Defending the Minutemen Castle from a Synth attack in Fallout 4.

The rockets from your own guns kinda hurt your own people more than the synths themselves.

This happened yesterday for me, and I had just finished moving ALL my companions to The Castle. The Synths were utterly slaughtered and it was amazing. Just imagine Codsworth and Robot Curie cutting down an Institute Courser as well.

I got the automatron dlc, just built a ton of assault trons and sentry bots 😂😂😂

I kept doing this mission and most of my guns are explosive so I had to keep reloading my saves because everytime I would shoot and try to save one of my settlers I would accidentally shoot them in the process and they would turn hostile. I just ended up sitting and watching because I couldn't do anything.

I'm glad I got lucky enough to find the legendary explosive minigun on my playthrough. It came in handy when I was facing down four coursers at once.

I created 2 heavy sentry bots there( belanced mod) . And a total of 512 def. Rekt em so hard :C

when i got attacked I got attacked by super mutants and the behemothes smashed my poeple with rocks

What a waste of mini nukes. Your man made defences seemed to do pretty well though, seen a lot of these videos where all the turrets are destroyed in the first 30 seconds!

I'm guessing lower difficulty. Seems he was going through the synths really quickly. I had three rocket launchers, three heavy laser turrets and three heavy machine guns on both exits. As well as internal heavy laser turrets on the inside guarding the doors. Synths still managed to put to put many of them out of commission. Hell I had several turrets on one courser and it was just steadily mowing down their health.

I stacked all my settlers with combat armor and good weapons external and the two key point and internal facing the infil where those synths got in fat man running artillery it was a smooth fight

I was wondering a good defense to make this an easier battle. ive already beat every story faction for the achievements but started a New game again to get the perfect settlement achievement. I play on v.hard cuz screw survival, I just don't have the time for it and love my fast travel. anyways I started building and built steel walls around the outside of the ruined walls per normal. had a 10 laser turrets facing out on top above the only door and another 10 heavy machine gun ones facing the entrance. I figure bottleneck tactic then realized (because I've beat the game before), synth can teleport ...... yeah need to rearrange lol

I did not prepare at all, I had to lower my difficulty to very easy to barely win, I had like 5 minute men.

I was horribly low on ammo when it happened and I had to build walls and abuse the coursers hit boxes, it took forever but it worked

I built extra walls for that to cover up the damaged walls and then i built a gate witch inside the castle there are turrents facing right on the gate, when they come to get then killed.

I did this mission with a lot of my companions there helping me and Deacon died... I was on the other end of the castle and it said "You are now an enemy of the Railroad" I was like what the hell? The railroad sent me to work with the Minutemen after I became hostile with the institute. I looked everywhere for Deacons body and couldn't find it. That is until a day later (not ingame hours) I found blue ashes and it was him lol. The synths disintegrated him.

That's weird I though companions couldn't die unless you betrayed them. Maybe you accidentally did something to turn the railroad against you.

+KrimzonKnight01 my game bugged on me and I couldn't finish the railroad main story so I had to go to minutemen... And i had all my available companions there and deacon got disintegrated looool. And i was still allied with them its just I couldn't complete the main story for them...

How can I make the BOS (Brotherhood of Steel) attack the castle instead of the institute?? The mission 'Fire support' glitches and I can't join them, I got mad and now I want to kill them.

+ping KNOCKOUT Become enemies. Talk to Preston, he tells you to build artilleries in 5 different locations.

enemys got 1 way in my castle I made fake but good looking walls looks almost new other than ruble everywhere but all I need is missile turrets there and I'm covered;)

anyone else like never get attacked ? and when you do it’s like no more than 5 raiders and your turrets just wipe them out before you get there ? Always felt like base defense was the coolest part but a huge let down there’s like no reason to use the mortar at the castle lol I feel like turrets make it way to easy

I'm level 66, and just got it. I finished the game a while back. Preston told me to clear this cottage which has like 2 raiders in it, when I returned he said the castle needed help. You get a quest to defend it.

PROXGamers you ger the minuteman paint by joining the minutemen and you get the quest randomly (for me)

No in fact since I was attacked by the brotherhood which was ages ago the castle hasn't been attacked since. Every now and again 1 raider will spawn into my castle I hope the fix this
