Kangal dogs are one of the best livestock guardian dog when it comes to performance against different predators. These footages Kangal dog shows best performance by driving away brown bear and protect the livestock.
Some dogs cross the limits by confront the bear and the bear react by attacking the dogs and injuries few of them but not serious injury

  • all livestock guardian dogs are so impressive. they just do their job and put the life on the line in order to protect the farm animals. truly magnificent to watch. they work together like wolves. making sure the bears or wolves are far away from the livestock and encouraging the predators to hunt elsewhere. we dont deserve dogs on this planet. it really is a beautiful animal who will do everything for us humans.

    • If you think they are impressive, you should see what a small herd of 4 Mammoth Donkeys can do to bears and wolves. I have never seen anything like it. They are huge with an insane bite force and the attitude of Honey Badgers. I saw a brown bear missing part of its stomach and intestines sticking out after being attacked by 4 Mammoth Donkeys on a ranch. It died and they bit into it flinging the bear's corpse into the air like a toy rag doll. I have also seen them flinging wolves to their deaths by biting them on the spine rendering the wolf's hind legs paraslised from breaking the spine. They don't stop until the animal is not moving or in pieces. If the animal's nerves make the muscle twitch the corpse beating begins again. It's the most insane thing.

  • I'll never forget seeing a bear attack a pig on a property only to be violated by 4 Mammoth Donkeys until it was dead. Mammoth Donkeys are huge and powerful and have the bite force more than the bear. It bit the stomach of the bear open and you can see the intestine. After the bear died they were biting and swinging the corpse of the bear like a toy flinging it into the air. Never seen anything like it. Mammoth Donkeys are big like a horse but angry and fearless like a Honey Badger.

    • It happens but it's not an enjoyable experience for bear and seen some bears big browns attack sheep and farmer had a dozen adult Kangles with spiked collars the bear was big and tried to hold his ground but just to many dogs I think they drove him crazy but they don't try to kill bears usually just stay in and run them off wolf's they want to kill them but a big bear standing there ground seen a lot of grizzly bear do it with wolf packs timber wolf is the biggest wolf and a lot of big male Kangals are bigger then timber wolf's but have to admit there a very impressive dog

  • I think a couple of those dogs had to have protective collars on. It looked like at least 2 of them were in bad positions and could have been killed. Dogs are tough as nails!!

  • When they put the spiked collars on the Kangles there unbeatable if they have 5 or more they have got smarter instead of two dogs they use packs now and when they fight the wolf's in packs and the dogs end up safe and killing wolf's at same time when there was just 2 wolf pack would trick dogs and lead them into ambush but now most farmers use 6 minimum with spiked collars and there size Usually even more than enough for bears as Well they are very loyal family pets and just guard dog a male can get so big they keep eyes on kids outside just a very impressive dog

    • Watch again then, 4 Kangals can absolutely frighten a bear and chase him off. The bear doesn't fight to the death, he is just looking for food. The kangal will fight to the death. That's why 4 kanglas can easily frighten and chase off a bear even if he could destroy them very quickly.

  • I can watch over and over! Thank you for sharing . Thank you for educating, your knowledge of the dogs behaviors and their job is superior, as well as your dogs. Dogs are absolutely the first line in defence of your livelihood they know before we do their senses are better . How proud you must be of these packs . Dogs will do what they must even in the unfortunate event the predators hurt,even kill the dogs loyalties to their flocks just amazing! Thank you again!

  • Working dogs doing their job is a beautiful thing what is not a beautiful thing is a working dog on a chain with no job even worse an intact male working dog on a chain with no job its so sad lady dog owners don't know anything about the breed they choose its so sad unfortunately where I am I see chained working dogs that escape run from their owners why just get a stuffed animal if your unwillingly able to assign a job to a working dog

    • Working dogs are not happy if they don't have a job to do. I have a Pyrenees/Pitbull mix and she loves her job of watching over my livestock (chickens and ducks). Keeps out 2 legged and 4 legged predators. Best dog I've ever owned for that purpose. Pyrenees instinct but great trainability and recall. I hate to see working dogs tied up as well or stuck in city life.

    • one day he too will grow up and return to do the same damage his mother did. Killing for a living, that's the wolf law! Kangal doesn't even attack a wolf cub, but a bear attacks a cub. This suggests that he perceives the bear cub as a threat to himself and the things he is tasked with protecting. because Kangal will only attack then. harmless to children and infants for the same reason. In fact, he takes great pleasure in playing with them...

  • I love livestock Guardian dogs! However when it comes to babies even if it's a bear they should be trained to just chase them off not harm the baby cubs but I think that they are necessary when you live out in the wild however chasing down a mama bear with babies and continually attacking the babies should be frowned upon if they chase the mama off and the mama leaves with the babies and they should cease & stop chasing them. But thank you for the wonderful videos I love these dogs

    • I'm sure very few cubs are injured...mama bears won't let that happen. But it's important that the dogs teach the mother and her cubs to keep away from the livestock. Bears learn very quickly that this farm is no place to bring their cubs!

  • Se podría decir que el kangal tiene la altura de una leona, solo que la leona es más larga de cuerpo. Estos perros son mucho más peligrosos que una manada de lobos, nunca he visto lobos persiguiendo a un oso así.   • I'm not sure if I should laugh at the absurdity or cry from the stupidity of these comments. My little 8lb Jack Russell chases black bears of my property, that doesn't mean my dog can take down a bear, it means the bear just isn't hungry or threatened enough to bother. No dog breed is a threat to a bear period. These videos are ridiculous and the people that believe them to be true are even worse.

  • The Kangal is a strong and rather large dog with thick fur, but the bear is on a different level. It is very dangerous, especially when it has a baby with it. After all, we are talking about an animal that the Siberian tiger can only cope with! but it still manages to do its job in the best way...

  • Toda madre defiende con furia a sus crias .una madre puma es muy peligrosa para el hombre , muchas veces los perros le encuentran las crias y ella los ataca con furia y si el hombre esta bastante cerca no duda en atacar y ahi se arma tremendo problema porque el perro en ese momento ataca a matar o morir y si hay 2 o 3 perros y ya saben pelear defendiendo cabras o avejas el puma esta muy en riesgo de salir muy lastimado o muerto porque los perros no lo sueltan por nada y ya no le tienen ningun temor

    • Kangals were brought to Namibia and Kenya to fend off cheetahs and leopards and prevent them from hunting livestock. They proved very successful at this job and nowadays villagers don't have to kill the predators.

    • Zerfetzt Bärenjungen finde ich kein Rettung! Der arme Bauer braucht auf diese Weise kein Zaun und Aufpasser als Mensch. Gibts sicherlich bessere Methode, wie 5 Hunde auf ein Bär oder auf ein Jungbär hetzen! Was ist mit Warnschüsse, zu vertreiben, oder ähnliches? So ist für der Bauer billiger!!
