Great video. Just a note, the substance sprayed at 5:44 is called a tack coat, its main purpose is to bind the new layer of asphalt to the existing (in cases where there is existing asphalt below); it is unnecessary in situations where the pavement is built from 'the ground up'.

The surface paving is usually the easiest AND FASTEST part. Most of these videos on KZhead only show this part of the job. The earthworks, then a GOOD sub-grade, sub-base and base, THAT'S WHAT TAKES TIME TO BUILD A ROAD.... and the part where if you mess up, don´t compact properly, etc, will result in surface problems.

Apparently, no one in the US is buying these machines, we still have to suffer through orange barrels for years at a time for just a couple miles of work.

Lol the US uses all of that but the cold asphalt. But I'm not 100% sure about the cold asphalt. You still use the same amount of people you just are able to move much faster.
Its professional technology I like it I think it could ends the potholes and prevent excident

Buying one of these machines is easy. The difficult part is getting parts for maintenance, if the machine creator does not have a local parts supplier. And construction machines DO BREAK. Oh yeah... they DO BREAK!

Most of that have been around for decades now. The cold asphalt is kind of new I think. I have personally used the curb machine. What takes the time is the preparation.

Concrete roadways dont even normally contains rebar. For curbWe used to do control joints shortly after slipping it. Some will do them the following day with a saw like pave. Gutter curb tends to look better than normal curb, longer. If you actually like the look of it
Using the latest machinery reduces the man power. The job has become more convenient and soo quick. The latest machinery reduces the work force too.

Are you referring to reinforcement bars? If so , on plain ground like this with natural foundation it's not necessary.
