That was when Peter tricked it. It had bonded to Eddie and Peter said he'd accept the symbiote after Venom thrashed him. It immediately abandoned Eddie and tried to bond with Peter. Now knowing its weakness, Peter created a wall of memories of his loved ones to force it back off him.

I always liked this scene where spiderman gains freedom of the suit. All the others are just using fire or sound then it peels off. No this time he is put inside of his own mind. It's interesting how symbiotes really, live, with their hosts. We've seen a healthy relationship possible with Eddie Brock and Venom, so I sometimes wonder, if Spiderman could reason with the symbiote like Eddie did, how would that go?... Venom needs food, but Spiderman doesn't want to kill anybody, so would they have to find a middle ground where Venom could get nutrients, would it be a breaking point?

Eddie and Venom wasn't a healthy relationship until VERY recently. It fed on Brock's hate for Spider-Man. Eventually it started tormenting Brock to get more adrenaline out of him. It wasn't until it had spent a long time with Flash that their bond became truly healthy.

Okay couple things that should be noted. Symbiote here was a trend setter. He wanted a life long host, his people use people like we use cigarettes. One puff and move on to the next. Peter was in a dark place. Darkness and practicality speaking, Peter needed him. He needed someone to vent to, to have in his corner. His love life was always shit, in every dimension, every timeline he just never had anyone strong enough to endure it. Endure him. Canonically he just gets out through the ringer, one bad day after another. It drains people, breaks em. Slow and painful. Peter deserved better, but his morals and his ethics held him to a higher code than even Captain America. He even said so when Peter took a bullet from the Punisher for him.

If the symbiote didn’t alter Pete’s mind and make him a jerk, they could have been a great team. But it’s a parasite that feeds on those emotions. But it really does want to be with him. It abandoned Eddie later when Peter tricked it into merging with him again. It’s more sentimental than we give it credit for.

Yeah. The symbiote is basically using Peter's own demons against him. But its animated to make it easier for younger audience to enjoy by making it look as if he's only actually fighting the suit. Its good if you are young and even better if you're older. This show was brilliant.

I always liked this scene where spiderman gains freedom of the suit. All the others are just using fire or sound then it peels off. No this time he is put inside of his own mind. Fending odd the symbiote with the memories of his friends and family with him. It's one of my favorite scenes in this show.
Neat mental debate, and in all honesty. The symbiote had some good points, Peter takes so much shit from people and yet remains good.
This is actually a really sad scene, because venom is the representation of Peter Parker, looking out for himself putting himself first and then Ben Parker is representation of his overbearing responsibility/guilt as a superhero to save everyone he can, even when it ruins his life which it often does

It's interesting how symbiotes really, live, with their hosts. We've seen a healthy relationship possible with Eddie Brock and Venom, so I sometimes wonder, if Spiderman could reason with the symbiote like Eddie did, how would that go?... Venom needs food, but Spiderman doesn't want to kill anybody, so would they have to find a middle ground where Venom could get nutrients, would it be a breaking point?
venom wanted to originally help after all His sense of right and wrong was Altered by Spider-Man so much that When he debuted in the comics marvel did a what if event in case Peter ever kept the symbiote short answer is Peter couldn’t reason with it but he Did make venom a permanent hero

Eddie and Venom wasn't a healthy relationship until VERY recently. It fed on Brock's hate for Spider-Man. Eventually it started tormenting Brock to get more adrenaline out of him. It wasn't until it had spent a long time with Flash that their bond became truly healthy.
I LOVED this so much. It hit so hard and was so powerful. They do not utilized uncle Ben in this way in any other cartoons I’ve seen (I don’t know about all the comics). But it shows how much uncle Ben still affects Peter and how he is still with him
Okay couple things that should be noted. Symbiote here was a trend setter. He wanted a life long host, his people use people like we use cigarettes. One puff and move on to the next. Peter was in a dark place. Darkness and practicality speaking, Peter needed him. He needed someone to vent to, to have in his corner. His love life was always shit, in every dimension, every timeline he just never had anyone strong enough to endure it. Endure him. Canonically he just gets out through the ringer, one bad day after another. It drains people, breaks em. Slow and painful. Peter deserved better, but his morals and his ethics held him to a higher code than even Captain America. He even said so when Peter took a bullet from the Punisher for him.

It’s not a parasite it just doesn’t understand human morals and values and why our moral compass and values are so important to us. Peter could have talked to the symbiote it loves him ie when Peter wanted the symbiote back it came back to him only for Peter to call it a parasite and a disease. Even though it only wanted what was the best thing for him in its opinion. :(
