    • @@ericastier1646 Usually when you're reaching that level of pain, the cause is traumatic in some way. Fire, loss of limb, necrosis, etc, that sends you into shock, which is what typically makes you lose consciousness. But this is a minor corrosive agent that gets injected into your localized cells and bloodstream. I can imagine how you'd still be awake through the experience, but suffering immensely.

I wonder what criteria they could have used to arrive at this obviously false title. There are snakes and scorpions whose venom often does kill healthy adult humans, and nobody in their right minds would let those bite/sting them.

      @BigUriel@BigUriel4 жыл бұрын
    • Sérgio Alves Leaving whether the box jelly is truly the deadliest aside, you should note that the box jelly uses various different toxins. The dude in the video was only hit by a small toxin inflicting pain through the nervous system in the local area of the sting. If he had not taken his hand away and was actually stung by the many needles the jellyfish has, then the deadly toxins would have kicked in; those being toxins that are injected into the circulatory system.

And that was from just a lil sliver of tentacle that touched Jaime's upper lip. 1 min later his assistant accidentally touched a tiny sliver that was stuck to her glove while trying to help Jaime back in the boat._ kzhead.info/sun/p8WxZa6KbWV7aKs/bejne.html
