1:05 looked like she was wincing in pain after that FH. I think Tursunov wrecked her wrist right before USO last year by over training and repeated hard hitting to her to get her ready for big hitters like Rybakina/Sabalenka, but that kind of hard hitting takes years of conditioning to build up, you can't expect someone to start hitting hard within a couple of weeks without proper conditioning. She should've withdrawn from USO last year after breaking her wrist in practice but instead she took an injection and played on for another month, which made it much worse. Tursunov is all about big power and just wants quick results, he injures all his players. He talks about "red flags" in Emma's camp, the only red flag was him! Emma never should've gotten anywhere near him. I hope she'll take a longer break from tennis, like 3-6 months, to let this heal completely, there are no quick fixes. These slow courts of IW and Miami will only make it worse.

Maybe Emma should play pickleball instead. It's much gentler on the body. Women's tennis has become too much of a ball bashing contest, players are dropping like flies with injuries. I think lots of people will start watching pickleball if Emma plays it, seriously.

I don't think people Hate emma. I think the Fact the way she goes about things like pulling out at the last moment. Then pulling a wildcard out of her ... whenever she want's. That seems how it is and is going to be for quite a while. Injury or not you don't prance around in a dress one week and promise to be at a event even if it just for fun. Is she privileged? Yes, privileged. As long as you sell tix & make $ for the organisers, you got award wildcards & have a chance to play in the center court & at the hours, when most people could get off from work & watch.

She hasn’t pulled out of many tournaments. She’s been dealing with injuries but hasn’t pulled out of a lot last minute.

IW and Miami courts are super slow. Emma should pull out if her wrists are hurting, rather than risk injuring them further. These tournaments are not worth it, they are not slams.
