Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel, and today I'm back on the topic of the Angel Island Zone glitches, being how my most popular video was about that, and I figured you guys would want a 3rd one.
So make sure you try out this flying Hyper Sonic glitch for yourself, because it really is one of the cooler Sonic Mania glitches.

fun fact: the balance on the thumbnail is actually an unused balance for if super sonic looked left when at the edge of a platform.
For anyone wondering: The debug button is the same button as deleting a save file. Or just the left button

I kinda thought the flying super sonic outside of egg reverie zone was like a mod or something, but nope. Really clever how you stack a visual bug on top of a few other bugs to get an effect remarkably close to hyper sonic. Good job! May I ask why this only works in angel island zone? Shouldn't anywhere work(without the low gravity if there's no water)?
Thanks a lot! Yeah so the reason it only works in angel island is because, from what I've figured, angel island is a stage that was only meant to be played in encore mode, so it's very glitchy and unfinished in mania mode. This somehow causes the sprites to stay the same even when you're not pressing anything. This means that when he begins to change color, that stays the same as well. Also, the high jumping glitch works anywhere l. Sorry if that was a bit wordy!
hyper sonic is all 7 chaos emerald colors changing around not blue but lighter

This glitch works only on the PLUS version. I tested this in the no plus version and it didnt work. Once i did it in the PLUS version, it worked.
Oh cool. That sucks but that's for telling me, because a lot of people had asked me in the past and I didn't know.

the zero gravity thing after you drown yourself isnt a part of that you can do it as normal sonic or anyone really and its really simple because since you died you still have the water gravity but the game will think your still in the water so the gravity stays

I can’t get hyper sonic. It’s too hard in Nintendo.
Its a difficult glitch but I'm pretty sure other people have gotten it on switch, so it should still be possible, but good luck trying

I did it on my switch and I pulled it off with out the r on the hud
I just got normal Sonic and the weird zone that I just got some KZheadr then I just turned it to normal Sonic and I can still do the egg reverie code fly?

While doing this i discovered another glitch where sonic starts flying with his speed and it's not super sonic is regular sonic
Yep that cam happen too. Actually there are a lot of glitches in mania angel island

Well I just checked, and the glitch isn't patched. I guess just try pressing it at different times, until you find that short window of time where you can do it.

That's weird, but there is a cheat code to get debug mode
So the code is to go enter this code at the title screen before you see the "plus" come down: up up down down up up up up. I saw that on a video once, but it was a while ago so I'm not sure if it's patched now.

Yeah it's really hard to get, you kind of just have to try it a bunch, but I found it's best to press and hold it just a second or so before the cutscene starts, but idk if holding it actually makes a difference.

Just try it a few times. Since a Angel Island is so glitchy, it might take a few tries.
