That truck belongs in a museum.
I read that in the voice of Indiana Jones
I think it was sitting in one for 40 years lol

I'm sure that's where it's at, it sold for $97,000, no one has that kind of money that's going to just start using it as a work truck, some private collector has it.
I bought a F250 in 1980, that thing drank the gas, i was 17yrs old my first new truck
I miss 1980....makes me get teary-eyed looking at this beautiful, simple example of a machine...
And to think I bought a Chevy Monza that year. Made a Japanese car queen out of me. Oh, well...
Same but I still have 2 old 1980 rigs and 3 60'70 rigs not nearly as pristine but still trucking along on original engines
@@deepbludude4697 so nice to hear that! I had a beat up ‘74 Chevy in high school. It looked awful, but I loved it and loved tearing into it. One day, I want to get something to tinker with again.
@@masapell Craigslist i just bought a 74 maverick for 300 bucks 47212 miles on it ill have it running in couple of days Im going to leave it with my son so he has an EMP proof vehicle so that he can get to my remote property when his fancypants infinity wont run...straight outa mad max, haha. Keep em rolling my friend and say no to cash for clunkers.
Wish I had one of these, but I've got a 1983 GMC, and I'm just happy to have a real truck.
I love how there are still gems like this floating around the world. I would absolutely LOVE to have this truck in my possession.
2021 F250: Welcome to your new Ford F250. 1980 F250: bzzzzzzzzzzz.
Beautiful Truck. I'm not a Ford man but wow she something else.
I got my 1st wet dream in a camper in the back of this exact truck
@@vanhalen5625 nice 👌
I’m a ford guy but there’s something about all the old trucks and square bodies that I love ford and Chevy and dodge
kzhead.info/sun/asyFZqp5cIluhmg/bejne.html
Omg, how pristine. I want to cry this truck is so pretty.
One of the best trucks I owned back in the day was my 1980 Ford 4x4. It was a tank in the snow. Loved that ‘ole truck. This one is gorgeous.
the 351M/400M is one of the most underrated big blocks in history.
My 76 xr7 had one in it. Nice motor.
Junk.
@@alanmyers5081 And the ford escort fans have arrived everyone!
I have a 460 1991 in my f-350 ... things a freakin tank .. sucks gas like one too but is prob more reliable then my Honda
Don't let whistlindiesel see this.
He said he wanted to buy it and.. you know. It did sell for almost a hundred grand, and to my knowledge, not to him. I don't care who got it, as long as it's not him.
@@Cheezeball99999 Hundred grand 😳
@@Cheezeball99999 kina would be ironic if it got to him some how
It aint a hundred grand neat. I can get alot of cool for a hundred g's
@@jeffreyyeater1780 my house and 5 acres was 20k less. These people buying these things like this are in another world.
I love older trucks like this
When I was 16 my dad bought me a new one, still have it today. But needs a lot of work. This video reminds me of when I was young and used to drive it to high school, almost took the time machine back to 1985.
Dad's are the best, my dad gave me his 73 power wagon when I was 16
My dad gave me a 2000 Wrangler 5 speed. Still have it! Going to pull it apart and refresh it and bring it back to stock.
I wish they still made these trucks! I used to see these trucks on the lot as a kid
Holy crap !!! I've always wanted this truck!!!! I was born in 1980 and a Ford fan, I have a 2013 FX4 5.0 always wanted a 1980 version !! This is unreal.
Man if I could I’d buy one like this brand new before I’d ever buy a new f250, this thing is pure class and beautiful. I hope whoever buys it keeps nice and preserves it, an original survivor like this just doesn’t exist
Someone else said it, this truck belongs in a museum. It's a brand new truck and if it gets driven they'll find the seals have dried up and it'll start leaking fluids.
I love the story behind this, it's a spite truck.
Pretty amazing really
That is unbelievable. I’ve always liked those bullnose Ford trucks. Thank you for sharing and I’d bid on this but divorces are expensive!
They are expensive, because they are worth it... Hahaha.. ✌
@@chancethompson8686 Could be!!

That’s a museum piece! I like the simplicity that you could do your own repairs no computer. B.S. awesome truck
Oh Look, an engine you can work on
That isn't covered in plastic
Really ain't that bad once you actually know the vehicle. The problem is when such parts are no longer plug and go and REQUIRE programing to work which no average person owns the systems to do it.
I bought the very first 1977 F250 4x4 351W Manual clutch . Took it clear to Alaska.
My first truck was an 80 Ford but in 2001. Had an engine rebuild, new upholstery and new paint. Thing ran like a dream and looked showroom
WOW! This truck will outlast anything GM or Chrysler had. You should keep her.
“I put *three* miles on it” How dare you disturb it’s slumber
My father bought a f250 1981 in late 80s with 27000km same color but no crome trim. Identical truck, I always thought it was the best looking Ford truck and it's been proven in this video. Gorgeous
Beautiful and my favorite Ford color .
This is amazing! I’m rebuilding an 86 and this is the look I’m going for. Beautiful!
That’s awesome, I remember going with my dad to the dealership and bringing home a new 1980 f150. It was identical looking except for the brown color. Brings back wonderful memories. Like everyone else I would buy it in a second if I had the money. God bless
Man wished I had seen this sooner. Would loved to got my hands on it!
Honestly, it is to marvelous to justify driving it. Just beautiful! Glorious!
That's a dream find
That truck should be in a museum. I remember when they were new and was shocked at the big round holes in the frame and the lack of a full floating rear axle. If I remember it has a Dana 44 front axle too. They improved them as the years went on and beefed them up and became good trucks. Had a 1982 F-150 4x4 with a 300 and a 4 speed over drive. It was a great truck and did everything I asked of it and some of it was more than I should have asked
This one is a light duty 3/4 ton which had the light duty axles and springs. It was based on gvwr which I don’t remember what it was. The heavy duty 3/4 ton had a full floating rear axle and much larger front hubs as well. It was rated at 8600 lb gvwr. I agree with the other comments that this truck belongs in a museum or some collectors garage.
@@fwcjr8170 I disagree - Cars should be enjoyed not be stationary. There are differences as to how they are enjoyed. I'm not saying drive it and park in the driveway, but drive it and store it properly. But, opinions are like assholes, we all have one.
Fun fact: that hood light pulls out comnected to a cord to act as flashlight to view around the truck. Not sure how long the cord is but its a nifty feature.
Gorgeous. Seriously, I love the boxy silhouette of early 80s trucks.
This is a miracle! What an amazing find!
Wow, unbelievable. What a beauty that ol girl is. Crazy that it was never used in 40 years.
Rite.. Im 44 and boy have i got some miles on me lol..
My dad has a 79 Ford custom super cab. I spent my childhood with a camper on top of it dragging around Canada and the US for about 15 years or so. The body is very similar and dad still has it with a new slide on camper with it and he has almost 830,000 km which is around 515,000 miles! 🇨🇦
What's the max speed on that thing? Mine doesn't like going over 65, and prefers 55mph. Can't use the highway at those speeds.
Thanks for the back story to this. Awesome piece of history 👍🏼
I'll give ya the sticker price. Feeling generous today
I just looked it up and this truck sold for $97k!
@@winolaautomotive1131 same price as new f450 dually 4x4 4dr platinum
@@winolaautomotive1131 That's how much money I inherited from my mom in 1988. Thought I was rich!
What! With all the damage on the bed. :)
Haha 😝🤪😝
That's got to be the best find of the decade
if that nice truck has a mechanical fuel pump, replace it before the diafragm ruptures due to age and non use so that the gas won't mix with the oil.
This was a find of a life time truly amazing oh if I had the money it would be sitting in my driveway for sure
My dad had a 92 parked in a garage its whole life. Had 70,000 miles. He's 91. My wife borrowed it for a day, it snowed and slid into oncoming truck and totaled it a month ago. She walked away and we were all sick. He had minimum insurance. I would love to buy this one.
Obvious lesson here is...
... Never loan your truck out. However there's a few lessons in my opinion lol. (In no disrespect to Scott)
Thank God she is ok, but I know that one was tough 🤦🏻♂️
Frontier Ford used to be in Rockford Illinois. Called Rock River Ford now
I'll take it. Un fricken believable..
For a second a panicked because I thought this was whistlin diesels channel because it's such a good looking truck XD and we all know what happens to trucks there XD
Absolutely amazing
I love love love the old f series trucks they just look so good and they last.
1980 was the first year for those 7th generation Ford F-series pickups & same with the fullsize Broncos with that same body style.
Holy!!! That thing is absolutely ridiculous!!! Definitely a show truck.
SCHWING! That thing is absolutely stellar.
Real truck with real metal!!! Not like the junk you buy today!
I cant tell you how many people I know that have gone through 3 or 4 brand new vehicles, meanwhile I'm still driving my 1/2 million mile classic American truck. And yes, I'm an autobody guy and the steel used for the body panels then Vs now, is night and day. The old trucks the beds were twice as thick as modern ones, surprisingly I've found the frames to be a bit beefier as well... A lot of modern trucks used stamped steel, its just a piss poor cheap way to do things.
This truck is absolutely astonishing, a true time capsule for sure.
So cool , love seeing stuff like this .. thanks for sharing
This truck is simply flawless and amazing i really love the paint job
Wow. My dad had the same truck. Getting flash backs. In really good shape
what an amazing truck! I can't believe it...
Back in 1980 I was working in Lake Placid during the winter olympics and this was what we had for trucks with every Bell and whistle that was offered by Ford at that time about 15 years ago I saw one had survived and was on the property of John Brown's grave and farm house. It sure didn't look as pretty as it did in 1980. But the fact it survived that many years in the adirondacks was impressive.
Insane…beautiful truck!
Had an 84 Bronco full size w/plow that had been gone thru top to bottom. 351 windsor high output, automatic, limited slip rear end. All I did was plow with it. Never a problem. Had a job related move and no place to put it (I had 4 vehicles at the time) so it was sold as well as the other 3. I do miss that thing. I live in the woods now with a 300' driveway. 🤷♂️
Wow!! This is amazing!! A true time capsule
Love the truck love the 80 & 81 grill never seen any of them besides mine on my 81
Love this truck! What a beauty!!. Hope the new owner takes good care of it.I own a low mileage 81.
Wow!! I’m green with envy! I had a 1/2 ton 84’ same color for 24 years. Kicking myself for selling it! 😩 would be a dream to have that beautiful truck 😍
Wow, I'm even thinkin of going full sticker price for this beaut..
Wow!! Belongs in a museum!!
Twin Cities built. Def belongs in a museum.
Immaculate truck!!! I would love to own something like this one day
Un verdadero sueño!! Súper hermosa camioneta!! Felicitaciones!! Saludos desde Ituzaingó Corrientes Argentina!!
I love those era F250 4x4s...they really looked like they meant business. I have an '86 with the 460...talk about sucking fuel!!! That's why it's basically just been a shed for quite a few years now. This one makes me drool. I've dreamed of running across one in decent shape from that era, but this takes the cake!
Wow, that is a beautiful machine!
Damn, that's incredible!
So I just checked,... this thing ended up selling at auction for $97,000. Dear lord where have we gone? Thanks obama
Brings back memories.
Oh, If I won the Lottery, I'd be hunting down that truck...WOW!!!
Wow!!! What a beautiful truck..
Beautiful truck absolutely beautiful
That’s amazing. Original tires are cool!
But VERY unsafe on the road. But a Trailer Queen / Museum don't care. I would only drive to local Cars & Coffee etc. Along with Ford Clubs.
I'd love to own that would last my entire life
Beautiful truck
Thats one beautiful truck. I love my fords..
Miss my ol 80 f150. Had a 300 i6, granny 4spd, 4x4. Painted it almost that same color blue. My dad bought it, changed the engine n drove it for idk how long. I bought it from him my senior yr of high school. Regret ever tradin it off
This is like Gran Torino if Clint was even more badass.
Holy hell man. Thats awesome
Wow, what a find.
What a Beautiful Truck!
THAT is a truck!!!! Beautiful!!!! Hopefully you get the most money.
Unbelievable, love it .
My neighbor had this exact same truck! He used it on his farm and it was worked to death. It wound up sitting beside his barn when the engine went. It was sold to a guy that I think scrapped it.
Absolutely gorgeous
Very good find on this. Nice just NICE.
Oh man that thing is a beauty
Nice restoration😄 good job looks good
Thats incredible!
I had 1 and was my favorite truck ever. 4 speed bulldog
Incredible!!!
beautiful machine!
A working feedback carb system on these is rare in itself. They were extremely easy to disable and convert to straight carb and many people who got these just pulled the systems off themselves. They broke down a lot especially under heavy use anyway and there is little chance of restoring an old one to working order because parts are nearly nonexistent. You might just have the last completely stock bullnose underhood.
Beautiful truck.
Wow! what a find.
I wish she had the 300 ci inline 6cyl . My last Ford F-150 with the 300 ci i sold for $800.00 with 4WD. She had 576,199 miles on her ! She was my Winter Beater and crap hauler for 20 years. She was my good friend. We live in Minnesota. That truck never let me down. I chainged the oil every 3,000 miles. It would be 23 degrees below 0 with a 20 mph wind out of the north and she fired up ! I can't tell you how many people i jump started who had old batteries or pulled out of a snow filled ditch or a 5ft high snowbank with a chain .
