It makes sense that Steve’s mouth has enough space to fit his inventory. Steve can drink an entire milk bucket. Assuming a milk bucket has the same amount of liquid as a water bucket, the volume of liquid that he drinks is greater than the volume of his entire body. So it’s possible that Steve has a portal in there or he could be some kind of four-dimensional being. But hey, that’s just a theory, a phoenixsc theory.
So Steve is like.. a water ballon in a way minus the expanding? Heh. *Balloon Steve*

I think that, rather than the inventory being moist (or chests, furnaces, etc.), there is some property about being an item that keeps the coral from dying. Once the coral is in item form, it does not die even when on the ground (where it would normally dye). Items likely exist in some stasis where they cannot change until they interact with the world somehow (like a pokeball). This also makes sense when considering how items like open buckets of water don't spill and tadpoles don't age.
You’re ruining it!!

this brings me onto another topic Steves inventory is refrigerated so are the chests, hoppers, barrels, item frames, and even his own hands, And thats why food in minecraft never spoils. You could have milk in your inventory for eternity and it doesnt go chunky.
@@themenacingpenguin.7152 when you drop food on the ground in minecraft it despawns like any item it doesnt spoil, or maybe it despawns before it was about to spoil..
Actual explanation: Steve canonically has the magical ability to turn objects into smaller, weightless, weak, harmless, stackable representations of themselves that are also frozen in time usually. For example he can pick up a block of lava with a bucket but throw the bucket into lava to burn it, that's because picking up lava has the lava in a harmless weakened state able to be held by the bucket and the bucket can be burned by actual lava because it's also shrunk and weak The inventory itself is likely inside Steve's body, possibly shifted into a pocket dimension much like any videogame protagonist, or due to the items being small and weak he might just have an organ for it within his body, either the inventory organ or Pocket dimension obviously have limited space and rules because you only get 27 slots and some items can't be stacked. Due to how you pick up and regurgitate items I suspect Steve can either shift the items in and out of our dimension from his inventory in any given space near his skin, or if the inventory is an organ he might be able to shift it through his skin like an amoeba, either way he probably choses to throw them out of his face so that he can aim his throws directly with his eyes In my estimation the Hotbar is just Steve shifting various items directly within his arms to shift between them through his hands quicker, and holding and using a sword or a flint and steal or any other tool is him changing them to their true forms, since they can affect the outside world and are technically immune to lava and such, Steve holding a sword and swimming through lava is fine for the sword but the second he drops it or dies suddenly the sword can be burned So in conclusion, Steven Minecraft isn't actually a demigod strong enough to bench-press the multiverse that would be insane, he's a pixilated humanoid Kirby equivalent in blue clothes with the ability to spontaneously transmute matter and contain items within his own body from the second he spawns with no effort, because Occam's razor never existed
Or he's both >:3
So… you’re saying he CAN put it in his mouth?

My Theory Steve has a big container full off slots, the inventory is a top down view of said container when needed, Steve can fill those slots with the required substances to make sure things don't die just don't think about it too much like what happens when you put saplings in your inventory with this idea
Steve's inventory is a pocket dimension where time ceases to be, so nothing dries up or cools down.
Steve probably keeps his stuff inside bubbles that spin really fast
Steve prolly has 4 balls
Infinite spin

@@DarkerJam But is he *really* 89 years old???
I'm pretty convinced now that Steve's tongue is a waterlogged upside-down half slab since you can place corals on those in the overworld to keep them alive.
That is the perfect answer!!!
The word ‘subscribe :)’ is actually put in-game, but it is invisible. If you pay attention to the shadow, it is upside down, meaning the ‘subscribe :)’ that you see is actually edited in, and phoenix put a ‘subscribe :)’ one block left and one block up from the approximate location of the one edited into the video.
Dude is a man of so many talents that we keep discovering them.
I was going to suggest that everything in the inventory is in temporal stasis, but then I remembered that clocks and compasses continue to function normally. Now I don't know what to think. Maybe redstone based things in the inventory are immune to temporal stasis? Does that mean that if Steve gets hiccups, pistons in his inventory could accidentally activate and push items out of him?
I originally thought this was ultimately the only possibility…but damn I never thought about that. But the mouth theory seems to also fall short regarding the sponge, as the conditions required to become wet are the same as those the coral have required to live. Meaning dry sponge and live coral coexisting is contradictory. Steve’s inventory also shares aspects with all other chests, so there’s actually a lot more nuance to this then I had originally thought.
But, unless I'm mistaken, you can have a living Coral next to a dry sponge. The sponge just needs to have been put down before there was any water there. Meaning, technically, there could be a condition where a dry sponge can be placed down in the inventory next to a living Coral block or fan and it still works. Also, maybe Steve's saliva is resistant to flames and absorption. After all, as a videogame character, wouldn't he have evolved to be able to store stuff like flames and beds without them getting soaked?
A "hiccups make you drop a few items at random" mod might actually be funny.
His diaphragm is an observer and when he has hiccups, the piston activates
Considering the amount of items he can store, I'll go with the fact that Steve's insides are just a black hole.
I can only imagine the pain Steve goes through when he puts a lava bucket in his mouth
all the nerve endings are gone after the first time
And when he fills his mouth with cactus.
dont forget arrows.
Don’t forget swords. It’s like swallowing a sharp tortilla chip vertically but worse and bigger. .

I think Steve's inventory actually just stops time. You can have leaves that will never decay, water that won't evaporate, fires that don't go out, and, yes, fish and coral and plants that won't starve or suffocate while in there. Essentially nothing in Steve's inventory experiences entropy. It's just that simple.

It is not his mouth, the update that blocks do when they’re placed is not available in the inventory. That’s also why when you have unwaxed copper blocks in your inventory, they don’t oxidize. Also, the game is coded for when you throw out items it throws it is the direction you looking. This allows you to have accurate item throw. Also, if you haven’t noticed when you throw it out with the item in your hand, it comes out from the mouth as well. This is proof that this is just game code.

1:20 The text does not simply unrenders, it is always rendered but from only one side.
I think Steve's inventory is just a pocket dimension where all things are sort of "paused" so nothing grows or dies or anything. This would also explain how he can hold so much. He's not actually holding it, he's just storing it away.

Steve is like Kirby, the inventory, it is a time vortex, all that enters doesn't age unless it's being used. This means, theoretically, Steve is a time god.
This checks out, because time only passes when he's nearby, and phantoms don't spawn if he stays awake in the Nether or the End for a few days and nights. He's the only creature that can skip the night by sleeping.

Kirby is ofc different than Steve because everything that Kirby swallows goes into his pocket dimension.
@@GreenKirby808 True, but that's why I say is Like, rather than exactly like. But what is the minecraft inventory but a literal "pocket" dimension.
Steve is in a quantum state of being wet and dry at the same time
schrodingers steve
I can only imagine when Steve puts 8 stacks of of cactus in his mouth-
I love how Steve is standing there at the end like “what did I do?”
Could also mean Steve’s body is on the Goldilocks zone, meaning not too dry and not too wet either
This just tells me that Steve can hold the weight of literal planets in his mouth without even trying
He can hold the universe if he puts his whole inventory with Shulker boxes in every shulker box are shulker boxes and so on..millions of times and at the end at every shulker box is the inventory full with netherite stacks or what has more weight?
They shrink to the weight of absolute nothing
This also implies though that each inventory type is 'wet' cause you have chests, ender chests, barrels, furnaces minecraft chests and furnaces, hoppers, dispensers, droppers, shulker boxes. Not including chests or inventories on rideable mobs too and whatever else I failed to mention.
I think the text “unrenders” because theres only correctly flipped normales on one side, it’s the same reason you used to be able to see through the edges of Blocks; basically when your making 3d models, making them double sided I believe reduces performance, you usually what you do is you only make one side of the model visible and the other side see-through. Of you have Blender you can See the normals on objects
Yeah, this makes sense Much more then Steve having the "Backpack of ultimatum", an artefact that hold entire mountains but has no weight. It has an aquarium as well :)
I'd like to think that Alex's inventory is neither moist nor dry in general, but is in fact an extradimensional space that stops time from passing for objects within it. You could refute this, saying that an item that Alex drops an item (either by pressing "Q" or for some other reason, like a Charged Creeper) that it doesn't get waterlogged (Stairs, Buckets) in the water or melt / dry out (Ice or Sponge in the Nether).
2:34 you're not Steve, but the items still not drying on your inventory
3:36 ABSOLUTELY FLABBERGASTED
It's good to know Steve can pack items away like a chipmunk, as always a fabulous video!
Each slot in the inventory is a different part of his body that he can control to be moist, hot, or any other
3:32 That- WHY HAVEI NEVER NOTICE THIS?!
A simpler answer would be saying that Steve's inventory is in the state of superposition: it is both moist, allowing corals to live and not dry out, and yet at the same time it's dry, allowing torches and fireplaces (why is it lit in your inventory anyways?..) to stay lit.
I always thought that the inventory was a finitely sized pocket dimension separate from space and time, and as such time does not affect anything in it, except the clock
that's basically what steve's mouth is :P
You can also go last the sign with the Sl unicode when writing text
So steve is likely not a descendant if primates, but chipmunks instead. Maybe the endermen are the real people and we are just chipmunks ruining their sandbox
1:14 This (backface culling) actually applies to most textures in Minecraft. It's why you can see through walls while inside them in spectator mode.
That goes for most textures in all games cause there’s no reason to texture the back if your not gonna see it

2:49 Not enough moisture to obsidify the lava and it's in a bucket so it's safely contained. Same for the campfire and the torch is upright, not flopped to it's side, and the fire charge is pretty fire resistant until it hits something.

@@Mudd4073 oh no, a lave bucket would turn to obsidion

The reason the lava bucket doesn’t turn into obsidian is because the lava is actually in the bucket, so it does not directly touch water.
The soft and wet joke makes no sense knowing his ability, especially go beyond, but it's amazing. Btw soft and wet go beyond is a stand in jojo. It's really powerful and is in the 8th part (that hasn't been animated yet)
3:12 Sponges can't absorb the water off a fish, nor can it take water from a thrown bottle, just not enough water.
It's actually pretty cool if you think about it, ( well if the mouth has enough space of course)
my first thought when you mentioned the fire was the people who do the fire breathing performances XD
The problem with the whole stored in the mouth thing is that chests have the same properties as the inventory. Not to mention sponges would eventually become wet if Steve kept producing saliva and Steve wouldn't be able to eat food. It would make more sense for the inventory to be stored down the shirt where sweat would keep the coral alive, but not be constantly produced to the point where sponges would become wet, as it would dry as quickly as it becomes wet. Not to mention there's more room than in the mouth and it leaves the mouth open to eating food.
