What’s Catch me if you can about?
Based on a true story, this classic movie directed by Steven Spielberg, tells the tale of Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio), a young man who successfully managed by the age of 21 to con millions of dollars by pretending to be a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a Louisiana parish prosecutor. Tracked for years by obsessed FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), the young mastermind was able to slip through his fingers multiple times, enjoying himself in the process. The con artist's foremost crime was check fraud which he carried out so expertly that by the end of the movie he gets recruited by the FBI to help them with check forgery cases.

      @OpheliaNL@OpheliaNL2 жыл бұрын
    • @@OpheliaNL Your point has a slight amount of merit to it, however, the situation we had right up until Covid was that airlines competed against each other so fiercely that they ran the airline on paper-thin margins, sometimes at a loss to push their competitors out of certain routes.. Air travel went from something people would do as a real treat for themselves and perhaps their children, something they would save up a couple of years to experience and dress up for the occasion, to what we have now, which is airports full of screaming children and people wearing shorts and flip-flops to non-tropical locations. Air travel pricing became a race to the bottom to the point where people on government unemployment payments can afford to travel to places they can't afford to stay, and when the hotel companies took a leaf out of the airline's book and began building super-budget minded no-frills hotels, what were once pristine destinations visited by just a small cohort of high quality tourists are now overrun by messy and disrespectful Aussie bogans and British chavs (and the like)... The fact is, rampant tourism has ruined all but a few parts of the world, especially South East Asia, a region whose economies have become so dependant on rampant unchecked tourism that the drop in tourist numbers during Covid immediately destroyed entire Asian economies.

(Especially since most airlines required the female flight attendants to be single) Today, it's far more likely that you'll be banned from the airline and charged with "sexual harassment" if you pick the 'wrong one' to ask.
