Jeremy heads out on a boat with Dr Jamie Seymour to try and catch the world's most venomous animal- the Box Jellyfish. They are attempting to collect the venomous tentacles to use to create an anti-venom for their painful sting.

I am sure it's as bad as he said but from what i understand - and don't get me wrong - but usually a person faints and goes into a coma when a pain so high is causing mental sanity breakdown. So if this does not i don't understand.
@@ericastier1646 Usually when you're reaching that level of pain, the cause is traumatic in some way. Fire, loss of limb, necrosis, etc, that sends you into shock, which is what typically makes you lose consciousness. But this is a minor corrosive agent that gets injected into your localized cells and bloodstream. I can imagine how you'd still be awake through the experience, but suffering immensely.

"My wetsuit should act as a barrier." Should???
Yup, cuz the tentacles send its toxins via needles. It would be safe to assume that it "could" possibly penetrate the wetsuit if it was big enough
They can penetrate the suit if they hit in the between the threads. Also the needles can remain on the suit and inject the venom into your skin while you're removing it or touching it.

Im in great awe of Dr. Seymour. He's a legend, seriously. He was stung so darn often by potentially lethal and very painful animals and still keeps on going with his science which is literally saving lifes every darn day.
Getting stung is a sign of incompetence and not know the boundaries.
“They are literally invisible” Him: “Oh, there’s one” from far away
that water was pretty clear compared to most beach water
well if you arent looking for them you probs wouldnt notice them untill its too late. i think thats what they meant
*catches world most venomous animal by hand* Australians: first time ?
I mean if you can just grab "the world's most venomous animal" with your hands, get stung and just endure the pain, I don't think it's the world's most venomous animal. I wonder what criteria they could have used to arrive at this obviously false title. There are snakes and scorpions whose venom often does kill healthy adult humans, and nobody in their right minds would let those bite/sting them.
Sérgio Alves Leaving whether the box jelly is truly the deadliest aside, you should note that the box jelly uses various different toxins. The dude in the video was only hit by a small toxin inflicting pain through the nervous system in the local area of the sting. If he had not taken his hand away and was actually stung by the many needles the jellyfish has, then the deadly toxins would have kicked in; those being toxins that are injected into the circulatory system.
I swear Australia is the place where god put everything that could kill a man in one continent
Sérgio Alves its the most venomous animal because it has the most venom out of any animal in the world. Scorpions have a single stinger while the box jellyfish has many thousands only poisoning you with a fraction of its potential venom.
My dad picked up a jellyfish by the head and put it back in the ocean. :)
"I'm Coyote Peterson and I'm about to wear the box jellyfish as a hat."
SlenderMan Der Ritter Mark: “Are you okay? Do I need to be worried about this?”
It's funny and scary at the same time because we all know he would 100% do that without a hint of worry in his voice. Next thing you know that was his last video
_A couple of years ago, I asked Coyote about taking a lil sting from the Chironex Fleckeri's lil brother called the Irukandji (same one that put Jaime Seymour and his assistant in the hospital for 30hrs in another vid). And that was from just a lil sliver of tentacle that touched Jaime's upper lip. 1 min later his assistant accidentally touched a tiny sliver that was stuck to her glove while trying to help Jaime back in the boat._ kzhead.info/sun/p8WxZa6KbWV7aKs/bejne.html

@THE ANTI UNIVERSE He never said ALL sea turtles though. Actually, not all sea turtles have thick skin around their beaks like the Leatherback turtles do, so not all are immune.
