Really though! First I was wondering about an Espresso Martini served up on ice but then she just used it to chill the glass! That is actual proper technique. I put the glas in the freezer but this is also fine. Very impressed. Not sure about stirring a Bramble in crushed ice though 😅

As a non-bartender she did surprisingly well. She even knew her terminology and the proper steps involved in making each of these drinks. From a professional bartender that’s been doing this for over twenty years, I’d rate her a 7.5 out of 10, bordering on 8.
Agree. The shaking technique brings it down to a 6 though imo. That espresso martini had about 3mm of foam.

Yes, I would say 8 out of 10. The only thing she needs to improve on is her shaking technique. Her careful and thoughtful considerations on the recipes and execution were practically perfect.

As a bartender, I think what Emma hits the nail on the head with here is how personal a cocktail you’ve served someone can feel to you. There’s sometimes references to things that only you will understand. Putting parts of your life or experiences into something for someone else to enjoy is hugely rewarding ❤

Nothing wrong with making a remake. It’s been 13 years since the last movie, over 20 since the first movie. Been long enough. Nothing will replace the nostalgia or the cast that molded our childhoods but it’s not untouchable property that can’t be rebooted. You probably know as well as most that the movies did not follow the books very closely after the second movie so HBO has an opportunity to make a more faithful retelling of the books. Obviously it’s going to be incredibly hard to separate Rupert, Emma and Daniel’s performances and allow new actors/actresses to try their hand at it but with modern CGI, each book being a season, and it being handled by a gold standard television service (HBO) I think it has potential

She doesn't need to take every acting job that comes along. She instead wants to spend her time and create a project on her own terms (producing, writing, directing & acting). Not many people have the tenacity, persistence and dedication to do that. It's much easier to just agree to play a character and read lines off a paper, than to be involved in the creative and financial direction of the whole filmmaking process.
