@auntydaleАй бұрын
"Unscripted" is fairly broad in how it's used. Sometimes it's a one-and-done spur of the moment that mostly works by somebody fucking something up, and/or co-stars giving genuinely surprised reactions. Other times it's more of a " it wasn't in the script but the actor felt like a small adjustment would fit the character better and asked the director to try it, so we tried it one take and liked it so much we did 10 more shots 'till we got it right". Fairly certain that is one of the latter cases. I think I also remember seeing an old interview with RDJ where he was talking about Stark being this arrogant prick with a huge ego that loves being the center of attention, so it just didn't fit the character to deny being Iron Man when admitting it aligns so much more with everything we know about the character, and thus asked permission to change it before shooting the scene.

@@Ifailedeverything I respectfully disagree. Tennant and Tate could throw rotten tomatoes at passing cars and I'd find it vastly entertaining. Their chemistry is unparalleled. If you are no longer a fan (which I feel you stop being, if you think any of it sucks, and this is just MY opinion, though I've met many people who agree), at least you have plenty of years of older episodes to be entertained by. Every show I watch has had some episodes I didn't like AS MUCH as other episodes, but I've never stayed with a show I think has really crashed and burned. There are very few that applied to. But The X-Files is a big example of one that did, even though I like Robert Patrick. As a fan I make a point of finding positive things in every episode of a show, and with most movies. And also in my opinion (and you're totally free to disagree), that's what a fan really does. You don't stop supporting your team just because they have a few bad games. You stay with what you love, even if every bit of it isn't always a 10! (Heh, see what I did there?) Have a brilliant evening (or whatever it is where you are).

Thing is that last one is like theater 101. At least when I was in a children’s theater program at the ages of 6 to 10, our teachers taught us to not only memorize our lines but a couple lines before and after our line. Not only does it ensure that you know when to say your lines, but if the other person has a brain fart you can improvise in character to help jog their memory and keep the show going. On stage, you can’t stop the show if you forget what you’re doing. Everyone has to be able to step up and support each other at a moment’s notice to keep everything running smoothly. It’s just a basic skill that you learn from doing stage acting.

@@TragerM Was he already adamantine Wolverine? If so, he is bodied by both of them. If not, Xavier bodies Wolverine. Wolverine isn't that strong offensively. He just has an insane physical defense. Xavier gets around it by attacking the mind, and only something like Magneto's helmet would save him. Magneto would control his body and shoot him to the sun. That is why he survives as long as he does. He is smart enough to know unless it is a surprise attack, he outright loses to the 2.

@@Ifailedeverything nah, you’re probably one of those people who complained when jodie was cast as the doctor because she’s a woman and it “broke tradition” despite the doctor literally being an alien
I hate it when they put deliberate errors in their video to spike engagement... Just like the director of Ironman...
Yes, anding at its finest.
“When the Marvel cast goes off script” *entire Iron Man 1 movie*
I heard it was more of general dialogue, but as you said, mostly unscripted. Similar to Robin Williams in Aladin.
What script?
Wolverine drops the first F-bomb... when confronted by people thinking they're above him. Yeah... that was in character level of response.
Um.... given at that moment, at least, he had no idea who they were, he really wouldn't have cared... above wouldn't have counted, cuz he knew he could kick their butts and not even drop ash off his cigar.. (shrugs)
@@williamstandish2926 That's the thing though.... He knows himself and he assumes he is golden for anyone he goes against.... Given he had no idea who the hell those two people were he couldn't have cared less what they had to say to him... Basically you're thinking too hard and deep into something that was just meant to be hilarious for the audience.... It was meant to be a ten second joke and that's all it was... No need to analyze it beyond that....
@@williamstandish2926 Also I don't understand your phrasing about the word "bodied"....
RIP Chadwick! You are missed.
I'm impressed with how much improv there was and how it all helped make those movies great!
I know right i cant imagine those movies without those funny and really emotional scenes created by the improvisation
Hayley Atwell being so stunned by Chris Evan’s bare chest that she reached out to touch it is the most relatable thing ever.
swap their genders though and it becomes very weird.
Many women everywhere were probably jealous of Hayley for doing that 😂.
@@kevinstull8552I was actually laughing at the whole situation. Like yes gurl, I'd be tempted too!😂
This is hilarious, thanks. Being a nerd, I have to point out that Loki was not Thors stepbrother, he was his adopted brother.
I noticed that, too. My pup was laying on me, and I accidentally startled her when I suddenly hollered, "Adopted!" 😊😅
"Have a care what you say about Loki, he's my brother!" "Loki killed 80 people" "He's adopted...?" 😂
6:14 The look on Tom Hiddleston's face (Loki) is in character but is mostly the look of an actor totally in awe of Anthony Hopkin's delivery. He instantly recognized it how incredible it was, delivered by an absolute master.
Definitely Sean Gunn cracking up and Tom Holland was channeling his inner David, Dr Who, Tennant’s, “I don’t want to go”.
it made me choke up he did so well really made me feel the desperation of the situation
Had no idea Robert Downy Jr. when he said, 'That man is playing Galaga!" was improvised. Did not know many of these. Pretty amazing actually.
I love the comedic moments in Marvel movies. And Thor Ragnorok is by far my fave!
Phenomenal how Robert Downey Jr ad libed so much
Makes me wonder how much just didn't make the cut, but was nearly as great.
he must just be an acting genius he is so awesome I especially enjoy the type of character he plays he does it so well
the best is how often you can catch him eating. None of which is in the script, guess he would stash food and just start munching.
I think that when actors are allowed to improvise - that's when the real magic begins :)
The distraction dance scene in Guardians 1 will always be a favorite. Improved on the spot by Chris, no one else knew it was coming and the ensuing reactions are genuine. This is why I love the MCU cast, they get along so well and have such good chemistry that when one of the comedians in the cast does something spontaneous, the reactions are gold and the scene still works
6:14 That growl would shut anybody up.
"father-" "AAEERRGGGGHHH"
At this point surly it's "RDJ we're going to do this scene, this is how we imagine things are going to happen, but you go do your thing and fix it."
the last scene with rdj and tom is funny cuz that scene made a very good atmosphere for a sarcastic uncle or role model kind of figure as rdj is trying to speak with the young spider man. telling him to move his leg so he could sit in such a snarcy way, and the fact that directors kept it really made the scene great hahaha I laughed so much the first time I saw it and finding out it was improvised is even better XD
No one ever talked about it but Michael Rooker's character in GOTG was one of the most iconic.
"I'm Mary Poppins, Y'all."
MCU will never be same
fr
This is part of the magic of the MCU at its finest. And BTW, while his "I am Iron Man" line may be the best remembered, RDJ's most incredible add-lib may be the Jericho Missile speech ... ALL OF WHICH was ad-libbed.
As quoted by the narrator, the "I am Iron Man" ad-lib (4:40) was approved by director Kevin Feige. The problem here is that Kevin Feige was not the director of that film. Jon Favreau was the director.
Try me, Beyonce. I always respected dude for not breaking character.
Thank you for showing these. I knew of a few of them but not nearly that many.
❤️ this so much. Thanks for uploading 😁
Xhosa is the language used on Black Panther. Pronunciation is kow-suh. Kow rhymes with more and boar.
I love Ragnarock! I can watch that and Guardians 2 over and over again. :)
It's "Ragnarok" with no C. But actually, that's cool, and it's why Walt Simonson insisted on giving the first part of his classic Thor arc the title "Ragnarok and Roll."
@@seanbigay1042 :) I was thinking about Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song when I typed it out.
There’s more to the scene with Logan too. Supposedly the other two couldn’t actually get to their real lines so they just walked back out since they couldn’t contain their laughter/surprise at the response from jackman 😂
I miss those inspired movies. Where is that MCU gone?
We went from professionals who love and respect the source material, to political activists who never read the comics or even watched the previous films!
"Thor's stepbrother Loki" let me stop you right there my friend
Get help was the biggest reason my favorite Thor movie was Thor ragnarok
Seeing your favorite actors every day is wonderful
Yeah Yondu was awesome Michael Rooker is an underrated actor.
You didn't include the scene of Thor hanging Mjölnir on a coat rack?! C'MON that was improv gold
felt a sleep 5 times before min 3 with that voice. thanks.

That makes me wonder then instead of revealing himself. What was Stark actually supposed to say instead?
He was meant to deny that it was him and give the army and US government full credit.

@@user-fp5vf9qh3i XD
What would the movies after that, have been like if he had?
great ad lib by all the reporters jumping up on the spot, or was that just a different shot, I guess
I question some of these being ad libbed since they require the efforts of more than one actor and a different shot. Specifically, the “get help” gag plays out over more than one scene which would require different set ups that need crew members to do.
Loved the whole thing.
Tom Holland's "I don't want to go", is clearly a throw at Dr Who - as any Wnovian can tell you 😂😂😂
I love Yondu, wish they would bring him back.
8:29 I never thought a marvel movie scene could bring me to tears, but this does it.
where is the leats eat swarma scene?
The Scene where he destroys the coffeemug is one of my most favs. Glad they didnt dump it.
Greats doing great work!
Hey, Auntie is a favorite line in my family 😂😂😂
Ragnorak is my favorite
Tom Hiddleston in the scene where Thor is banished is just the e embodiment of “what did I do???”
Ragnarock was the best Thor movie!
What are you saying? Ragnarok was one of the best, I've only heard people say good things about it
Haha wow the other day i was looking at family pictures.there was one of my nephew i took pictures of,he saw put his fork and knife down with a major grin like thor getting his picture taken 😆
3:56... anyone else hear the high pitched failed attempt to not laugh in the background?
Yep.
Love these brothers ❤❤❤❤❤
I mean it worked so well to the character. Tony was arrogant.. you seriously think he can keep that from people?
“Hey, auntie” 😂😂😂
Literally, Thor Ragnarök was one of the best Marvel movies. Bruh...
8:30 makes sense, they wouldn't tell him the actual script.😂
4..44 Iron Man was directed by John Favreau - not Kevin Feige
Why is Gomora was hilarious
Nothing funnier than someone explaining the joke
You have great content but please drop the VO and just play the clips.
8:05 this scene cracked me up SO HARD.... I know ppl like that... so funny... and when ppl get angrier and angrier, it just gets funnier and funnier...
4:46 Jon Favreau directed iron man (2008 & 2010), not Kevin Feige. Feige, however, was the producer and approved the ad lib.
Downey Jr improvised? I am the Ironman? How do you explain all the extras reacted like real reporters?
improvised it during a take, director loved it and adapted the script?
@@manonlanzarotti531 But the extras won't know how to react, this looks like the same take.

when Yondu died I cried a little tear......

Not knowing any of Beyonce's songs, the reference didn't mean a thing to me.
It's actually a Destiny's Child reference, when Beyonce was with a group, and likeable. We're far from that, now.
@@blackdogbrown To be honest I didn't make the link either, I just thought he said it because he didn't think Disney would allow 'Bi-atch'. With your explanation though it adds context in line with his encyclopaedic knowledge of the music industry shown earlier in the film.
Beyoncé who? 😁
Dude, most of the dialogue in Thor: Ragnarok, was improvised.
Love, Love Yondu - please bring him back.
Why is Gamora?
i think the black light scene was a reference to two and a half men
I miss Yandu!!
Ragnarok was only one of the best of the Marvel movies
Get help! 😂
They are going to give back what they stole too. 😂
I can't with 6:04 bro Odin sounded like lion kings intros
About Iron Man when you said "When the director Kevin Feige....". Small mistake? Maybe? But isn't it enough that John Favereu was sidelined in his own Star Wars Mandalorian series to have him also sidelined in his own MCU movie too?
Ragnarok was top 3. Don’t even suggest otherwise.
"Why is gamora" is a classic
I could swr i heard the "another" in the animated series once
"We're 'super' glad it did!" HA, HA, HA!! "Super"?? HA, Ha! I'm extremely glad it did. I didn't know the line, but I laughed a bit when I first heard it. I don't like her music, and I won't listen to it, but I knew once her name was said what it was referencing. I laughed and rolled my eyes. The members of Rush became HUGE stars, by a different and very intelligent generation. I don't hold her lyrics to any kind of match to Rush. Popularity isn't as good as quality. The rest of the video I very much enjoyed.
Loki was adopted.
I just noticed: if Drax wasn’t supposed to have a line after Iron Man says “who is Gamora”, why was there a camera on him when he spoke?
REEEEEEEYYY !!!!!
Ahh bring back the good days of Marvel.
Kevin Feige didn't direct Iron Man.
