Bear vs Horses | Grizzly Bear hunting Wild Horses
Grizzly Bear is hunting wild horses in Alberta Canada . A group of wild horses is living in forest of Alberta . Grizzly bear is chasing them . Observer cameras recorded this moment . When horses run in panic chasing by a grizzly which run furious to catch and kill a horse .
The hunting goes well for the bear. He managed to catch and hunt down a old horse.
Bear Attack domestic animals because they are easy to catch . Many people in the West pretend to protect their livestock by using donkey ans lamas as bodyguard of the flock .
In reality lamas ans donkey can't protect livestock from bear or from wolves.
The best option are livestock guardian dog. They are serving for thousands of years as guardian of livestock . They know predators veey well and they use their skills to fend off them.

Brown black and grisly bears are 3 different breeds of bears
Although bears do hunt and kill a lot of the baby horses in Alberts, the horse they where eating was put down because of the wounds she got from a cougar attack. The body was placed there and filmed to see who showed up to feed on her.
I figured it was staged.
If that’s the case, this video is more disgusting and disturbing than I initially thought. What kind of sadistic people get off on posting crap like this? Do we not have enough violence in the world as it is????
The rear on that carcass looks to that of a moose. Nice try on the clickbait. The stallion of that herd was doing an impressive job on keeping himself between his mares and the predator, LURING the predator to himself. Very brave stallion
Yeah, I thought so too. Moose. Having said that though, I think the bear has an edge in way of stamina. It just keeps on running
@@aurangzebdurrani4051 Actually I think it's the other way around. Bears are faster over a short distance but horses have more stamina. Also I believe horses are faster going up hill than are bears.

Courageous of a rotten human, observe and you will see that the dog is attached so yes courageous dog but at what price on the life of the dog, even if he keeps could not be free and do his job easily without doing this Estate the bear in doubt if he wants he eats the dog, he makes dog his crust

Grizzly bears have surprising speed but the endurance by a full grown horse can't be matched by a grizzly, in a long distance run. Perhaps the bear noticed a slight weakness in one of the adult horses and that weakness hampered it's endurance. (I don't know how long the foal can keep up with it's mother though)

HungryGrizzly bears Can run forever . Very capable of catching a horse
I’ve seen a video of a grizzly chasing an elk down for what seems like forever. In the end.. the elk loses. The grizzlies stamina is unmatched. They are the apex predator of the North American continent and in spite of the horses speed and natural wariness of danger… they are no match for a hungry grizzly. They can run… but they can’t hide… and the grizzly is relentless.
great video, only one thing wrong. Black bears can also be brown so here in Alberta we classify them as black bears. Don't think a grizzly bear can normally chase down a horse....those horses in the video were loping along and have another gear if they need it. Mr. Grizzly looked like he had the pedal to the metal. Griz could certainly surprise a horse in the woods, or catch a weakened or very young or old horse I'm sure, but a normal chase through relatively open land, I'd bet on the horse to leave the bear behind after a while.

I can tell you by first-hand experience, my Large Central Asian Ovtcharka dogs confronted black bear, which are generally considerably smaller and less aggressive compared to the brown bears, on several occasions and even a very large CAO specimen is no match physically for an adult or even 2-3 year old bear. However, these dogs are tenacious defenders and will simply not back down from the bear, and when you have multiple dogs such I had, they wear the bear down psychologically, perhaps even more than physically. My 160 lb female exhibited such a level of aggression towards a sub-adult male black bear, that he simply turned and fled the area. However, I co-owned an unusually large import from Uzbekistan, who was of champion fighting lines and was wired very hot, exceeding aggressive toward all dogs, male or female (rendering a non-functional LGD, because he could not function within the confines of a LGD pack), and any human except myself, including his previous owners, and he got into a physical confrontation with a family of black bear, getting torn up in the process and almost tearing the ear of mamma bear. We (with local vet) had to anesthetize the bear, suture her ear (the portion that could be salvaged), and administer IV antibiotics to her. Bears are constantly on the hunt for food and are in general opportunist omnivores, except for the Polar Bears, and they will never refuse an easy meal, be that farm/ranch livestock or feed for farm animals. The search for food and calories consumes the bear. For those believing any breed of dog can serve as Livestock ranch and farm guardians, I tell you you are delusional. Even among LGD breeds, certain breeds are better suited for defending against smaller predators, while others may be superior guarding against avian predators, and medium to large predators. The Central Asian Ovtcharka, Caucasian Ovtcharka, and Kangal in part because of their greater size compared to other LGD breeds, are superior at defending from larger predators, while the COA is particularly alert and adept at guarding against threats from hawks and eagles.

This is a great post, I had several Tibetan mastiffs, but I dont live in grizzly country. I'm convinced, it becomes a numbers game where you need a pack of LGD dogs, and a large food budget to feed them. Generally I'd have at least 2, you cant expect one to do the job and be content. Sure explains why vegetable gardens in Montana have a massive fence surrounding it. I live too far south for wolves, the coyotes are only 50lbs.
WhTs your opinion on my alabi dog. Is it the same as CAO?
Just keep lion and no bear would dare to come near at your farm.
If you watch the stallion at the very very beginning of the clip. He is barely moving and suddenly ups the pace. That tells me they saw the bear coming and waited for it to close the distance before turning up their speed. A bear you can anticipate coming is one easier to avoid. Let it believe it has a chance. Well played.
