear axle have been swapped to chrome parts from KandyNChrome customs as well as covered in their accompanying engraved stickers. Front end has been modified for side to side motion, but needs tweaking for fluid motion. Endpoints have been adjusted to sit the chassis lower to the ground.

Everything is still factory stock besides the chrome parts & shocks. Would hit harder if I switched to a 2S setup.
I want one and put a truck body and make it a drift lowrider!
If you want a drift lowrider, I would just servo mount the suspension on a RWD or 4WD drift chassis. I thought about making this chassis into a drifter, but it would take a lot of modifying to get the steering angle you need to hold decent angles as well as still being able to hop. Using 4 servos with a shock mounted to each one would be a easier option. Either route you take if you do, good luck bro! Would be dope to see it. 💪🏽💪🏽
How much does something like this cost?
Cost of the chassis, if you don’t already have one & don’t mind cutting the chassis plate, RC4WD Mojave body set & RC4WD 4Runner front fascia parts tree just for basics…based off current prices… LRH285 chassis only - $380 + shipping Mojave ii body set - $130 4Runner front end - $30 Basics will set you back about the cost of a new w/Impala body LRH285. Interior, shocks, lighting, Jevries True13s & what not will add more to the build unless your like me who hoards parts from other builds that get broken & thrown away. Going this route involves a lot of cutting to the chassis as well the bed & back of the cab to allow clearances for the shocks & motor to sit the body low enough. Rear cab cover was made from styrene as well the phantom grill.

RC4WD.Com. eBay or Amazon sell the full kit as well minus the interior. Interior gotta buy separate. Just search up Mojaveii body set. Should be around $130-$170 depending.

could you make a video on how you mounted yours?
All I did was stack magnets on the front fenders to get the front where I wanted it. For the rears is the same, but I stacked them on the corners in front of the battery tray. Magnets on the body are essentially under the hood & bed.

@@sintilla6148 It actually requires A LOT of trimming. More than I thought initially needed, but considering how the Mojave body tapers in in the bottom, it made it a little more difficult. Both sides have been trimmed just over 3/4”. All wheel wells have been pretty much deleted. The rear section was shaved all the way up to the battery tray & the front was trimmed about 1/2”-3/4”. I still need to trim the rest of the rear wheel wells so that I can lay one side all the way down & jack the other side up to 3 wheel & scrape the bumper. Right now, the tires catch the wells & it’ll just cause it to 360 in place.

@@TheYellowToyota 😂🤣😂 All good braddah. Figured it meant to say sick. I get some vids on my page of the crawlers running in sand. The blue runner & the newer one of the yellow running in sand small kine. I try keep away from the shoreline cuz that salt water going rust everything if you no rinse um good. That’s why I rebuilt the yellow truck on an axial chassis. Learned the hard way. Links, ball pivots, screws & the chassis all started to rust
