    • @@moynevilla1 A goalie can give up an average goal and still be standing on his head. But regardless, sealing the post doesn't change anything. That goal is the result of a defensive lapse, not a goalie misplay. A vertical passing play from behind the net that happens faster than you can react to isn't being scored because the goalie isn't in perfect position. It's being scored because multiple defenders got outworked and left their goalie in a bad position.

  • Everyone saying that this is a humiliating series for Boston... 42-18... yaddah yaddah yaddah... Ya there is times that the bruins should put pucks on net (Lohrei, McAvoy), but that's the bruins' style. They play defensively, grind the boards and look for the extra pass. They came in the heavy underdog in this series, and they have equaled Florida's aggression and leveled the ice but made some mistakes in the process. Game 3 if Lohrei doesn't take a terrible high stick they are pushing to tie to end the second, instead of going into the third down 3-0. Even after that we played hard, but the horrible penalty on Lauko killed some momentum. Still, they play hard finish that game 4-2. (W/o empty netters) Game 4 Bruins open well but again take terrible penalties (Pasta, Maroon, Geekie????). They keep the game at 2-1 until Lindholm is called for a ticky-tack interference which leads to a clear goaltender interference, (If you want to allow the refs/Toronto to hide behind some written rule about penalty blah blah whatever). With the blown call and the ensuing power play the momentum swings and they can't bounce back. They definitely missed Marchand on the PK tonight. What I want to say is this has been a very hard-fought series and could have swung the other way (3-1 Bs or 2-2) rather easily. Florida's power play rivals Edmonton's so you just can't afford bad penalties or bad calls. Either way I don't think this series is over and just looking at stats doesn't tell you the story. Think this could be very interesting if Bruins show some belief in game 5.

    • 24-7 in penalties says it all no suspension for Bennett for punching out best player and getting no suspension or even a minor, when Boston sneezes on team headsnap and they get the call against, this has Bettmans fingerprints all over it. Who do you think they were on the phone with to make the call on the Bennett goal? or are you new to the Nhl.

      @joedoggie9098@joedoggie909810 күн бұрын
    • I agree the call on the goal was 50-50, but I don't see where the call for a suspension on Bennett is coming from, Marchand absolutely made a blunder on his hit and caught an unlucky hit to the head, combined with another collision he had with a different Panthers player it injured him. Bennett being the villain to Boston is fine, but there was no suspension justification there. FYI in my opinion Florida played the worst hockey they've played this series, it was sloppy, a lot of bad pass receives, puck control issues, etc. and still won from a 2-0 deficit, I don't see Boston winning this series. Realistically if Swayman wasn't such an insanely solid goalie, the score should have been 8-2 but he made some really nice saves many times.

  • The call could definitely be interference with goaltender. How could he possible move when enemy player pushed another player into him with strength you cannot stand out
