Surprise Military Family Welcome Home at South Carolina Football Game

2012 ж. 5 Қаз.

The Faile family from Kershaw, South Carolina, was the Columbia Metropolitan Airport Military Family of the Game, set to be recognized on the field. Their first surprise was a message to them from their dad/husband, Sergeant First Class Scott Faile, playing on the video board, followed by an even bigger surprise. The Gamecocks would go on to beat Georgia, 35-7, just as Sgt. Faile predicted.

  • When a mom pushes her kids out of the way to be first to hug her man... not even the crowd noise is as strong as that marriage. 💪

  • If you've never been in this situation, where your father, mother, brother, or sister has been away at war. I can not express the pure joy of returning home, and seeing your family. Videos like this always puts a smile on my face. Because I've been there, and I know exactly how this family feels.

It would have become slightly better in the last 20 years with the mobile coverage and all but until the 90s a soldiers job involved way too much resolve, grit and sacrifice. • I personally do know what this kind of homecoming is like, but when I deployed with the Marines to overseas in the 80s l left when my wife was 8 months pregnant and did not return until our son was 2 and a half years old. Our daughter at that time was 7 years old. It took a while for him to come to daddy, but my daughter came right to me. ❤

  • This is awesome to watch... and listen to. The crowd cheer loudly when the soldier mentions their support, then when he mentions them playing they raise the roof (if it had one). At the end of his link the cheers even louder and when he is announced as being there... the cheers go into the stratosphere. Amazing stuff

      @pauljohnson3340@pauljohnson33405 жыл бұрын
    • @@pauljohnson3340 Well he expressed it in a harsh way and of course many american soldiers are good people but the core of his message is true. America supported Saddam Hussein during the Iran Iraq war eventho it was known he used poison gas against Iranians and Kurds, they sanctioned Iraq after the second gulf war leading to the death of 500.000, all reasons for the Iraq war were lies and the invasion lead to a huge instability which caused the rise of isis. In Vietnam, Iraq and so on the US military used chemical weapons such as Napalm and white phosphourus which burned thousands of civilians to death and lead to disabled newborns even today. The USA has overthrown mutliple reform oriented governments to secure their power (such as in Iran 1953 or Chile 1973), they also surpressed workers of United Fruits in Guatemala and overthrew those who stood up against the almost non existent wages and tried to establish some kind of workers rights. Of course many soldiers have good intentions, and these should be honored. In return, those who rape children, murder famlies, shoot up civilians from helicopters, make use of napalm and chemical weapons should not be honored but trialed.
