  • That Salido vs Lomachenko fight will go down as one of the most blatant robberies in boxing. Salido coming overweight on the scale, re-hydrating even more the day after, literally beating the world record for number of below-the-belt punches in a single fight (without a single warning from the referee) and being all around dirty, almost going down twice in the final rounds and having to be saved by the referee who GIFTED him time to recover calling arbitrary stops... AND STILL barely edging it by a controversial split decision, as a veteran world champion against a young prospect at his second professional fight. It should also be mentioned that he dodged the rematch like a bubonic plague in the following years, while Lomachenko on the other hand visibly improved at every fight since then.

  • For those that aren't aware, Lomachenko has recently had a reconstructive surgery done to his right rotator cuff in the past year. As much as his last two fights against Linares and Pedraza have answered the question about his ability to overcome adversity, you can't help but notice his main tool of attack (his right hand) has almost been completely taken away and he's been taking a lot more damage as a result. I hope he heals up to 100% and can keep rising to the occasion but I fear someone might come along who can fully exploit this new hole in his game. It's a shame, before Linares he showed skills that without question made him clearly in line for GOAT status, especially when he went up against Rigondeaux. I'd hate to see in injury shut the door on such great potential.

  • A true champion. Even though he lost that fight due to inadequate refereeing and scoring. He was a true champion and didn’t blame anyone and was grateful for the opportunity. These thug fighters that only care about being paid instead of being the best fighter they can be need to understand they are shit compared to Loma. He’s the most technically perfect fighter to ever play the game.

    @rickfrazier1148@rickfrazier11485 жыл бұрын
    • That fight was actually really difficult to score. Don’t ignore the fact that lomachenko clinched A LOT in that fight which didn’t help him with the judges. That being said it was 100% the refs fault that the fight went the way it did. If the ref controlled the fight and called salido out on his low blows it changed the entire landscape of the fight. He might’ve even got knocked out. Very very dirty fight. Hard to watch.

      @colorblindboxing7207@colorblindboxing72075 жыл бұрын
    • ColorBlindBoxing Loma was being wrapped up. He fought the entire time to break away from being held. It was hard to score if you didn’t see the dozens and dozens of low blows. All you have to do is count those and Loma wins by a landslide due to point deductions for low blows

      @rickfrazier1148@rickfrazier11485 жыл бұрын
    • Rick Frazier a judge can’t make the decision to deduct points. Salido should’ve been disqualified as dirty as he was fighting. Low blows, leading with his head, holding and hitting. Disgraceful victory for him.
