  • So, the main reason the red crabs aren't eaten is because they don't taste good and are more waste then food? But spider crabs are good, so they are eaten. That's what I got from this video.

Salt and Pepper Mashed Potatoes, Baked Chicken, and Bastardized Spaghetti aren't what I would consider amazing cuisine, while still delicious on their own. China's geography have a variety of mountain, river, and flying animals/plants/mushrooms. The diversity combined with historical internal conflicts, wars, natural disasters, and famine, make it "eat anything" as both a necessity as well as the skills to make anything taste good. :)

    • I lived on St. Croix in the late 1970s. Went back there in 2005 and it was a very different place. There were still many houses with no roofs and blue tarps for walls. I remember how poor the native islanders were. Bet there aren't too many natives left at this point. Every time a big hurricane destroys stuff the rich tourists buy the land and make it into an unaffordable luxury resort. Sad, really.

  • There are not as many crabs as there used to be. Sadly, ants got to the island, and they are killing the crabs.

  • Same thing happens in El Salvadore, my friend back in the 90's was an expert diver & trainer. He was going on a dive trip down in El Salvadore, asked me to come along haha NO TY....Said and tookpics of their red crabs crossing the roads just like those in the video. But no one down there put up barricades lol they just let the crabs do their thing.

  • When they pointed out that the tiny introduced wasp was from Malaysia, they pointed somewhere in Central America. This is on the other side of the world from Malaysia.

  • Now I live in Louisiana and I love me some boiled crabs but what I can't stand is soft shell crab, to me it's like biting into parchment paper.

    • For the soft shell crabs, you have to fry them and they taste excellent😂

    • That's because you've never ate a Chesapeake Bay fried soft shell crab sandwich. Lived in Louisiana for a decade and their crabs are good but the best blue crabs come from the Bay not the Gulf. Now crawlfish etoufeé, fried gar balls, gator tail, blackened catfish filets, frog legs and those huge gulf oysters are the bomb. Hell coonass Cajuns could take an old tire or license plate and season it, cook it, and make it c'est ce bon mon Amie! They came up with Old Bay in Baltimore not Baton Rouge. Thanks to the Holocaust a Jewish German refugee Gustav Brunn came up with it in Baltimore in 1940. He was a master sausage Spicer in Duetschland until the MAGAs I mean Nazis chased him out!
