I was privileged to have met Oba Ogunoye, the deceased father of the reigning monarch in Owo today. I was a trainee news reporter for what was then Nigerian Television Service NTS which later became known as NBC-TV and ( now NTA). Oba Ogunoye was a quiet and unassuming gentleman. Merely finding yourself in the great king's presence wouldn't reveal much to you about his supernatural powers. But he was a very pleasant and soft-spoken monarch all the same.
